10 Chapter 9

SEREYA

EVERYONE in the academy felt terrified when the ground suddenly shook. Thunders and lightning also filled the sky as the inside of the artificial arena turned to crumble.

"Storm." I whispered coldly as I looked at the source of the enormous energy.

If this continues, the academy would be destroyed, too.

I could feel Nero’s stares at me so I looked at him.

"Can you do something about it?"

I shook my head.

No one could stop Isaac when he’s becoming like that. Even I and Panther could barely stop him from destructing.

By the first quake earlier, the faculty already opened the gate to let the students out. The students who seemed to be just waking up from a long sleep were startled and started shouting and running outside.

The academy lost contact of the two who were left inside.

Diego and Derene already woke up because of the healing potions the faculty had given to us. They were shocked to see that the arena we had been to earlier was already crumbling down.

Even the headmaster and the elders of Crea couldn't do anything about it.

Storm Gabriel Isaac was so strong. He's uncontrollable when mad. And I wondered what triggered him to release such tremendous powers.

But what made me irritated was the fact that no guardians who were supposed to protect all creatures in this world were nowhere to be found. Casa Del Crea was threatening to be ruined. But even their shadows were never present.

"Shit! Shall I call father right now?" Panther asked me a worried question.

Those with dark powers could somehow prevent Storm from destructing. But it could cause them their lives. I was already there.

Only the guardians can stop him from wreaking havoc.

I turned to him and looked at Nero. "Tell your dad to secure all students. Why did he let a rebel and demons enter here?"

Lu tsked. "That's why he let us join the game. Because he knew we could stop and kill them."

It all made sense now.

The challenge, the behavior of students inside the arena, the artificial demons, the poison. All of that was a ploy of that creature. The academy didn't even realize those possible scenarios that we might encounter. They just let all of us go in the place of the enemies.

Everyone stopped when they heard a horrible shout.

"Shit! Rain!"

I was stunned by Erin's scream.

Right! That bitch! Why did I ever forgot about her? Maybe something had happened to her already. She couldn’t handle a mad Storm.

We were not only affected by the energy from Storm because of the strong barrier that Sere and I created.

We can somehow counter his powers.

And I slowly felt worried about the girl who's with Storm.

What if she couldn't make it? What if she got hurt? Or worse get killed? What if she’s gone?

I was shaken.

No! storm would not hurt her.

I know she's special to him. I know that because I feel it. They have that special bond.

That's right! No ----

I stopped thinking when Derene tapped me.

"Look at the arena."

I followed what she said.

The arena was gone, no more rumbling sounds, no thunder and lightning. Instead, there was only Storm with Rain on his arms unconscious. Even though I was so far away from them, I could see them clearly. He was no longer wearing clothes so I could see his black tattoo on his chest. Rain on the other hand was unharmed. I did not see any wounds or scratches at all.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Rain!" I heard Lu shout and ran to where the two were. The seven of us followed her.

When we arrived we were surrounded by darkness.

I looked around in amazement but I quickly looked back at the two when I heard my companions gasped.

And I knew why. I had just saw Rain’s face.

Lying on Storm's arms was a girl with long golden hair, a heart-shaped face, long lashes, a proud nose, and red lips.

Right there and then, I saw a glimpse of Serenity by her hair, but what stopped my world when I realized, she looked exactly just like me, minus the color of the hair.

-----

SERENITY

I KNEELED as I looked at the woman who’s in Storm’s arms. The tears that I could no longer hold back began to fell on the ground.

"Serena ..."

I heard Reya say.

I couldn't stop myself so I started to cry.

My sister. Our sister.

Our sister whom we thought was dead is here in front of us, unconscious.

"Fuck!"

I heard my twin shouted and started throwing fire everywhere.

I even wanted to do that.

'Father? How could you do this? Why did you say she's dead? We have been mourning for her for fifteen years. Why?'

I could feel Derene caressing my back.

I know they were also shocked.

No one could tell she was our twin then because her face was different.

She's like a fallen angel who fell on the wrong place. An innocent angel.

"Serena ..." I sobbed and said her name as I slowly approached her. Storm released her so I freely hugged her tightly.

"I miss you, baby sis. It's me, your sister Serenity," I whispered to her while stroking her long hair like mine.

I couldn't imagine how she felt when she saw us for the first time after fifteen years- for fifteen centuries. That is why I felt her great joy and longing the first time she saw us.

It's because of us. Her sisters. Her twin sisters.

I stopped kissing her forehead when Storm spoke.

"We have to bring her to the dorm. She suffered from stopping me from destroying this place."

Still full of tears and smiled as I looked at him.

That's why he acted like that.

He knew.

He knew from the very beginning.

His lost soul was back.

That's why he cherished her. That's why he cared for her. That's why he changed.

Because the only one who could calm and balance the powers inside him has returned.

And I knew right there and then, this world would be safe from his wrath.

Because the two special beings were back together.

For eternity.
