Joining the battle.

I know it probably wasn't the smartest decision. But i couldn't look the other way. Not anymore. They might be pompous assholes sometimes, But Julian, Herman, and match are my friends and no one Avenger or not hurts one of my friends. I leapt from my classroom, right through the window, outside. As I hurtled towards Rogue and Frenzy, I could see the shock on Falcon's face.

I aimed for the ground right in front of the Avengers and slammed my fists into it, cratering the ground and blowing the Avengers back.

" Damn it." Falcon cursed. " Redwing! Activate emergency protocols." Falcon ordered his little sidekick to most likely alert the others.

I didn't care, I made a stride towards my target.

" You're supposed to be a Hulk, right? I hope for your sake you hit like one." I told She-Hulk. I ran towards the woman as she got to her feet and swung at her. I have to give the woman credit, even in a daze she managed to dodge my first strike.

" Damn it, Kid. We didn't come here to fight." She-hulk told me. Which is funny that she said that while punching me in the face.

I have to assume that was a warning shot. A blow to test just how much I could take. A sentiment I won't return.

" Then you shouldn't have started it." I told the woman. I used my upper arms to grab hold of hers and then drilled her in the stomach with both of my lower arms. I let go of her arms and She-hulk toppled over. I then brought both of my upper arms down onto the woman's back and slammed her into the floor. I looked over briefly to see that Frenzy was handling Moon Knight and Rogue was doing just fine against Falcon. It was only for a brief moment that I was distracted. But it was enough for me to be caught off-guard by an energy beam that hit me right in the back of my head.

I rolled across the ground hard. I rolled and used one of my hands to dig into the ground, stopping my momentum. I looked up to see where the blast had come from. And down from the sky came the Avengers personal rich boy. Iron man.

" I told Falcon to only call me in case of an emergency... So, I'm going to assume being nice has failed and just end this fast." Iron Man stated.

" Messing with kids, Stark?" Rogue asked the man. She jumped in the air and tried grabbing Stark only to be blasted right tin her face and knocked back down to the floor.

" Thinking back to our first fight, rogue? As I recall, you ran away. If you're smart, you'll do it again." Stark told the woman.

" That was a long time ago, Sugah." Rogue told the man.

" Not long enough." Stark replied.

I didn't realize it, but at some point, during the fight the other teachers came running outside and joined the fight. Seeing the two sides beginning to regroup, I joined my teachers at their side.

" Like to fight, hommie? Well, looks like you're playing with the big boys now." Gambit told me with a smirk on his face.

I'm not much of a showboat, or at least I think I'm not. But I have to admit, I liked the sound of that.

" All right, X-Men. These Avengers invaded our house. Treated us like criminals. Hurt our students. Let's show'em that was a real bad idea." Rogue shouted.

Mimic, Husk, Gambit, Rogue, Cannonball, and I all rushed the Avengers, while Chamber got Julian and the others back to the school.

" You want to play games Knight? Well, now we play a new game. And It's Gambit's deal." Gambit charged up his cards and launched them at Moon knight.

I of course, resumed my power match with She-Hulk.

" It didn't need to be this way kid." She hulk told me. She and I had locked arms and were currently trying to overpower the other.

" I thought you were supposed to be strong?" I asked the woman, I used my lower arms to punch her in the stomach, causing her stumble. I followed the woman and punched her in the face with my arm. She-hulk hit the ground hard. I raised my foot to stomp on her back, but She-hulk moved out of the way. She turned on the ground and used her foot to kick me in my chin. I stumbled slightly, but other than that I was unfazed. She hits hard, but nowhere near as hard as Exodus. " If that's the best you can do, then this gonna be very fast." I told the woman.

" Little shit." She-Hulk reeled back and punched my in my face again. I ate it and smirked at the woman. " Well, damn."

I Reeled back and slammed my fist into She-Hulks gut and sent her flying through the forest around the school. I then turned my attention to Iron Man and Falcon who were starting to over-power the others.

" Tony, Things have got out of hand. But maybe it's not too late to..." Falcon spoke as he slammed his fist into Mimic's jaw.

