Present and the Future

"My name is Xian!"

"Remember that you demonic bastards!"

Shouted by a woman in her 30s, her height was near two meters, she was holding a silver bladed sword in her right hand and her left hand was holding the hair of a bodyless head of an elf. Her hair was tied up into a high ponytail that reaches until his waist with a face that has a sharp eyes making her looks intimidating.

She was clothed with black and tight long sleeves that display her athletic build that was being covered by a black cloak that reaches until her knees. She has black and loose long pants that contradict her tight long sleeves, she has brown boots that's different from her black clothes.

The one she was talking to is the humanoid creatures that surrounds her. The humanoid creatures have different skin colors that was different from that of a human, they also have pair of horns and wings and some of them are flying in the air.

"Demons and elves, from now on, you will be hunted by me!" Xian declared while pointing her silver bladed sword at that one creature thay was different from the demons. 'His' skin color is that of a human but 'he' have pointy ears and a handsome face.

"Xian, your existence is threat that needs to be vanished from this world." Said by that elf with a green lantern in 'his' hand.

"And so you all." Replied by Xian as her shadow behind her rouse up and instantly stood just behind Xian, it's silhouette was similar to Xian but the shadow was holding no thing with no silhouette of the clothes too.

The shadow nodded as 'she' instantly vanish leaving Xian alone without shadow. One by one, the demons around Xian was killed by an unknown assailant. Xian on the other, begun to walk towards the elf with green lantern.

She threw the head she was holding besides as she gripped her sword with two hands in her front.

The elf sense a horrifying killing intent from Xian and he hurriedly raised his lantern infront of him. In the next seconds, the lantern shone as the ground besides Xian crumbled and green thick vines sprouted in there.

The thick vines sway chaotically, some of the vines successfully hits the person in their center but the thick vines was cutted and slices just before making contact with Xian.

The elf flinched and sweats flowed down from his forehead upon seeing that his attack was not working with Xian. Then after a while of thinking, the elf raised his lantern again as it shone and the ground beneath him crumbled and leafless tree begun to sprouts there.

The leafless tree shines in gold as it engulfed the area surrounding it by flames that even those thick vines was just like a normal plant for it. By now, the demons are either fleing because of the unknown assailant killing their comrades or was being killed one by one by that assailant.

They were unlucky to be engulfed in the waves of flame too and after a while, the surroundings became a burning field like a flame in it's torch.

But Xian stood at the center without a slight of wound or even scratch. She was being surrounded by the burning flames but she was being protected by a wall of blueish translucent barrier, it was flowing swirly like a water.

"That's all?" Xian mocked as he pointed her sword in the air above her, then with a swing, the silver sword cutted through the air infront of her and translucent silver colored wave of blade shot forward to the elf standing in one of the twigs of the shining tree.

With no agility to dodge and not even the slightest time to think, the handsome elf was tremblingly engulfed by the silver wave.

Boom!

In instance, the area were the shining tree and the elf was standing bacame messed up as the shining tree was cutted in half and the elf... The elf's body was gone in half and messy, the only thing that he was having is his upper body and a head, with one arm unable to raise and a mouth not being able to plead for mercy, he was weakly laying in the ground.

Xian looked at the near corpse elf in the cutted tree, not even the slightest pity can be seen in her face. She said:

"Remember this even in the hell,"

"Don't mess up with me ever again."

10 years in the past—

Ting! Clang! Ting!

Two women was drawing swords to each other. The taller woman is standing nearly two meters tall, she was wearing a simple clothes of white t-shirt and a black trousers. Her hair was not tied up cascading until her waist and her face has a sharp eyes looking intimidating.

With a silver sword in hand, she was changing slash with the girl smaller than her, she said. "Keep up the speed Xian and blow more strength!"

The girl named Xian was shorter compared to the previous woman. Her hair was tied up into a high ponytail that reaches until her neck, she also have a sharp eyes like the previous woman giving a cool look.

She wore too a simple clothes of white t-shirt and leggings with simple brown boots. Her two hand was holding a silver sword that was slashing and giving blows to the woman. She said. "Im trying my best Mother!"

The woman gave a heavy slash infront giving open area for her to attack and with a heavy kick to Xian's abdomen, Xian fell to the ground holding her stomach in pain.

"Call me Master Xen!" She said to her daughter and after a seconds, she offered a hand to help Xian got up.

'You don't have to kick me that hard for that!' Xian complained in her mind as she accepted the help and finnaly stood up still holding her stomach because of pain.

