7 Chapter 7 - Putting Down an Arrogant Brat

The moment Ye Xen entered, all eyes were on him. His aura radiated power and confidence, establishing himself as the alpha of the group instantly. The ladies felt an intense heat between their legs and their cheeks flushed red. Even Shen Xiu was not spared. Their breathing turned labored and many of them were openly panting. It was like watching a demon beast in heat.

The men on the other hand, felt an intense urge to go down on their knees and bow in front of him. Their mind was constantly telling them to acknowledge him as their boss and to never ever anger him. Even the highborn ones like Shen Yue felt like they had just walked to their demise, even after living amongst people who were among Black-Gold rank.

Such was the power radiating off of him.

The reason for this ferocious atmosphere?

Quite simple: his cultivation. While the cultivation technique he handed out to the Snow Wind Family were indeed worthy of being called the best, his technique left all of them in the dust. "Good morning teacher Shen Xiu, I apologize for being late but there was an urgent matter that needed my attention at the Alchemy Association. I trust that wont be a problem?" Ye Xen inquired with a charming smile as he took of his glasses, revealing his dashing purple eyes to the room, causing the girls to stop themselves from masturbating out in the open. Only Ziyun and Ning'er were the ones who were immune, but a blush could be spotted on both of their faces.

"Yes!... I mean yes, student Ye Xen. However, you will have to stay after class for a while to catch up on what you have just missed out on," Shen Xiu stated, her blush on full display. Every girl in the class new why she wanted him to stay back and could only glare at her with annoyance.

Ye Xen just smiled and nodded before moving towards the class. His eyes landed on a person and everyone could see just how happy he was seeing them. That was of course his sister, Ye Ziyun. However, when he saw who was sitting beside her, his eyes narrowed a little.

The bastard from the Sacred Family was sitting beside her and making her uncomfortable.

He simply went there and stared at him in the eye and said, "Is this your seat? No, right? Then scram!"

Never had the students seen anyone move away so fast in life. He literally leaped out of his seat and went and sat in the last row away from Ye Xen. Everyone laughed at that.

Shen Xiu was annoyed but she couldn't do anything to Ye Xen. He was not only a genius but was also the son and heir of the City Lord.

She could only sigh and continue with the class.

While all this was happening, an orange-haired boy was looking at the scene with a scowl? Who the fuck was this jerk and how dare he sit with his Ziyun?! Looking towards Lu Piao, he questioned, "Hey Lu Piao, who the hell is that bastard?"

Lu Piao looked at Nie Lie as if he was the biggest idiot he had ever seen. He shook his head, thinking Nie Lie must not be feeling well, before replying, "Are you crazy? How do you not know him?! He is the City Lord's son and heir and the older twin brother of Goddess Ziyun. He is a genius who changed Glory City within 5 years and is hailed as the most likely person to become a Legend-Rank in the next two years or so. His cultivation technique is so monstrous that even though he is at Silver rank, he can easily take care of a 3-star Gold rank demon spiritualist. He is a true prodigy."

Nie Lie hearing this just furrowed his brows. Who the heck was this? He was sure that Ziyun was an only child. So, from where this fucker appeared from? However, Nie Lie would not hastily judge his character. He would wait and observe. If he proved valuable, he would make friends with him. If not, then he can perish with the Sacred Family. He would not let anyone come between Glory City, Ziyun and him.

However, once again the entire class became silent when they saw the most powerful and handsome man they had ever seen, look towards Nie Lie with a cold expression on his face, causing everyone to visibly flinch and take a step back.

Ye Xen looked at the brat in front of him and said, "So, you are doing all of this just to get a woman? Not for your family? Not for the good of Glory City? Not for your family who is declining very rapidly? How shallow are you?"

Everyone was taken aback by his words, even Nie Lie. But… now that they think about it, isn't that exactly what Nie Lie said? He never once talked about humanity or Glory City, he only insulted Shen Xiu and talked about marrying the most beautiful woman after becoming a Legend-rank Demon Spiritualist. What was he trying to achieve here?

Before, he could say anything, Ye Xen spoke once more, "Plus, the areas you mentioned. How do you even know about them? Your family does not have any Black-Gold rank demon spiritualists and you yourself are just an academy student. How do you know the names of these places? These places have not been mentioned in any book in any of the public library sanctioned by the City Lord.

Only the library of the Snow Wind Family mentions these details. So, how did you get your information on this topic? Because I can safely say that a person who has a soul force of 5 and no visible determination to better themselves and explore, would not have gotten this info that easily. And I know for a fact that you haven't broken into our family library. So, speak."

Everyone was looking at Nie Lie with suspicion right now. Something definitely wasn't right. How come a no-name brat from a declining noble family know about all this?

Even Nie Lie was seating. He did not think things would go this way but he had to get out of this situation somehow. So, he simply said, "I read about it in a book in the institute's library that contains details about the Woodland Empire and these places were mentioned. Now unless you have read all the books in the library, I believe I don't have to answer to you?" Nie Lie finished with a challenging smirk.

People could not believe the shameless of this brat. He was actually speaking to the heir of a major family with such arrogance as if he were his equal?! This did not sit right with them and they made their mind not to maintain relations with such a person. He could very well lead them to their doom. Even Lu Piao and Du Ze decided it was not a good idea to remain friends with such a person since it could cause trouble to their family.

"Hmm, you make a good point as I am not arrogant enough to say that I have read all the books in the library but I have read a considerable amount. So, if I do find that you lied, you can expect trouble from my side, since what you just said could very well lead to many people losing their lives unnecessarily because you decided to be funny in class.

These places could contain demon beasts who could beat a Legend-rank demon spiritualist to a pulp. Do you realize how many lives will be lost since people will naturally want to explore these places for treasure? Commoners will die first as they are always the first line of defense. Do you really want their blood on your hands so that you could simply try and catch the affections of a woman? How pathetic."

Everyone was now glaring at Nie Lie. He would have easily made them lose their lives if not thanks to Young Master Ye Xen. They would have walked to their doom and this bastard would have been here chasing women. How disgusting. Nie Lie could not do anything besides sitting down and keep his head down to avoid their gazes.

With only a few sentences, Ye Xen had showed how powerful and influential he was. The message was clear. 'If you do something that may harm my family or the people of Glory City, I will end you!'

Without even letting the bastard say a word, he turned towards Shen Xiu with a charming smile and said, "Teacher, I believe we should continue from where we left off before somebody tied to be the class clown?"

Shen Xiu just smiled and continued. This class was definitely going to be interesting with Ye Xen around.
