1 Encounter with a Crossdresser

"Man this sucks."

"I know right? I wish summer vacation lasted longer."

Both my friends were complaining to me, while we turned the final corner and entered the street our school is on. They thought we would be early, but lots of people were heading inside at that moment.

"You think they should extend it to like, two months?"

"Fine by me, six weeks is just too short. I couldn't even do everything I planned."

I don't really mind how long our vacation is, as long as we get enough time to rest. Six weeks is more than enough.

"What about you, Lara? What do you think?"

"Huh, oh, yeah they should extend it a few weeks in my opinion."

"Not that you have a lot to do. Did you even make plans?"

"Haha, yeah a few."

I laughed, but I had no clear idea of why. We took a turn to the right and entered the school's campus, headed for the bicycle storage. I got off my bike first, while the others cycled forward a little longer before getting off.

"Don't fall behind!"

I know, Maddie, I know.

"Sorry!"

I sprinted towards them and placed my bike next to hers, putting the lock through my wheel and the bike stand and closing it.

"What's our first class again?"

"No idea. Do you remember?"

I just parked my bike, hold up for a moment. As I took my phone out of my pocket, I noticed something. A brief flash of light, coming from behind the building and rising up into the sky. Just past the door, and around the first corner. There are benches there, for during the lunch break, but nothing else. Nothing that could've produced that light.

"Wait, Chris, I remember! I think we started with Maths today."

"Really? As if our first day–"

And then we heard a loud explosion, coming from the main road, near the station. Suddenly, a large burst of flames exploded out of a dormant carriage, that has been sitting there for years. It was enormous, that creature, but I had a rough idea of what it was. It looked like a Type One Scorsocrist, but it might have been a Type Two.

"You don't see those every day, do you?"

Maddie and Chris watched it but slowly continued to walk to the door.

"Well, someone will take care of it soon enough."

After she said that, a bright flash passed over the school building, at over fifteen stories high, headed for the massive flaming Scorsocrist. The creature was releasing dark red flames, so they mustn't have been too hot. Poor thing, I hope he lived a good life before this.

"Go, Thundergirl!"

"Strike him down!"

A lot of people were cheering her on, mostly the boys. She charged at the fiery creature in less than a second, wrapped around it, and punched it a few times with her Charged Fist, as her fans call it. I didn't pay attention that much, to be honest. The creature fell to the ground after just three punches, so I knew her Charged Fist is strong. Being the sole person with electrical powers, I understand why she would be highly ranked among all the Peacebringers. Thundergirl is a boring name, compared to those of all the other on top. The term Peacebringer is a little uninspired too.

"Well, that was boring. I heard the worst part is cleaning up such a large one."

"They don't appear often, lucky for them."

They increased their pace again, and I quickly sped up as well. I had to catch up with those two girls, those two girls in slightly too revealing clothes. How they can live with all those perverted teenage eyes burned onto them, I will never understand. Before I headed inside, I wanted to check out what that light was behind the building.

"You go ahead, I forgot to lock my bike!"

It was the weakest possible excuse, as I quite clearly locked it. Though, they wouldn't have noticed.

"Sure, see you in class."

I waved and pretended to head to my bike, but after they were out of sight I ran and turned around that corner. There, I found a bag, a simple backpack, one that you use at school. I picked it up and looked around.

"Did someone lose it?"

I had no idea who it was from, I didn't recognise it. It was a plain, gray backpack. There was no way I could've recognised. This corner was also an odd place to lose something, as it isn't visible from the schoolyard or the bike stands.

And then the flash of light reappeared, blinding me because it was so close this time. Once I opened my eyes again, she was standing in front of me. Thundergirl was standing in front of me. I was shocked, still holding the backpack in my hand. Thundergirl stepped forward and came to a standstill in front of me. I was breathing heavily, from both excitement and confusion. Why would she be here? Is this her backpack? Does she go to my school, and does anyone else know about that? All those questions arose in my mind, while I was locked in place.

"Uhm, can I have my bag back?"

It was her backpack. I handed it over and she opened it. Her bright blond hair had twintails in them, and she was wearing a pink crop top and skirt with a light blue ribbon on the edge, connected to each other with straps going over her exposed belly. Thundergirl, with her signature outfit, was standing in front of me. Only a few people had ever seen her up close, so this was a once in a lifetime experience.

"Hey, do you go… to this school?"

"Kinda."

Her voice is extremely light and has a higher pitch than mine. Only Madison could top that pitch, but she'd have to try really hard. But I only realised it after I stopped admiring her voice. What did she mean with 'kinda'?

Before I knew it, she had already put her shoes in the bag, and took out other ones, together with another set of clothes and a black hairbrush. She pulled down her white thigh-highs and stepped out of them.

"What are you doing?"

"Changing."

Her voice was suddenly lower. Extremely lower, as in, a boy's voice low. Thundergirl's voice changed from the highest pitch I have ever heard to an average teen boy's pitch. She undressed almost completely, the exception being her pink-white striped undies. I suppose it should be 'his' pink-white striped undies now, but they were female underwear. And, when I noticed, I immediately looked at his chest and face. I didn't want to have to stare at his parts any longer, even if they were covered by underwear.

"So, you probably want an explanation."

I didn't notice his question at first, as I was too focused on his chest. I had always thought Thundergirl was just flat-chested like me, but now it was all clear. Thundergirl is actually a teenage boy.

"Well, even if you don't I will give it anyway. I will keep it short."

"Huh? Oh, sorry. That would be nice, yeah..."

I was too startled to listen intensively, but I got the gist of his explanation.

"As you can see, I'm not a girl. I just dress up as one while I fight. You're Larissa, right?"

I plainly nodded.

"I'm Autumn, we're in the same class, though I don't think we have ever talked."

While he explained, he put on his jeans and shirt, socks and shoes, and taking out the celeste blue scrunchies from his hair, letting it fall down below his shoulders. He started brushing it with the black hairbrush he took out of his bag.

"Class is almost starting, so I want to tell you more after school. Is that okay?"

I nodded again, as plainly as the first. At the time, I completely forgot about the plans I had with Christine and Madison.

"One more thing before we will pretend to not know each other."

And on top of it, he has an interesting way of talking, completely different from his Thundergirl act.

"Don't tell anyone. It will do good for both of us in the future."

I understood him immediately and nodded as fiercely as I could. Telling anyone would make his work a lot harder, as Thundergirl. He would be known all around the school and get an incredible amount of attention, which he probably doesn't like. And besides, he might have his reasons too.

"Come on, let's go to class. Maths was it? In classroom 3-1?"

He placed the bag in one swift motion on his back and walked around the corner. If I'm honest, he looked cool at that moment, maybe even likeable.
