207 A New Network

Moving back to the Organization's building, Aida and Xiao Ai were lying unconscious in a white room with no windows. Enyo watched Aida through a camera in the white room as she tapped her fingers on the table, thinking.

'What should I do with her now?' she thought to herself. She wasn't too sure herself why she chose to capture instead of kill these two eyesores. If Ares (Ace) knew what she had done, she would be punished or killed. Her eyes turned serious when she thought of this.

Meanwhile, Ace, who was still typing away on his system, didn't realize what happened at the entrance of the building. He had banned all his subordinates from entering while he was working so no one informed him.

As he continued working, he suddenly noticed that there was a new network that popped up on his computer. As a professional hacker, curiosity led him to dig deeper into the network.

Clicking into the network, lines of code streamed across the many displays in the room. Ace stared at the lines of code in a trance.

Half an hour later, his expression changed as realization dawned on him. With a grim face that Aida wouldn't recognize, he began to tap furiously on his computer.

The network that he was on seemed to react to his code and even more code appeared on the screen, appearing to fight back. Turning grim, he continued to battle the code and type at inhuman speeds.

After 8 hours of sustained typing, Ace suddenly slammed his hands down in anger and flipped the table, shattering the monitor. "Sh*t!!" It could be seen from his reaction that things weren't going well.

He paused for a second before scrambling to the floor and grabbing the keyboard. Typing a few more lines into the terminal, he hit enter as hope gleamed in his eyes.

Seeing the response from the terminal, he tapped a few more buttons on his computer and forcefully stood up. "This should stall it for a bit longer," he muttered.

An aura of anger and death surrounded him as he stepped towards the elevator. A few of his subordinates greeted him at the door but began shaking in fear and could barely remain standing purely based on the force of his presence. He frowned at the speed of the elevator door closing as if he couldn't wait anymore.

He then ripped a hole in the elevator floor and leaped down into the black abyss. Grabbing onto the elevator pulley, he landed on the ground and forcefully opened the elevator doors.

Stepping out, Ace walked towards a certain room in the basement. The subordinates who had been in the elevator collapsed into puddles as he disappeared. None of them dared to speak a word of protest or even move a muscle even after Ace left.

Ace walked towards the door at the end of the hallway. Without even knocking, he kicked it in and stepped in. Inside, he could see Enyo sitting at a table with her feet propped up and her eyes glued to the video.

Hearing the door busted open, Enyo lazily turned towards the door and saw it was Ace. Shocked, she stood up and attempted to use her body to cover the video feed. Sadly for her, it was too late and Ace had already seen the screen.

Moving fast as if teleporting, he immediately appeared before Enyo and backhanded her. Her whole body flew across the room and hit the concrete wall. Blood was dripping from her head but she ignored it. Crawling to her feet, she stood up and glared defiantly towards Ace. "Look at how useless that girl is."

Ignoring Enyo's words, he glared viciously at her and asked, "Where are they?"

Enyo opened her mouth to retort but, upon seeing the killing intent in his eyes, she simply pointed in a direction.

Moving as fast as teleportation, Ace kicked open another room and found Aida lying there. He searched through Aida's pockets and found Xiao Ai. Picking up the small bun, he immediately ran back to the room where Enyo was sitting. Ignoring her presence, he went to the nearest outlet, ripped it open and stabbed the live wires into Xiao Ai.

Enyo's eyes widened as she saw this. She had no idea what he was doing, but wisely knew to remain silent. She was also shocked that his choice wasn't to go and pick Aida up but to grab the small steamed bun instead.

Watching, her eyes widened even further to the point they were about to pop out as she saw Xiao Ai slowly reanimate and grow in size. Ace also watched intently as Xiao Ai grew and mumbled to himself, "Not enough, not enough!"

He glared at the staring Enyo and said, "Get me the backup power supply generator cord."

Enyo stared uncomprehendingly towards Ace.

"GET IT NOW!" Ace shouted.

Hearing this, she finally snapped out of her stupor and dashed with inhuman speeds to grab the backup generator. She recognized the tone that Ace was using and smartly knew better than to question anything he said.

Within a minute, she returned with a cord in hand. Ace roughly grabbed it from her and directly plugged it into Xiao Ai as well.

The moment it made contact, there was a mini-explosion like boom that shook the entire building and then Xiao Ai opened her eyes.
