"In the absence of ... of ..." It was now Zhang Wei's turn and he kept wiping the sweat off the forehead. His eyebrows furrowed and he looked down trying to remember page fourteen. What should he do? In the absence of what? What is it? He couldn't remember anything! Especially when he looked into the girl's eyes, she was still so calm. He couldn't help but panic. Oh, screw it! I'm done with this!

He smashed his fist onto the table, creating another hole! His eyes were red and the sweat dripping down from his hair to the floor made him seem even more ferocious. "Fine, you can have my points! It's just three points anyways, how desperate are you?" As Zhang Wei's friend, the referee hurriedly helped him transfer the three points to Xi Lian, scanning his badge over both of their badges for the second time to verify he had done his duty.

Bao Bao ran the few steps to Xi Lian and jumped up to her, hugging her waists, "Lian! You were so amazing! You actually won a duel on your first day!" Xi Lian who was checking the transaction on her badge hurriedly flipped the screen side onto her shirt's side so that observers wouldn't see the screen.

She laughed joyfully, "It looks like I really did win, and it was so fun!"

Zhang Wei and his group of friends, or most likely followers that obeyed him from what she heard earlier, calling him 'Boss Zhang' were getting ready to leave until they heard her say that the duel was fun. Zhang Wei paused in his steps, turned around, and laughed bitterly at her, "Fun? So this was just a game to you, it wouldn't have mattered if you lost three points?"

Xi Lian stared into his eyes, pupils curved into crescents just as her lips were, and responded "Of course, I was confident I would win. My memory has been undefeated up to now, so what makes you think you could have beaten me? I actually had zero points until I met you, so thank you."

All the students that had witnessed this duel were startled. Zero points? Was this girl crazy? If she had lost and gotten negative points then the consequences -- !

Zhang Wei continued laughing loudly as if he turned into a madman, "Zero...zero points! You're crazy! What's your name? I heard you little friend over there called you Lian."

The sharp eagle-like gaze in Xi Lian's eyes disappeared and she gently smiled. Her original image as a weak, dainty girl came back even though the group of boys clearly knew it wasn't her true image.

A pleasant, melodic voice rung out, "Xi Lian, my name is Xi Lian."

Shaking his head, he said, "Remember my name, Zhang Wei. And I will remember yours, Xi Lian."

Xi Lian inwardly thought, 'Ah...I'm bad with names though...I probably won't remember you but I won't tell you that right now...'

And so, she responded, "I will."

Seeing the four blue rank sophomores leave on the elevator, Xi Lian and Bao Bao walked back to their corner table.

Xi Lian exclaimed, "I came back for you, delicious sushi!"

"Lian, you really surprised me back there. This school has so many geniuses."

"Well shouldn't you be a genius yourself? You're at this school and so young."

"Yep! Actually, I'm not really that great in many things. Most geniuses here are accepted because they're well-rounded in different talents. Instead, I was accepted because I'm good in chemicals at my age."

"Don't underestimate yourself Bao Bao, it's already amazing you're so great at this age! How old are you anyways?"

Bao Bao bragged, showing her pearly teeth, "I'm ten! Turning eleven in a few months!"

Xi Lian whispered, "Well then Bao Bao, can you keep secrets?"

Bao Bao whispered back with excitement, "Of course I can! Are you going to tell me a secret now? Just like how I told you a secret before?"

"That's right." Xi Lian brought the tag on her necklace in her hands so that only the two of them could see it. "When I defeated that Zhang Wei in the duel, this happened. I didn't show you at the time because I didn't want anyone else to see."

Bao Bao peeked, and her eyes became huge.

Ding! Congratulations, you have found hidden points! For being the first student to defeat a higher rank student than you are in a duel this year, you have found 5 points!

Ding! Congratulations, you have found hidden points! For being the first student to find hidden points three times, you have found 10 points!

"Waaah! You're so lucky, Xi Lian! Doesn't this mean you have twenty-four points?", Bao Bao rotated the screen of the tag and checked to see her amount of points. The big numbers 24 really popped up!

Xi Lian's eyes glittered. "At this rate, it won't be too long before I reach blue rank."

Bao Bao shook her head, "That might not necessarily be true. You were only lucky and found this much hidden points. However, after this it'll be hard to get more points this fast."

Xi Lian winked, "Luck is also a strength! We start classes tomorrow, but I'll use any free time to explore this place and try to find more hidden points. If it doesn't work, then we can just complete missions and get top scores on the grade board. Anyways, what are you looking for Bao Bao? Why do you keep looking around?"

"That scrawny boy we saw before, could he have left?"

"I don't see him either, he probably left. It doesn't matter anyways."

"Alright then! Lian, you probably haven't set up your dorm yet right? Let's go back and we'll meet up tomorrow morning to see if we share any classes."

Xi Lian smiled, "Alright then, be sure to eat dinner later. I'm going to walk around a bit before heading back since it's still really early, I'll say good night in advance."

"Good night Lian!"
