18 APPLICATION FOR THE NEW GUILD

Two massive blasts took place simultaneously at the two safes we just stole. Nat immediately looked toward David angrily, held him by his collar, and asked, " What the hell are you doing, David? There are people in there, it's not good to kill innocent people, we are not like them."

Leisurely looking at Nat, David said, " Relax Nat, as you saw there are only a few people guarding the guild and only a couple of them are guarding safes since the majority of members are in the meeting, there won't be any loss of people and those guarding the safes are ordered in advanced to move away from the safe after midnight by Ren, so that they can steal easily... therefore the casualties in that blast is zero. Now leave me." Saying this, he got free from Nat's hands.

Hearing this, Nat felt relieved and they quickly escaped before Ren managed to find them.

Next day at the inn in the girl's room

Elena slowly wakes up at noon and looks around only to find that she is alone. Looking at the sun at its zenith, she came to know that she overslept and hurriedly got refreshed and went down to meet her siblings and also to have lunch as she is starving.

Looking at Elena coming downstairs, David with fake anger on his face says, " Elena, why are you this irresponsible? We have been waiting for you since morning to discuss our next step and you are still sleeping till noon."

Elena's lips twitched slightly and she thought, 'Instead of waiting you could have woken me up you idiot.' But she didn't say that loud as that would only waste more time arguing. While she was thinking that, Nat glares at David and says, "It's your fault that she is sleeping since you drugged her." with a smirk on her face.

"You traitorous little assassin, your profession should be snitch instead of assassin." David angrily spouts at Nat. Jack is just having fun while listening to them.

"Is it true that you drugged me?" Elena asked David with a smile that made cold sweat run down his back.

"Don't blame me, it's your fault that you aren't able to find that your food is spiked." He tried to put blame on Elena in the hope that she would leave him.

"Haa... forget about it, we will discuss it later. Now tell me, why did you do that?" calmly asked Elena.

"Before I say anything you should eat something first as you are hungry." Saying this Jack ordered food for four and took it to Elena's room to eat and discuss.

Nat narrated everything that did last night after David drugged her and how they robbed their own guild and blasted a part of it. As the narration progress, Elena's expression changes from time to time and finally she lets out a sigh. Even though she is still against resorting to theft, what David did is for their own benefit so, she couldn't punish him and just left him with a warning.

Then she collected all the rings from them and looked through them and pulled out all the gold, silver and copper coins and it formed a pile that is up to their waist. Most of the pile(up to 60%) is made of silver coins and 25% gold and the remaining 15% copper coins.

Looking at the pile, all these things you stole don't belong to Ren, it belongs to the guild. It's good that you guys managed to keep them safe from him, but this also doesn't belong to us. So we will distribute it to our members.

" " "WHAT???" " " the remaining three people shouted in surprise.

"Relax, I am not a fool to give them all. We will keep all the resources and 40% of this money for ourselves and will distribute the remaining money," said Elena trying to calm them.

"Huff... You scared me for a second there," said David after releasing his breath.

"Don't worry, I know we need money and resources if we want to start a guild. Now take the 40% and store it in the rings and divide the remaining amount into equal parts and keep them with us. we will distribute them after a couple of days." saying this Elena started counting money and the remaining 3 also joined quickly and in an hour they made 48 equal parts of the remaining money that would be distributed to the guild members who are loyal to their father.

Later in the evening, Elena and David went to the local branch office of the Royal Court in the town which deals with matters regarding guilds present in the town. After entering the branch office, she filled out a form to start a new guild and based on the number in her group, she wanted to start it in a village and paid the application fee of 10 silver coins. If she managed to get permission to start the guild, she needs to pay a deposit of 10 gold coins since she is opening in a village, the deposit will increase on the basis of town or city and some other factors. There will also a yearly tax which would be calculated on the basis of the performance and earnings of that guild.

After filling out the application, she came back to the inn and after dinner, she went to sleep along with her sister. She will get the reply for her application in a week, so they have to wait for the time being.

Within the week many things happened like the theft and bombing in their guild, the disappearance of Ren and his vice-captains and also the mysterious money popping out in front of their guild members and some other things which are unrelated to them.

Finally, after a week, the wait is over and all four of them went to the branch office and received the reply letter from the receptionist and went to a corner and read the letter.

Your application is rejected due to the lack of experienced guild members in your mentioned group and your group is prohibited to form a guild of your own unless you have a sufficient backer supporting your cause to start a guild.

Reading this David flew into a fit of rage saying, " Damn those nobles and that Royal Court, they are just asking us to become dogs to a noble if we want to start a guild of our own. How dare they?" and started causing a ruckus in the office.

Elena quickly grabbed him and pulled him out before any of the personnel from the branch office will make things difficult for them. After coming out, they went back to the inn and cooled David. After that Elena spoke," It's useless, they openly said that we can't have our own guild and we need to go under any of the noble houses, guess our only option now is to join any guild which isn't under the influence of nobles. Haa... it's like finding a needle in a haystack" she sighed gloomily.
