Long live the King!

Ramul and Umbra finally understood the powers of the god giving them an edge on how to keep the god preoccupied while Enzo took Exodus out of the field. It wasn't easy doing so, for they were trying to avoid the flames of creation as well as cause damage to the deity.

"You'll be fine," Enzo reassured his brother as he tied a cloth around his shoulder to prevent blood loss as the King was not healing. "You've survived so much over the years brother, this is nothing."

"I can feel it brother," Exodus sighed. "My immortality is gone."

"Don't say that, " Enzo countered. "We just have to wait until Reya is back and then we'll have that drink in your castle."

The two vampires stared at each other with tears welling up in their eyes. It was almost impossible for them to say goodbye to each other after living together for thousands of years.

"Enough!" the god screamed lifing Umbra by her feet and smashing her into the ground.

"Let her go!" Ramul screamed blitzing the god with punches even I could not see. That seemed to work for the god flung the girl to Ramul who caught her midair, however he was too focused on saving his sister that he had not seen the god appear before him with a spear jamming into his chest.

"You want to be a hero so bad?" asked the deity floating midair with Ramul who had a spear in his chest and his sister in his arms. "Then save yourself from this..."

He did not get enough time to complete his words for Umbra stabbed him in the eye with a god blade which had the ability to leave permanent wounds in gods with ease.

"Aaarggghhh!" he screamed in pain releasing the vampire . "My eye!"

Ramul hit the ground with Umbra on his chest.

"Hey," Umbra said removing the spear from her brother. "You'll soon be okay."

The god wailed in pain at his eye which bled lava melting the rocks below him.

"Those two cannot hold out much longer brother, they need your help." Exodus reasoned with Enzo.

"They will be fine..."

"Enzo, they won't," Exodus noted. "Leave me be brother. Go fight with them and I'll stay right here away from the field."

Enzo nodded in agreement before pulling his brother into an embrace as the King wrapped his remaining arm around the vampire.

"Now go!" the King ordered.

"I'll be back," Enzo answered joining his siblings in the fight as the King laid onto a rock with his breathing getting weaker by the second.

"No matter what you do, avoid his remaining eye," Enzo snapped narrowly escaping the gods flame of creation which could turn objects into dust.

"Easier said than done," grunted Umbra. "By the gods Reya sure is taking her sweet time out there!"

Ramul circled around his opponent stabbing its knee with a Scythian sword, "She'll be here."

"Look out!" Enzo screamed before jumping out of the gods fire path to which his siblings did the same.

"Where's the other one?" the deity searched through the field levitating towards Exodus.

"He's going for Exodus," Umbra screamed.

"Over my dead body!" Enzo let out blurring to his brother, carrying the almost dead King out of the field.

"That could be arranged," retorted the god who sped through the air in pursuit of the two vampires, using his flames of creation to destroy everything within his path.

"What do we do?" Umbra cried out. "We can't defeat this thing!"

"We..." Ramul started but soon gave up. His sister was right, the god was immortal, even with all their primordial powers they were no match for the elder god. This was a one sided battle which they would lose if they weren't careful.

'Can anyone hear me?' Reyas thoughts hit Umbra telepathically.

'Reya!?' Umbra exclaimed back with the same thought link jumping to her feet.

'Where are you guys?'

'Still in the field but you should sense Enzo and head for him, we'll meet you there,' Umbra answered before cutting the link with Reya.

"Let's go meet Enzo."

"Why?" Ramul asked defeated.

"Because Reya found it!" she replied with a victorious smile spread out over her face.

The vampire was at his limits for he had been running around the field carrying his brother in his arms with the elder god hot on his heels with the flames of creation.

"Brother leave me be..."

"If you say leave me be one more time I will punch you in the face, you hear me?" Enzo grunted dodging a lightning bolt from the fight which Callipso was still having with Zenok in the sky. "We'll get through this, don't you worry."

'Where are you?' Reyas thoughts hit Enzo's as he looks for any landmark around the field.

He finds a mountain which still stood tall into the sky and headed for it, 'Meet us at the mountain top with a red tip.'

'I see it, give me a few minutes,' she sent to him before cutting the link between them.

"Reya is almost here brother," Enzo said delightedly. "She's almost..."

He dropped onto the ground in pain tossing the King away from him violently. He had been grazed by the gods flames which burnt through his back leaving a gaping scar there.

"Brother," Exodus breathed out. "Run."

Enzo started to crawl towards his brother, "I'd rather die fighting by your side than leave without you."

"Now that's a scene I never thought I'd see," the god floated in the sky revelling in his victory. "You gave me trouble I'd admit, but at the end you were nothing but dust and wind which would soon seize to exist."

Exodus' eyes started to darken with his body taking on a vampiric nature. He stood to his feet biting against his lips as he fought through an internal pain. Enzo looked at the King with shock written on his face but it was soon replaced with fear when he realized what his brother was trying to do.

"Exodus don't do it," Enzo replied but his brother nodded with a smile.

"I'm sorry."

The god blasted his flames to Enzo who laid on the ground unable to move as the King cried out before blitzing to his brother tossing him out of the way and taking his place. His powers stopped working causing him to fall to his knees in exhaustion.

"Tell Reya I love her and I..." those were his last words before the flames burnt through the Primordial erasing him from existence. The first King of Czarö and the firstborn of the Angus vampires was no more leaving the four siblings to be without a brother.

"Nooooooo!" Reya screamed as she got to the field dropping onto her knees in defeat. She had arrived a bit late to save her brother but early enough to witness his death.

"Exodus!" Enzo bawled out bleeding on the ground.

Ramul and Umbra finally got to the field to see their brother turning into dust. There was nothing they could do but fall onto the ground weakened beyond measures.

"I'm done playing these games," Drake growled. "Time to join your brother."

His eyes started to glow at Reya with intentions of using the flames on her but before he could release the flames she blitzed out of harms way stabbing him in the chest with an enchanted sword.

"You think that can stop me?" he chuckled as he tried releasing the flames again to no avail. "What did you do to me?"

She stepped back from the god, his body starting to glow a deep red with his flames, "I trapped the flames of creation inside of you. Incase you tried using it on me it would bounce around inside your body tearing you from the inside out."

He started to bloat with the flames burning through the god who screamed in pain before exploding into a million fragments.

The elder god Drake had been killed but it was not without a great price. Reya walked to her brother helping him up to his feet.

"Exodus is gone," he cried falling into Reyas embrace as Umbra and Ramul joined in the family hug.

"I know," she sighed letting the tears flow from her eyes freely. She had been holding it back to prevent showing weakness to the god but now that he was gone there was no need to hold it back anymore. Her brother was gone, it was time to mourn for the King of Czarö and the firstborn of the Angus vampire.