" It is, Falcon. They see us as the enemy and frankly they should." Tony told the man. " The X-Men and Avengers are at war. Every place, every person is now an asset. A weapon to be used or taken out." Tony explained to the man. I don't know what it was, but some kind of energy attack dropped Cannonball.

I leapt at Iron Man and was met by another repulson beam to the chest. It didn't hurt, but it did kill my momentum. I landed back on the ground and looked up to see Falcon coming after me.

Thankfully, Rogue intercepted the man. And when she did, Falcon screamed in agony and collapsed to the ground.

" What are you doing to him?" I asked the woman.

" This is how Mah powers used to work. Ah touched someone, Ah got their skills and psyche. Knocked'em unconscious. Painfully." Rogue explained. " Same way Ah beat the Avengers back in the day. Ah steal their powers... Like Falcons ability to talk to birds and use them against their friends." Rogue explained. She raised her hands and a swarm of birds attacked Iron Man.

" Way to go, Rogue!" I shouted.

" Mimic! Keep Iron Man Busy! Ah'll back you up as soon as Ah can." Rogue told the man.

" He'll have a long wait." She-Hulk who was returning to the fight told Rogue as she ran up behind her. She-Hulk tried to punch Rogue, but having taken Falcon's abilities, Rogue evaded the attack with ease.

" Since when can you move like that?" She-Hulk asked.

" Since Ah took the Falcon's powers." Rogue replied.

While She-Hulk was distracted I rushed the woman.

" You should pay attention." I told She-Hulk.

She looked back at me just in time to block my kick aimed at her chest. However, I wasn't trying to knock her over. Just get her distracted. She-Hulk skidded back right into Rogue's grasp.

" Damn it." She-Hulk cursed.

" And Now Ah'm gonna take your powers." Rogue told the woman.

" Not... Gonna make it easy." She-Hulk told the woman as she struggled in Rogue's arms. She-Hulk Jumped backwards and crashed into a tree with Rogue on her back. But Rogue held on and soon She-Hulk passed out.

Rogue stood up but was breathing heavily.

I ran up to the woman to make sure she was okay. " Rogue are you okay? You look." Before I could finish my sentence, Rogue punched me in the face. Hard. I stumbled and looked up at the woman. ' Damn, she's lost it. Maybe that was too much Hulk.' I thought to myself. " Ugh!" I grunted. Mimic who had been fighting Iron Man was suddenly thrown into me.

" Sorry, Kid. Bucket head got the best of me. You alright?" Mimic asked as we both got to our feet.

" Yeah, I'm fine." I told the man.

Mimic nodded and flew back to fight Iron Man. I followed after him. 'We need to take him out.' I knew it and so did Mimic.

Mimic flew towards Iron man and was blasted once again. Using him as a distraction I snuck up on Iron Man and grabbed hold of him. " Open up Stark." I taunted the man as I squeezed his armor. I tried to crush it enough to hurt him, but before I could He blasted me with some kind of energy field. I landed hard on the ground.

" Thomas." I looked up and I saw that Ms. Pryde had come out to the field.

" Hey, teach." I responded.

" You good kid?" Frenzy asked. She reached down and offered me a hand.

I took it and got to my feet. " Teach, you got any ideas to take that guy out? I can't get close enough long enough to do any real damage." I told the woman.

" Disrupting his systems might. Which is what happens when I phase through technology." Kitty explained. " Have you been around long enough to know what a fastball special is?" Kitty asked.

" I'm strong, teach. Not stupid." I grabbed Ms. Pryde by her shirt and launched her at Iron Man.

Kitty entered through the man's back and came out of the front. " This is my school, Stark. And you're expelled." Kitty told the man. However, things didn't go as we thought.

" You didn't think I'd have countermeasures for something like that?" Iron Man asked. He shot Ms. Pryde with some kind of beam, and she landed hard on her back.

' Damn it.' I cursed mentally. Frenzy and I both rushed Iron Man and tackled the man, while Ms. Pryde tried to get Rogue to join the fight again. I don't know what happened, but at some point Moon Knight grabbed hold of Rogue and she dropped to the ground. But I didn't have time to worry about that.

