10 10. The hunger

Cody got ready too early and came to Dale's house, it's Monday, generally Dale leaves house early and goes to school alone and unnoticed to avoid bullying and Cody knows his routine that's why he is here before he goes to school.

He will follow him to the school and then will take him to the desired destination "back of the cafeteria".

As time passes Cody gets tense, Dale is not leaving his house and as time passes, his chances to catch him alone reduce and his whole plan falls apart.

He can smell him, that proves that he is still in there, he decided to wait and see what he can do.

But his hope collapsed when he saw Ruth, Ruth never accompanied her other than Wednesday, Cody sensed something was wrong, and now there is no point in following them, he will find a chance alone with him, Ruth can walk him to school but he shares all classes with him and Ruth doesn't.

He ran to school and joined the gang, he still has fever and body shiver but he pretends like normal.

They all go to classes, Cody is waiting for lunch break, he can catch Dale alone and the plan will go as planned.

Because of assault Ruth decided to accompany Dale everywhere possible, she knows, she has different classes than him but she has a solution for that, David shares all classes with Dale and David and Ruth have good bonding, sometimes Dale thinks David is good to him because of Ruth. He wants good favour or something from her best friend but they are friends from a very young age so it doesn't matter. Dale doesn't have any problem because David is not a werewolf and once Ruth finds her mate all will be clear, Dale knows and hopes also that Ruth's mate will be great.

So Ruth talks to David and asks to be with Dale all time and inform her, if anyone messes with him, David wants to know more but he knows pack is a very closed community, she will not disclose anything to him. He likes her and doesn't know how to approach her, she is always good to him, he doesn't know why and doesn't care, he knows he doesn't have a chance with her but still, he has hopes.

David is very serious about his task, he literally followed Dale everywhere, and Dale doesn't have any objection, actually he asks him to accompany. Actually Dale didn't want to be alone too. They go together everywhere like the washroom, lockers, library.

Cody is feeling angry now, he doesn't know why, he has a high temperature and body shiver, he has had medicine twice from morning but no effect. He doesn't want to go to the doctor again, it's transition time so the doctor will make a big deal out of it and will admit him for observation. Luna already knows about his fever so she will make a scene. So the only option he has to avoid all this is hide and endure. He has difficulty to stand on his feet, it's not weakness but anger, his wolf is too much mad, and his anger is increasing whenever he sees Dale with David, his wolf is simply jealous but Cody doesn't get it, he is trying hard to control his wolf. He wants to assure him that he will find a way to get to his oxygen after school. Inside he knows Ruth will walk Dale home but waiting for a better opportunity is the only option he has now.

Whole day pass but Cody didn't get a single chance to be alone with Dale and now Ruth will walk him home, Cody always surprised to see that every Sunday Ruth walks Cody home and then go to her home, technically yes, Cody's home is near than Ruth's, but girl and boy relation generally don't work that way. And he doesn't believe in a best friend, but his wolf feels jealousy for David but not for Ruth. He accepted Ruth as his best friend.

Cody knows there's no point in following them, so he gets to his spot at the Dale's house, Noone is in the house.

Dale and Ruth reached in house but they didn't come into the bedroom, they started their homeworks on the dining table, Ruth stayed at his house until Dale's parents came.

After dinner Dale came to the bedroom to just wash up, he left the room asap and slept on the hall sofa.

Dale mom noticed a change in Dale's behavior and she noticed Ruth's consciousness also, Ruth has stayed lots of time at their home but today's behavior was a little different, like she was pray and Hunter is somewhere out there.

But Dale's Mom know, there's no point in asking Dale, Dale will never talk about there internal matter or any problem, she initially tried to ask him about bullying or any other problem, she also tried to talk him about the "talk", she asked his father to talk with him but Dale never share anything he just listened to them, he never tried to make conversation. Otherwise he is a good son, he spent time with them, he plays games with them, talks about days with them, he just hides his sexuality from them.

Dale's Mom always know that he is gay but she never confront it from him, she wants to let him knows her approval, she wants to support him. But she has to wait, until he opens up.

Cody waited until Dale fell asleep, then he came home, it's pretty late. If he wants to eat, he needs to take it out of the fridge, heat it and then eat. He doesn't have much appetite, so he decided to drink milk and take medicine for fever and sleep.

But Luna was in the hall waiting for him, when he entered, Luna asked worried, if he was feeling okay, then touched his forehead, she got shocked, his body was on fire. He asked Alpha to take the car out, the clinic was not far from Alpha house but she doesn't want to waste minutes, she wants to get to doctor as soon as possible, her son's body was on fire, transition is very strong and weak both for the body. Their body is becoming strong but that process can kill them.
