I crushed hard. By its look, I probably have several broken ribs. A dislocated right shoulder and some fractures on different parts of the body. I tried to get up but I couldn't, and that's when I took notice.

"Aaagh!" I let out a cry.

My head was spinning and waves of pain hit me harder every time. I clutched my head and got up while gritting my teeth. I grabbed my right hand using my left and pulled harder.

"Crack!" I breathe deeply as the pain started to lessen.

I put my right hand over my bullet wound which was oozing out blood. I walked to the only door I could see and opened it before heading out. It led to a tunneling system which branched every twenty meters or so.

...

"Bravo 6 watch our back. Bravo 2 and 3 with me. Bravo 4 and 5 stay with Vega."

Three soldiers were seen embracing a pole going down. They went for the tunnel and stopped after seeing it connected into different tunnels.

"Bravo 6, which direction is he heading to?" Only static interference was heard over the comms.

"Bravo 6 do you copy." And again no answer came through.

Jacob tried again to contact his teammates on the ground to no avail. They searched for a blood trail but couldn't find any as the floor was wet with water. This caused him to have a migraine. They were incompetent and lost their target and something or someone was jamming their signal.

...

As Leah was on the lookout. She spotted two military helicopters approaching from the distance two miles from their location. Through the scope, she couldn't identify them. She contacted her team but no one answered. She then used Morse code indicating that they had company. Bravo 4 and 5 got the message and went to the balcony to check it out as Vega followed behind them. A solemn face appeared on all of them as they knew trouble was coming.

Then out of the blue, it appeared. A Hellfire 2 anti-tank guided missile headed their way. Leah raised her sniper rifle. She was calm as she tuned out all the background noise, and the world seems to have stopped moving. She looked through the scope then pulled the trigger. Turned 7° clockwise then fired another shot in quick succession. And again pulled the trigger for the third time slightly 2° off the second shot.

"Bang!"

This time around the bullet left a blue trail on its wake, barely noticeable.

"Boom!"

That was the sound of the Hellfire 2 missile exploding halfway to its target. The ground trembled and the trees swayed violently causing debris to scatter all around. One apartment directly beneath the explosion was in shambles. Pieces of the roof being blown in every direction.

The occupants scanned their surroundings before they started running outside while screaming. By the time they were on the street, people had already gathered looking scared to death between the approaching helicopters and the wreckage in front of them.

After the second shot was fired. It went straight for the pilot of the first helicopter. It shuttered the glass and hit in-between the eyes of the pilot. Blood and brain gore-splattered in all directions. Before anyone could register what was happening, a bullet successfully hit one of the rotors cutting it clean from the base. At the speed it was flying in, with only a copilot and unfunctional rotors. The helicopter made its descension.

"Thank you, baby girl." Leah said while stroking the Angle of Death which had smoke rising from its muzzle.

After discovering that they had company, Leah changed her magazine to Double Armor Piercing Bullets. They were experimental bullets developed recently by a scientist from MI6 Academy and were yet to be tasted. In theory, they packed a punch of destruction and bend most armor to their will. But with this mission, she has seen first hand and now knows their worth.

...

I clutched my stomach as I staggered forward like a drunk. I felt tipsy and came to a conclusion that I was poisoned, but how? I looked down to my stomach and kept thinking that it's impossible for me to get poisoned. Thinking back what I had gone through to achieve a 98% poison immunity from all the poisonous organisms found on earth.

This was something new. Suddenly an explosion made me abandon my thoughts and pain, and embrace the wall. After a while, the ringing sound of my eardrums subsided before resuming my walk of shame in another direction.

"Hahaha! ha! ha!" I laughed at myself as I didn't think that I would one day walk naked in tunnels.

I took several steps and another shuttering explosion shook the tunnels leaving cracks all over. I continued walking while thinking what Euripides said, that; "When a good man is hurt all who would be called good must suffer with him."
