6 The reversal

"So I would have to be rude to you, Ye Qiu."

Poapasi observed Ye Qiu momentarily when he answered that he would be rude. His anger continue to increase as he looked at the tiny shameless being on his shoulder. On top of Ye Qiu's head he can see a floating bar displaying how much control Ye Qiu has of the system.

'99%. Its going to take me a long while to take back control of the system from this cigarette fueled little no help,' Poapasi mused. He felt like Ye Qiu is using the system to turn him into his avatar. That is not the kind of help that Poapasi would accept. Many readers have said that the novel "The King's Avatar" is great but who would want to be the avatar and lose control of their body.

Sometime ago Poapasi is farming for crystals. Right now he is simply feeling an inkling that started when his supposed power that was combined with his phone ignored his predicament during his instantaneous fun run.

The doubt he had earlier set off the following experiments with the crystals. If Ye Qiu who was supposed to help didn't abandon Poapasi then this experiment wouldn't have happened.

At first he tried biting into a crystal not even taking into account the where it was taken. The crystal upon getting intimate with his teeth, surprisingly melted and was absorbed. After absorbing the first crystal, Poapasi turned off his common sense for a few minutes. Several actions that would make people give a bad review , if this is a novel and the methods of experimentation were ever revealed, were done haphazardly. And after failing for fourteen consecutive times, Poapasi decided to stop the experiments and continue it on a later date.

Of the 15 crystals that was freed only one was absorbed through accident. The other 14 were absorbed while experimenting and the last one was supposed to be kept for later. But something happened which opened Poapasi's eyes. This seemingly the reckless actions earlier with the crystals can be said to let him gain experience and awareness on the ways to gain energy points.

The last piece of crystal was supposed to be given to Ye Qiu to see how he would absorb it. Its just that during the short walk to the fifth floor Poapasi remembered Ye Qiu imply that he would follow him and help. And then he didn't. That made him angry and he punched the wall. Part of the wall crumbled a little due to the force he applied which made his hand numb.

While in pain he let go of the crystal as he clutched his aching hand. The crystal bounced and it somehow increased his anger. So Poapsi kicked the crystal which hit the wall and bounced straight into his forehead. The result is a tiny control of the system for several minutes.

Energy enough for 3 minute use of the system…

Access to the system even for a little bit of time was what Poapasi needed to know what Ye Qiu knows. He browsed as if his life depended on it and managed to check in the system if what Ye Qiu told him was the truth or simply lies.

There is still twenty seconds left when he finished his initial check of the system. He then dashed through the remaining flight of stairs and used up half of the remaining time. The last ten seconds that he had was spent observing Ye Qiu. Maybe something would be revealed during that time. And the system didn't disapoint him.
