Aurora gets a new power

The once heavily lit field reverted back to its normal color, the fights between the other contenders still going on like nothing had happened. The only difference was my mother's aura which had gone from a deep orange to a deep red. She looked even more dangerous when compared to her opponent.

"Impossible!" Kamalu hissed out in surprise. From her expression she wasn't expecting anyone to do what was being done.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me goddess!" the new god grunts after absorbing the attack. "The first is that I am Aurora, daughter of Uranus and goddess of the seasons..."

The ground started to spill out magma, the new goddess floating into the air with her body aura glowing brighter than ever blinding everyone in the field, Kamalu included.

"...the second is that I never give up without a fight," she grunts blasting a hole through the elder god with an energy attack.

"And the third..." she continues, floating to the bleeding god with her aura getting brighter than before. "...the third is that I don't follow rules like the other gods. I am a rebel and it makes me hard to predict just like my powers. I might have been able to control the seasons on the surface but underneath I have the power to absorb any attack thrown at me from any angle. Don't you dare underestimate us new gods."

Kamalu stretches her withering hands to touch her opponents face, but she doesn't get the chance before being smacked into the ground with a back hand.

"I'll see you in another five thousand years," Aurora smiles sympathetically before releasing a surge so powerful the ground on which the elder laid on vaporizes into nothingness leaving a gaping magma filled hole beneath. Kamalu was gone, another win for the new gods who I found to be more impressive than their main counterparts.

Her body still glowed a deep red, the power of Kamalu even now flowed within her.

"Aurora?" White stag heaved in pain, it's breath getting weaker by the minute.

"I'm here," she replied floating to meet the wounded creature, Zemeta, Senile and Camilla limping to meet them.

"I didn't know you could do that," the war god squeaks in amazement.

"I knew I could absorb attacks, but I doubted I could take in that much," her aura changing to orange before disappearing.

"So..." Zemeta starts. "Does that mean you still have her powers in you?"

Aurora looks to the purple sky, "I guess you could say that it's a temporary power I borrowed for now. I can feel it waning away."

"How long before it dissipates?" the Scythian heaves, her open shoulders still bleeding from the spots where her arms were supposed to be.

"Shouldn't you have that checked?"

"Just answer me Aurora."

"Give or take a few days," her knuckles crack as she kneels to heal the Stag.

"That gives us enough time to use that power to our advantage and take down more elders," the speedster notes.

"You're right," my mother answers her hands glowing red while she heals the creature. "Who do you reckon I go up against?"

The trio look into the field before nodding in agreement on who her next opponent was going to be.

"You'll be going up against Dromedipectus next," Senile coughs.

"That's a tough one, but I accept."

When she was done healing the creature who had already fallen asleep, she stands to her feet looking at the three warriors before her.

"I really wish I had the power to reverse whatever damage you have, but I can sense the power of the sword of Archeron on you three. The damage is..."

"Irreversible, we know," Camilla broke in with a sad smile. "Can you portal us out of here? The portal Mephistopheles created earlier was closed up during Mindras energy surge."

"I can't, I'm sorry. But since I'm teaming up with him, I'll get him to open one for you."

"That'll be a huge help," Senile sighs, falling to the ground in exhaustion.

"I'll create a barrier over White stag and you three to avoid accidents."

Her body begins to glow red again as a dome forms around the warriors who sit on the ground resting from their previous battle. She jumps into the air with the power sizzling around her as she headed towards the dark god who was having a hard time with the elder goddess of darkness.
