Region Locks

I find region locked games/content really stupid. For example, Nintendo made all 3ds with region lock built in. If you had a European 3ds, you couldn't play a 3ds game together with an American one. Additionally, 3ds games were region locked, meaning you had buy specific versions of games to match your device's version.

There are also games on Steam that don't even show up if your Ip address isn't from the correct region. And if you use a Vpn to bypass that lock, you will get your account banned. (It doesn't matter if it's a free game or not)

These kinds of ridiculous bans can really motivate someone to just crack games since it's much easier than creating a separate account that may or may not get banned.

Streaming platforms like Netflix are also region locked. You will get completely different content in different regions.