"Yes, yes, master Xen." Xian said with as she rolled her eyes.

Xen patted her daughter's head as she said. "Let's continue later, wait for me in the study as I will teach you the 2nd path."

Xian's eyes glimmered as Xen said that, she was eager to learn more about that topic. She hurriedly nod and ran towards the house and entered it.

Xen glance at her house which is deep in the woods, far away from society. The house has brown colored bricks for the first floor and red in the upper floor, the roof was also painted in red similar to the chimney on the left section of the two story house.

She patted her clothes as dust leaves it, she left the training field which has three wounded hay dummies and went to the other side. On there placed a small farm with tomatoes, spinach, potatoes and many more vegetables that was yet to bloom a fruit.

Xen sat down as she observed those plants and she said. "It will take some days to have veggies, I'll considered hunting some food in the forest again."

After a while, she stood up from sitting as she went to the door leading inside of the house. However, an arrow flew in the air and was flying towards Xen.

Xen on the other caught the flying arrow with ease as she glared at the assailant walking like nothing happened to her.

The assailant is a woman with pointy ears and blonde tied up hair. She wore a white t-shirt with green vest, her arms was clad with brown cloth pairing with her brown trousers and black boots.

With a bow at her back, smile appeared in her face as she walked towards Xen. She teased. "I was just passing by before finding a beautiful prey here."

Xen, however didn't look happy at all as she said in a cold tone. "Come up with a better greetings next time, Rei."

Rei's smile was still there as she walked and hugged Xen. The latter on the other hand pushed her and opened the door and went inside.

The interior of the house consist of not so many furnitures, the only furniture there are those of necessary making the inside a bit boring but it was clean.

Rei followed Xen with smile on her face still not fading away. She asked. "Don't you question me where I came from?"

With a sigh, Xen answered. "Where?"

Rei then answered with a smile on her face. "Secret!"

Then she laughed, the voice was heard until the study room which Xian was sitting in. The latter stood up immediately and went to the hallway consisting of a few doors that lead to the outside, the bathroom, the living room, study room, and the stairs going up.

Xian saw her mother and Rei that was still laughing. Rei glance at Xian and suddenly stop, she dashed to her like a madman and hugged her.

"My beautiful Niece!" Rei said as Xian was pushing the energetic blondie that was hugging her.

"What you here for Auntie?" Questioned Xian as she finnaly freed.

"It's a secret." Rei simply answered and shrugged.

"Anyways im not gonna stay here for too long." Rei said before sighing. "I have some business with my family."

"That's bad, I'm hoping to learn more about bows." Xian said, disappointed that her aunt is not gonna have time for teachings.

"Your mother is still here, you know," Rei said as she pointed at Xen which is heading to th study room. "I'm going now, better be early than late."

"Yeah, bye." Xian said, by now Rei is closing the door and walked away. Xian then went to the study room where her mother was.

"Mother, Auntie's gone home." She said to her mother.

"Yeah." Xie simply answered.

"Anyways, let's start so listen carefully as I tell you the 2nd path of transendance." She said and explained the 2nd path of transendance.

She explained that the 2nd way of transendance is the "Reason". To attain the power to exceed the already limitless and to break through the barrier that separate the normal to abnormal, one need to attain the "Reason".

Xen also explained that there are many ways to achieve the "Reason" and the most common of them is the will to become strong, to become the leader, and to become the pinnacle of powers.

Once a trancendant gave their life to that 'reason', they will feel the power surging inside of them either slowly or quickly like a tiding wave and either cautiously or harshly like a prey hunting it's prey in the wild.

"I don't even have a 'reason' yet, that's how hard it is to have one." Xen finished and added. "And also, you need to find a new reason upon achieving and completing one, unless you're power will not raise anymore and worst is that you will be corrupted."

"Is that why the most common of all is to become strong than anybody else?" Xian questioned.

"That's one of the reasons." Xen shrugged and said to her daughter seriously. "You just attain the 1st path which is to break the limit, master and get used to it for now as finding and achieving a 'reason' is not that easy, you need your life to achieve it."

"Understood mother." Xian answered as she nodded.

"I'll go hunt some food, you stay here and train that mind of yours." Xen said with a mocking tone at the end.

"Im not that dumb mother!" Xian angrily said.

Xen didn't say anything more as she patted the child's head and went outside. She picked up a wide bow that was hanging in the walls of the hallway before leaving to hunt.

'Better train my body.' Xian thought completely forgot about what her mother said.

Then, she went to the living room.
