A New Life

There I was lying in the hospital bed, I can't seem to remember anything about myself apart from my name which I guess after being called Arthur so many times must be it. I opened my eyes my head spinning, the room all in blur everything in my body hurts. What happened to me?

"Arthur, Arthur are you okay?" a woman's voice asked.

"Where am I? Who am I?" I asked.

My eyes were still sensitive to the lights whenever I tried to open them the lights would blind me.

"Can you please dim the lights if possible?" I asked.

"Sure" the woman replied.

Nothing made sense who was I and where was I, I can't seem to remember anything at all it's almost as if my life has been erased. There I was wrapped around with bandages in my whole body, I can't even move a muscle.

"Seems like you are going to live after all, you should really thank God" the doctor said.

I opened my eyes they were in pain but it was a little better than when I getting blinded by the lights, beside me was a beautiful woman in her early 40s, dressed in her work suit and she was crying.

"What happened to me doctor?" I asked.

"Well witnesses say that you jumped out of a building and lucky for you, you landed in a dumpster" the doctor informs me.

"Huh?!" I said in agony.

"Oh my sweet baby, what the hell were you thinking jumping out of the building... Huh?" The woman hugging me and crying.

"I'm sorry" I said.

I have no idea what was happening, so I just went with the flow turns out that woman is my mother and my name is. Arthur Christ, a sixteen year old boy who happens to be rich... As my mom is one of the richest woman in earth.

"Can you tell us what happened, do you remember anything?" my mom asked.

"No, no but it feels like, like" I stuttered.

"Feels like what? Tell us A" my mom insisting.

"It's okay Mrs. Christ, he won't be able to remember for awhile after all he did suffer a major concussion... It's a miracle he's still alive" the doctor said.

"Oh my God! Will he be okay?" my mom started to cry.

"We'll have to keep him here for a few days, run some tests to make sure we didn't miss anything. But in all I think he's going to be fine" the doctor informed us.

Regarding everything that was happening I still couldn't remember anything, no matter how hard I tried to remember I just couldn't. My whole life gone and there's nothing I can do about it.

"Can I be excused? I wanna go to the bathroom" I said.

"Will you be able to walk on your own, sweetie?" my mom worried.

"Yes mom I will... Please don't worry" I told her.

They did assist me in getting out of my bed, I walked on my own to the bathroom. I closed the door behind me and washed my face, as I wiped it I took a look in the mirror and saw my reflection and jumped out of shock.

I seriously have no idea why I did what I just did, but when I looked at myself again I couldn't help myself so I started feeling my face. I don't know how to explain this but it felt like that was someone else's face, cause when I felt it... It felt weird.

I spent a few minutes in there not doing anything serious, I was just feeling my body I even stripped naked just to see myself. I gotta say I'm quite disappointed on how skinny I was, when I get out I need to hit the iron hard. But as for the rest of me I was kinda good looking... Okay let me say I had the potential of being more handsome.

I had blue eyes, my hair was black and silky I guess I took it from my mother and for my skin color I was mixed race African American, my height a little tall actually.

"Darling are you okay?" my mom knocked on the door.

"Ah! Yes mom I'm doing fine!" dressing up fast.

I finally came out.

"You were in there for quite a while, what were you doing? Were you testing if your machine still works?" my mom waiting by the door.

"Mom!" I was embarrassed.

"Fine I'm sorry, I'm sure you must be starving come on let's go get something to eat" my mom said.

"You have no idea" I said.

Then we left to go get some food for a moment I kinda forgot about everything, I was having a good time with my mom we were laughing, talking just having a nice bond between mother and son.
