17 Poor, Innocent, Boss Lian!

The assistant principal's voice shut off and the group scanned the tags in their hands with their badges to finalize their gain of points. Once a tag was scanned, the blue surface dimmed and red words appeared on the screen 'This tag has been used. Return it to the Section 1 Office before two days.'

Because the amount of tags leftover couldn't be split evenly between the group, some of them were only able to get a single high point tag. But since Cheng Tu was their Boss Lian's friend, he was able to get two tags, now having 42 points.

Yang Teng, who was looking through his army bag, commanded to his group, "I left my Swiss knife inside the tent. Head back."

Xi Lian trailed behind them with Little Rabbit and said, "I'll come with you guys!"

Yang Teng's tone immediately softened. "It's alright, Lian Lian you must be tired. Why don't you go back to your dorm and rest?"

Although she noticed he still called her by her childhood name, she decided not to correct him at this time. When she looked at the tent far away, the clothe roof was already fixed back into place, a quick maneuver on the part of the men in black.

She smiled and responded, "It's okay, I'm not tired."

Not noticing the glint in her eye, Yang Teng nodded and continued walking. Of course, the other twenty eight boys also obediently followed.

Upon reaching the entrance of the tent, Xi Lian slipped into the front of the group and held both her hands out as a signal for them to stop moving. She held a finger to her lips and shushed them before giggling.

With her right eyebrow higher than her left and a cunning smile, she asked playfully, "Well boys, ready for more fun?"

In response, all of them looked at her inquisitively.

Xi Lian was exasperated, "Come on now! Give me more reaction!"

The boys looked at each other before looking back at her, not knowing what to say.

She rolled her eyes and pointed towards the tent, "Everyone's still fighting!"

Cheng Tu's eyes widened as if he had a moment of inspiration.

Xi Lian smiled, "See? Little Rabbit understands me!"

The scrawny Cheng Tu offered an explanation to Yang Teng and his men, stuttering, "R--Ri---Right...W--We should wait until th--they're done fighting!"

Until a moment of silence, Ting Ze laughed nervously, "Aha...That's probably not right..."

Following his eyesight, the atmosphere around Xi Lian had turned dark and gloomy. Her smile turned more and more uneven as time passed by.

Yang Teng finally spoke, "The people inside shouldn't have scanned their tags yet. What Lian Lian means, is probably... we should take this opportunity to steal more tags, right?"

Everyone's eyes lit up at the chance for more points.

The rain clouds around Xi Lian immediately disappeared, and her bright smile reappeared, "That's right!"

The short boy asked, "Boss Lian, if we use the same method as before, it might not work. Everyone will be on guard, what should we do?"

She laughed wickedly. "Who said we'll be doing the same thing? Today, you'll learn the real bandit's method!"

"Wh--What do you mean?" Cheng Tu stuttered.

"Comparing our large numbers and the injured inside, who do you think can just ask nicely for some tags?"

By now, all of them were smirking happily.

ONE MINUTE LATER

Lining up on both sides of the entrance of the tent, the thirty one of them stood grimly. The aura around them was grim and dangerous which made few people want to approach them or leave the tent. Especially since most were injured, they wouldn't dare to fight. Besides the high-ranked students that they let pass, the rest were more unfortunate...

A pair of twins, blue-ranked juniors, in ripped jeans and bagged shirts were the first to try leaving the tent. However, the entrance was blocked by the gang looking group and a young woman in the front smiled widely at them. Without saying anything, she held her palm out in a grasping notion.

The smaller of the two was the first to speak, "Little sister, could my brother and I please leave?" He had a fawning smile as he looked back at the fights nervously, trying to get out of the tent, away from this madness as fast as possible."

With the same smile, Xi Lian replied cordially, "Of course you can leave! But I think you're forgetting a tiny something..."

The other twin frowned, "We don't have any enmity between us. Why don't you just let us pass to save yourself from getting more enemies?"

Not disheartened at all, she exclaimed, "This is can just be a friendly exchange! Half of your tags for freedom, how about it? After all...you don't have much choice now, do you?"

In sync, Yang Teng and his men, as well as Cheng Tu stepped forward at the same time to emphasize the power in numbers. Instantly, the pair of twins cowered back.

The smaller twin held back his brother and hurriedly said, "Yes, yes, yes. We'll give you half of our tags! We only have six, we'll give you three!"

He took out three tags, handing them to Xi Lian with both hands as a sign of respect. Yet, flicking the tags over, many gazes of displeasure were seen. All three tags were worth only a single point.

Yang Teng ordered two of his men, "Pat them down."

Right when the two lackeys were ready to search the twins' bodies, the other twin glared.

"Wait. No need to pat us down."

This halted their movements. Getting the nod from their Boss Teng, the lackeys moved back to where they originally were. The smaller twin laughed nervously before handing another ten tags to Xi Lian.

Nervously, he asked, "Sorry, sorry about that, hehe. We forgot we had more tags. Could we please leave now?"

Expecting agreement from the young woman in front, though, the twins were severely mistaken.

Xi Lian snorted coldly, "Of course not! How dare you try to fool this poor, innocent girl? Beat them up!"

Both the small and big twin were dumbfounded and almost spit out blood.

'Poor, innocent girl? Who are you trying to fool!'

However, they could do nothing to help their situations when all of the lackeys beat them up. All thirty one in the newly formed group were just too into their roles as gangsters and bandits! It was just too fun! While not breaking any bones of ribs, the bruises would surely hurt. The pain caused by the wounds in their hearts would also need to take a long time to recover!

For the rest of their time there, all the other students who they didn't deem dangerous enough to avoid would either hand half of their tags willingly when they saw others get beat up, or get beat up and have all their tags stolen.

Worst of all...everyone had to hear this same phrase, "I'm just a poor, innocent girl!"
