Michizuka-~san~senpai just pushed this onto me saying I should start writing on it. According to ~her~senpai, this would help me contextualize

the experiences that I would get in this journey, and would also help with my autobiography if I ever decide to write one.

I felt like I should start at the very beginning from my birth up to now. But ~she~senpai said it would be

too long then so I should just start with introduction and day-to-day events. ~She~senpai

also told me to write it in a way that make it seem like I'm writing for someone other than me to read. Weird, but alright.

At any rate, hey there! My name is Akito Makishima. I'm a biology student, aspiring to become a biologist, specifically a field biologist! I'm currently on an expedition with the Erika Michizuka, ~famous eccentric,~ and a world renowned biologist. I was given the opportunity to work with her due to my professor's recommendation. I can't be

thankful enough! To make it even more exciting, my first time fieldwork outside of Japan is to the Amazon Rainforest! I'm on the plane as I ~spe~write this. I really cannot wait.