Iron Man grabbed Frenzy and threw her into the ground hard. He then turned to me, and his chest started glowing. I knew that couldn't be good so, I reached up and struck him right him his chest. Just as I did a beam came out of it and pushed me away from the man. Iron Man seemed to gloat over knocking me away. But when I looked up, I grinned. I don't know what she said but, Ms. Pryde managed to get Rogue back on her feet.

Rogue snuck up behind Iron Man and tapped him on the shoulder. " Hey. Remember me?" Rogue asked. Iron man turned around and Rogue punched a hole straight through his chest. I was shocked at first but then I saw that there was only metal and man. ' A drone.' I thought. It hit me and smiled. The chains were off. I ran up to Iron Man and ripped his legs off.

" Ah'm an X-Man. This Mah house. And you're trespassing." Rogue told the man. She grabbed hold of his arms and put her foot on his face. I joined in and grabbed Iron Man's chest and started pulling. " So Ah'm giving you the bott!" Rogue told the man. And in one swift motion we complete tore the suit of armor apart.

" That was something." I exclaimed. " Ah, Rogue? Do you know who I am? Or should I be ready for another slug to the jaw.

" RRRRRRR>" Rogue growled and I put my arms up. " Like Ah told him. Ah'm Rogue." Rogue told me. She reached down and grabbed Iron man's helmet and started squeezing it in her hands. " And Ah just beat the Avengers. Again." Iron Man's helmet shattered in her hands like a piece of glass.

" Nice job, Hommie." Gambit came up from behind me and patted me on the shoulder. And I just laughed.

Later, we all gathered the Avengers and tied them up so that they couldn't escape or start fighting us again.

" The autopilot will take them home. Although I'm sure I don't have to tell any of you that we just lost any chance of staying neutral." Kitty explained.

" That was never an option, Kitty. We were foolin ourselves to think it was. Ice man was right." Rogue explained. " Ain't no sittin on the sidelines in this one. What's come before don't matter. This is about our future. The difference between havin one and not. We let fear'a the past tie our hands, we're takin that choice away from ourselves before anyone else even gets the chance." Rogue explained.

" Can I say something?" I asked.

Everyone looked at me and Gambit nodded.

" Ever since I first felt this damned bird coming. I'm not gonna lie. I've been afraid. No, more like terrified. I wanted to believe that maybe the Avengers and Logan knew what they were doing. And That Hope knew what she was doing. But after today, I can't say anyone really knows. But what I do know is that they came here today to make us prisoners. To watch over us like we were animals. To cage us. And I don't fly like that. I'm not gonna sit on the sideline and let this play out anymore. I sat by and watched, and the fight still came to our doors. So, I'm throwing my hat into the ring. Rogue, if you're going to fight, then I'm coming with you." I told the woman.

" Call Rachel and Iceman and tell'em we're in." Rogue told Kitty.

With that being said I walked back to the school. I had one more thing to do before leaving.

" Shiva! Shiva! Shiva!" I arrived to a resound applause from the other students who had been watching the fight.

" Dude, you kicked ass." Santo exclaimed. " How did it feel to fight the Avengers?" He asked.

" It was weird. They're resourceful. Or at least Iron Man is." I told the man.

" Pardon. What are you gonna do now?" Ruth asked.

" Well, first. I got someone to see." I told the girl. I walked over to Ruth and squatted down next to her desk. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a necklace. Ruth's face seemed to turn slightly red, I figured she must have been sick or something, so I just ignored it. " My mother gave me this. Said I'd know what to do with it when the time came. I have no idea what she was talking about of course. But considering everything going. I don't know how this is all going to play out. But I do know I want you to have this, so when you feel like you're alone you'll have piece of me right there with you. Or incase the worst happens, something to remember me by." I explained to Ruth. " Can I?" I asked Ruth as I gestured towards her neck.

Ruth smiled and leaned forward for me. I reached up and clasped the necklace around her neck for her and leaned back. " Beautiful."

" Thank you." Ruth replied.

" Well, I should be going now. Don't want to be here when more Avengers show up. You all take care of each other." I told the class as I got to my feet. " Oh, and when Kubark comes back from wherever the hell he is. Someone tell him. I said Haha you missed out loser." I laughed heartily and walked out of the classroom, for the last time in what was most likely going to be a long time.
