Chapter 11 | War - Part 1

The day of the attack arrived, me and my suad… the Shadow Phantoms started to move. Likewise with other squad.

We went to Fermes City by Horse. The distance is quite far, we went in the morning by horse and got there in the afternoon.

Stopping a few hundred meters from Fermes Town, I ordered to let go of the Horses we were riding, don't worry because they know the way home.

Mark's part is done, and so are Scout and Jacob.

I walked amidst the pile of corpses, towards the building where the lord of this city was.

I opened the entrance gate to the castle. Saw 7 People in it. But when I entered I was greeted by that person.

"[Chain]"

Some magicians, using chain-link magic on me, isn't that big of a deal, but I'd like to see their next attack.

"[Fireball]"

"[Lightning Strike]"

Interesting attack, but it wasn't enough to cheer me up.

"[Magnificent Qi]"

The chains that bound me shattered from the burst of qi, I pulled out my sword and slashed at Fireball. I absorb the lightning that came after me.

"Absorb..... great. I thought manipulating the power of lightning that I read about in the Dojo library in Korea was just a fabricated story, I didn't think I could absorb lightning "

The whole castle was destroyed, the mission completed, and no one was alive except the ruler who was hiding under the table, I purposely missed it because I wanted to ask him a few things.

A stone ruin suddenly moved, and someone came out from the ruins, that person was none other than the Lord of Fermes City, Marques Badra.

"I-I'm safe!! I have to go evacuate! I have to—"

"Who said you could go?"

"P-Please, DON'T KILL ME!!"

That night there was a loud scream that could be made by humans.
