4 Chp 2

"Lloyd, be ready." I say making everyone in the bunkhouse look my way, Lloyd nods my way already knowing what is about to happen.

Everyone gets quiet after I walk in, I have picked up some sort of nasty background that I am a monster, I mean you could say I am but I don't go around hurting people just to hurt them only those who warrant such pain will get it.

I sit at the table and grab my wallet and pull out a 20.

"Deal me in." I say throwing the 20 down, and as soon as I do the chatter comes back.

1 hour later.

I hear the door open so I turn around and see Rip standing there looking at me, he Nods so I stand up, Lloyd follows close behind.

We walk outside and see a skinny dude standing next to the truck.

"What's going to happen to me?" Jimmy asks nervously.

"Jimmy, I swear if you say one more goddamn thing I will stick my foot so far up your ass you will choke on it." Rip says

Jimmy gulps and takes a step back.

"Jimmy, I am only gonna ask you once and answer honestly because your answer will change your life forever." I say.

"O-Ok."

"Do you honestly want to become apart of my family and to live your life on this ranch? Like I said earlier answer truthfully because you won't be able go change you mind later on.

Jimmy looks at Rip and I see Rip glaring at him from the corner of my eye.

"Yea I want to join." I hear Jimmy Mumble.

"Speak up boy." Lloyd barks.

"Yes, I want to be apart or this family." Jimmy shouts with a defeated look on his face.

"Alright, bring him to the spot." I say as they all start to walk towards the woods.

The spot is nothing crazy just a fire in the middle of the woods away from prying eyes.

I walk up and see them sitting around a fire.

"Jimmy whatever you do don't run." Lloyd says.

"Huh?" he exclaims but before he could get a answer he starts to feel a extreme heat come from his right side.

He looks over just in time to see my skin melt off of my face. I have done this so many times now that the pain is almost nonexistent.

"What the fuck!" Jimmy says following off of the log backward that he was sitting on.

He tried to get up and run but Rip grabbed his shoulder.

"We told you, that you will have to pay a price. This is that price." I say grabbing the cold brand off the ground.

As soon as my skeleton fingers wrap around it the whole brand turns a bright orange.

"What the fuck man!" Jimmy shouts terrified.

"Show him." I say in a very demoic sounding voice.

They both pull there shirts up and show Jimmy the Brand on their left pec.

They hand him a stick and he holds it confused.

"Put it in your mouth helps with the pain." Lloyd says.

"I just dont wanna hear you scream like a little pussy." Rip says.

"Hold him," I say and they both grab his arms.

"Wait, wait, wai-" but I cut him off sticking the melting got branding iron right on his chest, the branding iron immediately making a sizzling sound.

Jimmy makes a muffled scream, as I pull the branding iron off of his chest.

I drop it to the ground and back away.

"Welcome to the family Jimmy." I say to the exhausted Jimmy.

*GUNFIRE*

I look away from them toward the gunfire.

"Who is watching the cattle?" I ask, the flames on my body starting to grow a more bright orange as I feel myself slowly losing control.

"Lee." Rip says.

Without waiting another second I make a high pitch whistle.

After waiting 30 seconds.

We hear galloping coming to us from the distance.

I look up and see shadow surrounded by fire.

I immediately hop on and feel myself lose control over the fact that my brother Lee is by himself and may be hurt.

We take off traveling faster than I ever have before leaving fire Indents every time shadows hooves land.

We soon reach the field and I see my brother Kayce sitting down holding a body.

The rider walks closer soon gaining Kayce's attention.

He looks my way and soon drops his guard.

"H-Hes gone Jake." Kayce says, and I immediately feel the hate and anger rush through me.

I hear a groan so I look over and see a man rolling on the ground with blood on his body.

The rider jumps off the horse making his way to the person on the ground he picks him up and makes me look into his eyes, what next is followed by screams of terror as I slowly cook this scum from the heat coming from me.

I let go of my hate and anger, and soon become my normal human self again.

"We need to get him back to the house Kayce." I said.

2 weeks later.

I'm walking through main street trying to find the bar that Beth me to meet her at, but as I was walking around my eyes fall on a girl who was sitting at a table outside with her friends.

I normally would just walk away for many reason but the main one is that I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through life with a monster like me.

I unintentionally stare and I get brought out of my starring from one of her friends getting her attention and pointing my way.

She looks my way and starts to smile.
