1 Chapter 1: Hard Boiled Beat Down

It was a pretty average day in Fukuoka, the spirits floated around and everyone was just going about their day. One person was walking around smiling and humming a song as he goes into a store, but as soon as he went in a bunch of men aimed guns at him. They were a bunch of rival yakuza members who wanted him dead. The teenager just smiles and took off his glasses while adjusting his hair and his kimono sleeves. He looked at them all with his striking pink fox eyes. He didn't move a muscle, yet was strangely calm in the face of what seemed to be his demise. Just then, all the guns began to freeze with shards of ice coming out of them, causing them to break apart, and then the teen rushed over to kick one of the yakuza members in the head, then he kept the momentum going by hitting another member with the tips of his fingers. All the yakuza weren't able to react fast enough as he beat them all down in just a couple of strikes to each member, which was about 20 in all, and put his glasses back on and ordered some snacks. However the store owner made him get the frozen gun shards off the ground before leaving out. He got on his custom motorcycle and rode off to a small building that seemed like a house you read in fantasy novels, and went inside to place the snacks in the cabinet. As he waited, he got a text message from his step parents asking if he was alright and got to his base safely, to which he replied that he did and that he was going to visit their house in about 30 minutes. He then got another text from someone named Suzaku that read "Hey Rengoku, we're going to meet up in 2 hours. And let's go someplace private since last time was a dumpster fire.". Rengoku replied that he would meet them after meeting with his step parents and bring snacks. He started doing some origami, which turned into shikigami dolls and went into his pocket. He even made Sigil Spell cards and put them on the shikigami paper. He went out to visit his step parents.

He rode to a large house that was essentially a log cabin for lumberjacks. He went inside, and hugged his step dad, who was a large bear dressed in lumberjack clothing and was pretty tall. "There's my little baddie. I love your visits, but do you have to smell like you just came from a pot house?" he joked. Ren just laughed and sat down. "Sorry pa, I was jogging earlier and went to the store. Friggin rival bastards jumped me. They never learn." he said as he got a long smoking pipe. It didn't have any drugs in it, but he liked to blow hot smoke out of it from time to time. His pa giggled a bit, then looked at a picture of Rengoku's dad Jigoku, also known as the former Hell Emperor. Rengoku hugged his pa, letting him know that his assassination was beyond his control. Jigoku was friends with many people, and his wife was a powerful exorcist who fell in love and gave her life force to have Rengoku. Jigoku was sad his wife was gone, but was overjoyed his son was alive and had her beauty and hair. Rengoku grew up loving his parents despite them being gone, because their love was always with him and he never let anyone disrespect their names. After a while Rengoku got ready to head to the meeting spot and bid his pa farewell for the day as he got on his motorcycle. But not before leaving a teru teru bozu doll hanging from the windchimes with a small smile on stitched onto it.

Rengoku met up with a small group who were waiting there for a few minutes. "Suzaku and Anji Taylor, Isobu Morris, Amber Loiseau, and Orchid and Ray Stocks. The gang's all here. My squad should be here soon." Ren said. After about five minutes, an alien made entirely of water and had a bunny mask on its face, a white haired witch girl, and a chubby boy with light blue hair and glasses came up to them. Isobu started talking. "Okay, we're here. So let's get started. For one...what are we getting Suzaku's dad for the Pride Parade? And Orchid's parents. It's coming up fast and we don't know anything that'll be good enough." he said. Everyone started thinking, trying to see if there was anything that would be grand enough. The alien though of an oceanic pride coral piece, but then remembered they'd have to keep it in water so they wouldn't be able to display it outside. The witch thought of a pendant, but then it would probably cause a lot of glare, or jealousy in others. But their thoughts were interrupted by a large bullet flying at them, which Isobu shattered with a kunai covered in lightning. The rival gang that Rengoku beat up came back with more people. Everyone sighed and walked slowly towards the rival gang, and started beating them down with impressive physical strength, minus Rengoku who was using phantom Oni arms while he struck with the tips of his fingers and used powerful kicks. At the end of the fight, they realized they burned the area, and it looked like a crown. So they all decided on a custom crown necklace and called it a day before they were caught for burning the area.
