Quickly tossing a second gun to Rin while reloading her own, she told him, "Get ready, there are going to be a lot of Enraged and Reapers coming our way soon. You take care of all the Enraged and I'll take care of the Reapers."

Saying this, her mouth formed a slight smile as her eyes glinted with excitement.

"Okay~ I'm ready. Bring it on monsters!" hollered Rin with excitement. He seemed to have learned more from Aida in the past couple days and enjoyed fighting as much as she did.

Aida turned to Ace and brusquely tossed a gun over to him as well, "Defend yourself and don't hit us."

She dashed out to the front and began confronting the Reapers that had already shown up. There were 3 in total, one was a balding man with long muscular gorilla looking arms, the second was a thin librarian looking lady with long hair, and the last was a normal looking man in his 20s that appeared to have black specks that seemed to wink in and out of existence, it looked a lot like glitter to Aida.

Throwing knives towards all three of them, she successfully attracted their aggro. Behind them was a hoard of Enraged, "I'll leave them to you!" shouted Aida.

"Ok~" responded Rin as he began shooting. Most of his shots were 1 hit kills. He was pretty efficient and responsibly shot at the targets instead of fighting them with hand to hand combat as he wanted to.

On Aida's side, all three knives were ineffective against the Reapers. Two of them had dodged it while the gorilla man knocked it away with his long arms. It was going to be a fun challenge. She was excited to do a 3 on 1 fight with superpowers.

The gorilla man was the first to reach her as he threw out a strong punch. Aida quickly dodged the punch as she weaved closer to his body. Above them, the librarian Reaper had used her long hair to climb up a light pole and was about to kick her from above. It seems her hair was able to elongate and shorten to her wishes, she was like Medusa but without the petrification.

Changing her trajectory, Aida slid between the gorilla man's foot to dodge the attack from the librarian causing the librarian to kick the gorilla man in the face. As soon as she moved out from under, the last Reaper sent his attack.

He was clearly an elemental user as he threw a black ripple towards her. Sensing the danger contained in the ripple, she quickly dodged to the side as the ripple slid past her and disappeared. The normal looking man called out to the other reapers with a growl and they collectively retreated to regroup.

That was the end of the first wave of attacks. The three Reapers quickly regrouped and prepared to fight again. This time, they coordinated their attacks a little better, preventing themselves from hitting each other. The gorilla man was clearly the vanguard of the ground while the librarian was the support. While these two did the majority of the attacking, Aida could sense that the normal looking man was most dangerous.

As they coordinated their attacks, it left Aida with no opportunity to counterattack. Everytime she seemed close to landing a solid hit on one of the Reapers, a black ripple would appear right where she was going to hit.

Up till this point, Aida still had not used her superpowers at all. It wasn't that she didn't want to use her power, but that she needed to conserve energy. This fight wasn't the end of the potential dangers that lay in this city, and she had to make sure she had enough energy to fight the following battles at all.

This stalemate continued for a long time as she was still unable to land a hit on the Reapers, and they didn't seem to be able to land a hit on her either. She also had to work extra hard so that none of the Reapers had time to turn their attention to Rin or Ace.

Soon, Rin had finished off all the Enraged that approached and ran over to help Aida. He quickly fired a few shots at the normal looking man as he approached. "Sis!! I came to help!"

In the golf cart, Ace also called out, "Go Master! You can do it!"

Ignoring the deadweight, she ordered Rin, "You take the long haired librarian, and I'll take care of the other two. Watch out for her hair, she can change its shape and use it to attack."

"Yes!" responded Rin as he charged towards the lady.

As soon as Rin joined the fight, it became a lot more even. Rin was able to hold his own against the librarian lady as he agilely dashed around and avoided her hair. She ended up in a tangled mess instead. Aida was also slowly gaining momentum over the gorilla man and was close to ending the fight despite the support he received from the normal looking man.

Just as she was about to land the killing blow, Rin screamed out in pain. Turning around, Aida saw Rin fall to the ground as he seemed to have been hit by the normal looking man's spatial attacks.
