Nocebo

The placebo effect is that something works because the user believed it would. This could be in the form of a useless pill that somehow still helped a patient recover.

The opposite of that is the nocebo effect. Failing because you believed you/it would fail. Don't fall for it. Negative thoughts will have negativ effects on the outcome.
