32 Leaving the Airport

Aida and her group had no idea what happened to Randy. Rather, they made their way back to the locker room to retrieve their items. There was no more incentive to stay here now that the scientists had left.

They were planning to head back into the city. Although their intention is not to return to civilization, they still wanted to have the luxury of nice beds and a kitchen to cook in instead of sleeping on the hard ground and eating bars all day long.

With this in mind, they went into action. Aida and Ace went out to find a car while Light returned to the locker room and consolidated all the items. Of course, Aida first had to return to the locker room first and remove the electricity on the door first. Otherwise, Light would've been knocked unconscious before he got his foot through the door.

Walking towards the parking lot, there were a few stray Enraged walking around. The two got rid of the strays with ease. Entering the parking lot, Ace and Aida had a lot of options for cars. Ideally, they would have one that is both mobile and big enough to fit everyone comfortably. In the end, their eyes landed on a black minivan with a sunroof.

This time, Aida did not need Xiao Ai's help in figuring how to hotwire the car. She now had the databases in her head as well, so the system pulled up an instructional video per her request and she learned how to do it on the spot. Aida was quite fond of this system

From Ace's perspective, she just stood there for a while staring off into space, unlocked the car with a few hairpins and hot wired the car. They hopped into the car and quickly drove to the entrance nearest the locker room. To get there, they had to break open a few gates to drive onto the tarmac.

As Ace drove, Aida propped her head up with her hands as she stared wistfully at the planes that had been grounded. "I've never flown a plane before, maybe we should take a plane as well."

"..." Ace was speechless. What would they even do with a plane in the city?

"Eh~ Does Mama want to play a simulation game instead? Xiao Ai has a game like that!" Bouncing around on the dashboard as she looked at their surroundings, she was somehow able to control a part of the system in Aida's head and pulled up a plane simulation game [1].

The hologram popped up in front of Aida as Aida began studying it with curiosity. It seems she could actually take a crash course of flight simulation right now. Aida began playing around with the simulator as she asked Xiao Ai, "Why is there something like this in the database?"

"Hehe~ Mama asked Xiao Ai to download everything Xiao Ai thinks is necessary for survival and for fun! Xiao Ai downloaded lots and lots of information!"

"Like what?" Ace interjected curiously.

"Um~ Xiao Ai can teach you how to kill a live chicken or how to forge a passport or best practices for robbing a bank. Xiao Ai also tapped into many government databases and downloaded many funny sounding projects like BlueMan, CherryTomato and NightMonkey. But Xiao Ai just downloaded those for fun! Most importantly, Xiao Ai downloaded all of Mama's most precious data."

Ace's eyes flashed for a second but neither Xiao Ai nor Aida noticed as they were both preoccupied at the moment.

They pulled up to the nearest entrance to the locker rooms. Light was already waiting there with the first batch of food and water. He also had the twins sleeping soundly on the cart beside him.

After transporting the twins into the car, they began transporting the food and water as well. Halfway through the process, Aida sensed a few killing intents landing on her. She had honed her skills to detect hostile presences during her time as an assassin.

Using her new system, she checked to see the surrounding area. Somehow, they had unknowingly been approached by about 10 people. Her sudden vigilance did not go unnoticed by Light and Ace who now had a subtle connection to her.

Aida explained aloud, "We have guests arriving."

Right on cue, a group of 10 people approached them with guns in their hands. They were clearly affiliated with the War faction based on the fact that they had access to weapons. The leader came up and threatened them, "Step away from the food and leave. We only want the food and the car."

Aida rolled her eyes. Do these people ever get tired of saying the same thing over and over again? She had heard this speech so many times over the past couple days. At least this one was halfway decent and didn't have a disgusting look in his eyes. Clearly, Aida did not take this threat seriously at all.

Responding playfully, she asked, "Oh? And what will you do if we say no?"

"Then I will be left with no choice but to lock you up," responded the War faction leader.

"Oh my, I didn't expect you to have such strange tendencies." Aida continued her charade as she pretended to cover her body in "fear" of his strange hobbies.

"..." Aida's single statement caused the air to shift from high tension to awkwardness. The followers gave their leader a weird look as though seeing him in a new light. Ace and Light just looked away... they would never acknowledge that Aida was their leader.

Noticing the odd looks, the leader turned red with embarrassment as he coughed and ignored her question. "I repeat, we only want your food and water. Please step away, we don't want to hurt anybody."

Sigh, this man was no fun at all. He wouldn't humor her. Pretending to think about it, she responded, "Hmm.... no!"

The leader turned serious, "Then we will have no choice but to take it by force."
