120 Affinity with Fat Pigs and Bananas

After the sumptuous dinner, everyone stayed in the house for the night and went off to do their own thing. Lucifer and Light followed Aida to a separate room with curiosity.

Sitting down, she brought out the two level 2 psychic gems from her bag. These were the two most intense battles she fought today. All the level 2 Reapers were significantly more difficult to fight than ordinary Reapers as they all had some form of inherent defense, but psychic Reapers were most challenging to fight because their attacks were primarily intangible.

One of the psychic gems was from the illusion Reaper with VR goggles, it was a rainbow colored gem that could induce realistic illusions and hallucinations. The second psychic gem was the precognition ability from the old grandpa with the baby. Both were extremely valuable and rare.

Placing them down on the table, she explained the abilities of each of the gems to the two. Then she turned to look at Light, "My intention is for you to select one of them to become your ability. You can choose first."

Turning to Lucifer, she said, "The other mental gem will go to you. I can sense that your abilities are about to break through to level 2, this gem should help you make that transition smoother."

Lucifer nodded in appreciation while Light looked up towards Lucifer when he heard this. Light stared apprehensively at Lucifer. He had grown up with utterly selfish and unreasonable people his entire life which made him weary of getting priority. Light knew that Lucifer was also urgently looking to level up as well.

Lucifer took the initiative to hand both gems to Light and said, "You keep them both for now. After you make a decision, you can give me the second gem. I intend to consolidate my foundations to level 1 before levelling up." He understood that this was a major decision and it shouldn't be rushed.

Light looked towards Lucifer with a gratified expression. His decision would alter the trajectory of his growth as a fighter. This was a rare and incredible opportunity.

He solemnly said to the two of them, "I will think on this carefully and make a decision soon. Thank you both for giving me this opportunity."

He attempted to bow, but was stopped by both Aida and Lucifer. Both of them left the room as allowed Light to think in peace. Light sat in the room silently, holding both crystals. He stared at them with a pondering expression.

After seeing Yukio's method of communicating with the gems, he spoke out tentatively while holding the rainbow gem, "Are we a good match?"

Waiting a moment, he didn't feel a response from the gem. Sighing, he placed it back on the table, mumbling to himself, "What was I thinking talking to a gem, I must've lost my mind."

He continued to think about the choice for the rest of the evening. On the side, the gems continued to remain silent.

Aida went up to her room and prepared to take a nice rest after talking to Light and Lucifer. She sat down with a handful of gems and closed her eyes. Unfortunately, instead of resting, she was thrown back into the system again.

While standing in the familiar room, Aida began protesting, "What is it now?! I didn't lose a battle or anything, don't tell me you plan to punish me for winning."

"I didn't sign up for all this!" It was then that she finally recalled that Xiao Ai, her devil child, was the one who created this system. Aida's eyes glinted as she thought about how to punish Xiao Ai. Outside, Xiao Ai who was dozing off, shuddered as an unknown chill seemed to have passed by her.

With that, a capsule opened and the fat pig leader from City A opened its eyes and began charging towards Aida. Her powers were back at full capacity in the system so she was able to utilize 100% of her skills. It wasn't much of a battle since she was no longer in her weakened state, with one swipe of her hand, the fat pig died. Transforming back into a human, the system placed him back into its respective capsule.

"..."

"What in the world am I supposed to do with such an affinity?! Can't you be more useful, you con system?!"

Because Aida failed to respond again in her anger, another random opponent was selected. This time, it was a Reaper who loved bananas!

She easily dodged the banana peel he threw and electrocuted him to death.
