*****LEXINGTON MANSION*****

"How's she doing?" Courtney asked Mrs Johnson the head of sunshine rehab on the other side of the phone.

"Ms Stone you don't need to worry about your mother, she's doing good, actually great. She has even made some friends. She's improving really well for someone who was a drug addict."

"That's great to hear, I am happy that her conditions improving," she said. "Has she asked about me?"

"I am sorry but no, Ms Stone. But their is something that I needed to ask you about, it's very important for her treatment."

"Sure, what is it?" Courtney inquired.

"When you mother's asleep she always murmurs the name Hugo," she informed. "I just wanted to ask you, who is he? Is he someone very important to your mom?"

Hugo?! Courtney has always despised that name with every fiber of her being. That name only ever brought back trouble memories for her.

Courtney hesitated for a while before answering, "he's my father."

"Oh! Then where is he?"

"He's not here." She grumbled.

"Shouldn't you maybe call him and inform him about his wife's condition?" Suggested Mrs. Johnson.

"He left."

"Oh! I am so sorry to hear."

"It's fine." Courtney hung up before stashing it into her pocket....."SLOW DOWN LITTLE MASTER!" Courtney yelled as she ran after him through the hallways. The little menace was enjoying making her run after him.

She had been running for so long that her feet ached. How could this little boy run so quickly that she wasn't able to catch up with him? He had a lot of energy for a seven year old.

They ran in the hallways almost bumping into a few servants. Courtney had to figure out a way to catch him before she ended fainting due to tiredness and breathlessness.

"Catch me if you can!" Little master giggled even more when he saw Courtney slowing down. She panting and out of breath, keeping a tight eye on him to avoid any mistakes from last time.

"If you don't stop I will bath you in cold water tonight!" She shouted.

Little master halted in his steps turned around. He stared at Courtney with wide eyes. How could this little miss dare to say that? She knows that he can't manage to bath cold water, and she also knows that he can tell on her and get her fired. But he also knew that Courtney was highly favored in this house.

Courtney took this opportunity and bolted towards him. She lifted him to up and took him straight to his room before tossing him on his soft, bouncy bed. He giggled.

"Now you will sit there and not move. I really don't have any more energy for your games today, maybe tomorrow." Courtney said as she plopped herself down on the other side of the bed.

"Get off my bed!" Little shouted at Courtney.

"What?"

"I said get off my bed!" He then glared at her. "This my bed and you aren't allowed to sit on it!"

"What is this kid's problem; one minute he is having fun with you and the next he is being straight up rude," Courtney mumbled under her breath as she stood up and sat on a cushion on the floor, Which only made the little guy laugh.

The little menace smirked as he also got off the bed and went to sit down on the other cushion on the floor.

Courtney didn't really understand how this kid's brain, or maybe he was just doing everything in order to piss her off. "Now what?"

"What ever do mean?" The little menace asked whilst faking confusion.

"You chased off your bed and told not sit, and now you are following to where you chased me to. Why do really do all this me?" She asked. "I very nice person but if get on my bad side I won't be as friendly and patient as I am right now."

The little boy went into a fit of laughter, wiping a fake tear at the corner of his right eye. "I just like pissing off and making you angry until you reach your limit and throw a tumtrum. You sometimes act like a little kid who has no brain."

"Oh my word, who taught you to say that word? Little kids shouldn't say the word piss, do understand?"

"Is that the only thing that you got out of everything I just said, you never ceases to amaze me!" The little boy laughed even more as rolled on the marble floor, clenching his stomach as he did so.

"SHUT UP!" Courtney bellowed when she couldn't take it anymore. This little kid did have ways to piss her off even when she was trying her best.

Young master was sited on a chair in his spacious yet luxurious office cabin, typing away on his laptop, fully concentrated as a soft knock sounded on the door.

"Come in!" He yelled.

The door opened and a man with devilishly pale skin and blue eyes walked in. His dark hair had been perfectly slicked back.

A smirk appeared on his face as he stared at his boss/best friend. They grew up together and belonged to the same class.

"Good afternoon sir, I am to inform about the annual Gala which will be held next month and I was wondering if you will attending?" He mockingly said knowing that his answer will be definite no, he knows that his best friend/boss is a self certified introvert. And even if he goes he will be going alone.

"I heard that some top businessmen will be attending, this is a very good opportunity to boost our companies image by another 50 percent before the end of this year. And we might get new clients."

"I really don't feel like attending it, but I will just for the sake of our companies reputation."

"You've been in a awfully good mood these past couple of days!" He exclaimed.

It is true that his best has only ever seen him either angry, irritated or annoyed since the incident decades ago, but never happy or calm so it was little surprising for him to agree so easily.

"What has really happened to the man that was just sitting right here in front of me a few minutes ago? And what have done with him?"

"Just shut up dambass and just do your job!"

"I am serious! What have really done my best friend/boss?"

"Dan this is a place of work, please act professional!" He tired to sound as much stern as possible but it wasn't working as he laughed.

"And make sure to bring a date, we don't need the world knowing just how lonely Braxton Lexington really is!" He reminded him as he walked towards the door. Laughing like he has been told the most funniest joke that he has ever heard.

"PISS OFF!" He yelled after him.
