8 Trust me

"Wait!" Amelia called as she followed Vincent closely.

"What do you want?" he didn't bother sparing her a look.

"I wanted to apologise for my behaviour earlier, that was unlike me" she had a pleading look.

"what is more like you?" Vincent turned facing her.

"I am a humble princess who wants to know you better" she kept batting her lashes.

Prince Vincent had to use all his willpower to stop himself from exposing her pretense right then and there. "Oh really, and what do you aim to accomplish once you've done that?" he cocked a brow.

"Well I aim to please" she swayed her hips, stepping closer as she forced the prince against the wall, "and I know how to get what I want" she looked up meeting his uncomfortable stare.

"Your Highness? *cough*" Prince Vincent couldn't be more than happy to be saved from his embarrassing situation by Commander Blair. Immediately, Princess Amelia straighten her dress as she reverted to her timid mood.

"Commander Blair!, I've heard so much about you, it's a honor to meet you in person" she curtseyed politely.

"Am i supposed to know you?" Blair looked at the princess with folded arms.

Princess Amelia sweatdropped, she inhaled holding in her anger, "Oh that's right, you won't have, you spoke with my father while you were in Tycan, you must surely remember what you were sent to discuss with him in our kingdom" she couldn't help but smirk as Commander Blair's hands balled in a fist.

"So you're princess Amelia?, I apologise but I need to speak with the prince" Blair said through gritted teeth, arms still folded.

"we'll talk some other time then" she winked at Vincent before leaving.

"I hope not" Vincent muttered, "thanks for your help, what did you want to say Blair?" he turned grateful for Blair's interruption, who knew what Amelia could have done.

Commander Blair examined their surroundings before grabbing hold of his hands, pulling him in the direction of his Chambers. Opening the door to his Chambers and swiftly locking the door.

"Hey!, what do you think you're doing?" Vincent was now fully aware of where he was. "No one is meant to be here unless I say so, and I clearly didn't consent to you barging in on my privacy!!".

"shh" the Commander silenced him still examining his room, Vincent stood there astounded, "some nerve you have, for a knight".

"I'm sorry for my behavior lately, if I'm correct, you're in possession of an egg, to be specific a dragon's egg" Blair held Vincent's gaze which seemed to widened more before it was obscured as he lowered his face hiding his initial reaction.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Vincent averted his gaze elsewhere, he tried to sound as convincing as possible. How did Blair know about the egg?.

"Please I need to be sure it's safe with you, you can trust me" Blair said, "I'm not the enemy but a friend".

The memories of his dream did a brief replay causing a painful headache. He staggered to his chair sitting down, trying to breathe as dizziness set in, "you.. you were the person in my dreams" he held his head trying to steady his breath, "what do you need the egg for?, how am I so sure you aren't a spy?" Vincent tried standing, using the armrest as support, pointing an accusing finger at Blair, but his vision blurred as dark spots begin to close in on his vision.
