11 Cosmos!

Today's a good day. It's Saturday and I don't have school today. " AHHHHHH!" I stretched my arms and yawned loudly. I looked over and saw that I had awoken Kubark.

" Ah, you bastard. I was dreaming of my Harem. And you ruined it." Kubark complained.

" Dude, it's never gonna happen. Just let it go man." I told him. He looked at me and for a second, I thought he'd try to fry me with his heat vision. but he simply groaned and rolled back over. I guess he really wanted to continue that dream. " Meh, whatever man."

I hopped up out of the bed and made my way down to the cafeteria. I had already showered and cleaned up after my morning workout. On my way down I ran into, Ruth, literally.

" Good morning, Ruth. How are ya doing today?" I asked the girl.

" Excuse me. Good morning. Sorry, I was not paying attention." Ruth apologized.

" No problems. Ruth. Since I've ran into you how about coming with me to breakfast. We haven't had a chance to eat together just the two of us." I asked.

" Excuse me. I'd love too." Ruth replied.

I reached out and gently grabbed Ruth's hand and led her down to the cafeteria. Once there I pulled Ruth's chair out and helped her sit. She always wore a blindfold over her eyes, apparently, she doesn't have eyes at all. So, I always felt better helping her if I needed to. Once she was seated, I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed one tray of Bacon, Waffles, Pancakes, and Steak for me. And for Ruth, I got her eggs, Pancakes, and toast with a glass of orange juice.

'This should be good for the both of us'. As I walked back to the table, I noticed that someone else had joined Ruth at our table. It was Cessily, Santo, Victor, and Julian. " Great, so much for just the two of us." I groaned and walked over to the table.

" Hey, four arms what's going on man?" Julian asked as I approached the table. I nodded at him and sat down between Ruth and Cessily. " Here you go, Ruth." I told the girl as I placed Ruth's tray down in front of her along with her juice and then placed mine down as well.

" Excuse me, thank you very much, Shiva." Ruth replied. She reached down and grabbed the fork on her plate. While she did Santo reached over to her plate and tried to grab one of her pancakes.

I quickly swatted Santo's hand away as Ruth took a bite from her food and scowled.

" Ow man." Santo groaned.

" Go get your own food man. I got that for Ruth." I told Santo.

The rock boy looked at me like he was hurt, While Cessily laughed.

" Ahahahaha! That's what you get." Cessily laughed. She then turned to me and smiled " So, what's going on?" Cessily asked.

" Not much. I was gonna eat breakfast with Ruth and then hit the gym again today. Gotta stay in tip to condition if I wanna be the best." I told the girl.

" Tip top condition?" Julian exclaimed.

" Yeah man. Can't get complacent." I told the boy.

" Well, that's fine, I guess. But to be fair you really don't need it." Cessily stated. And to be fair she was right, I was stacked. Even my abs had abs. But hey that's neither here nor there. Right now I was still upset that our alone time was ruined. I like Cessily a lot and I would have been fine if it was just her. But Santo and Julian now that's just too much. Oh well. No use complaining.

" I'm sorry about this, Ruth. It was supposed too just be us." I told the girl, she seemed so happy when I told her it'd just be us.

" Excuse me, it is okay. I thank you for inviting me anyway." Ruth replied. Ruth's whole demeanor changed, even though she was smiling I could by the way her shoulders were slouched she was upset.

" Oh, Ruth... I'll make it up to you, how about we go--" As I was speaking, I suddenly felt a searing pain in my ears. " GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I jumped from my seat and held my ears in pain. Every other student who was in the cafeteria all jumped and looked toward our table.

" Shiva!" Cessily Shouted

" DUDE!" I heard Julain and Santo both yell.

But I was in too much pain. I could hear it. I lost my footing and hit the ground hard

" Excuse me, what's wrong?!" Ruth asked as she shook my body.

" I can hear it! I can! I can hear it burning! The Cosmos! Something's burning the cosmos!" I shouted as I writhed in agony. " A bird of fire! It's burning everything! The cosmos is in pain!"

At the same time two telepaths were suffering from the same pain.

" AHHHHHHH!"

" GAAAAAAAH!"

Rachel and Quentin Quire, both omega level telepaths suffered from the same piercing pain in their minds. Having both been hosts for it they could both feel its coming.

" It's... It's... Coming." Both Quentin and Rachel stated. Rachel hit the floor and Quentin fell out of the sky as he practiced with the others while using a jetpack.

" The Phoenix!" Shiva, Rachel, and Quentin all exclaimed before passing out completely.

POV Change.

At this moment Rachel, Quentin, and Shiva were lying in the medical wing of the school being over seen by Kitty, Logan, and Ruth

" Rachel and Quentin suffered some kind of telepathic seizure. Apparently at exactly the same time. And Shiva, from what I could get out of the others, suffered something similar, but instead he was grasping his ears and constantly shouting that he could hear the Cosmos burning. And they all exclaimed adamantly it was coming." Kitty Explained to Logan. " Considering Quentin and Rachel both have past connections to the phoenix force; you can imagine how the rumor mill is churning. It doesn't help we all saw Captain America drop by for a chat."

" And Ruth?" Logan asked as he looked over at the girl at Shiva's bedside.

" She's been beside him ever since he collapsed four hours ago." Kitty replied at that news Logan sighed and rubbed his face. " Logan, if you have any idea what's going on, I'd sure like to hear it." Kitty told the man.

" Get everybody together. The entire staff." Logan told the woman.

" Oh my god. It is the Phoenix, isn't it? What did Cap want? What are we gonna do?" Kitty asked the man in a panic. But Logan kept walking. " Logan?!" Kitty shouted one last time. She grit her teeth and then started walking. She took one last look at three of the strongest mutants in the school who had all been hospitalized in an instant and then quickly walked out of the room to alert the remaining teachers to the coming threat.
