4 Chapter 3

ERIN

"SO you mean to say, you did not release that heavy emotion?" Lu couldn't believe what I just told them.

I met with them as soon as the incident stopped to explain myself. We were at the top floor of the edifice where dormitories were. It was also where our own rooms where located. And even if I occasionally go home, I still have my own room here. There were ten rooms inside this dormitory and a big living room where we gather together to talk about our missions and some random things we wanted to talk about just like what happened earlier. This was like our second home. Our dorm is just like a house, and it's different from other dorms. More hi-tech and more facilities.

And what happened earlier reached the higher-ups of the academy that bothered us.

"If not you, then who? It would be impossible for Storm or Sere because they are not here," Nero spoke.

We let out a sigh of weariness at the same time.

"As far as I remember, no student is as capable as you-oh wait! I know one! Rain Seforza!" Nero exclaimed and even punched into the air.

Nero's been sneaking in and out of the faculty so it's no wonder he knew all the students.

"We must find her-"

I could not finish what I had to say because of the headache I felt.

I clutched my head and I could feel my companions were doing the same as I am.

"Argh!"

"Make it stop!"

"Damn it!"

And before we knew it, everything went black.

RAIN

I felt the searing pain in my brain, indicating that someone's in pain.

I grabbed my head and whimpered.

And even though it still hurts, I tried to relax. I need to know who this is coming from.

I closed my eyes and felt all creatures that were around me. The source was coming from upstairs.

Using invisibility, I walked through the crowd of people outside my room and made my way to the stairs.

I noticed that everyone I saw were normal.

Am I the only one? Or is the pain just for a particular person?

I stopped walking when that disappeared.

Thinking it might be serious, I continued walking and went straight at the last floor. The territory of the elites.

During my six months here at the academy, I knew the ins and outs of it.

I found the bodies of four people lying down and I knew them very well.

The elites themselves.

Even before I finally approached them, the door opened. And there came in four men in masks and went straight at the four.

Because I could read their minds, I could easily figure out their purpose. And it was not good. Using my ability to control, I stopped their bodies to go near them which surprised them.

"No one has the right to hurt these people," I said coldly and made a circle of lightning then moved it towards them making them trapped in it.

I closed my eyes again and looked for someone to help. I can't reveal myself. I need to find someone who could save them.

And when I tracked someone who's capable of helping, I talked to him using my real voice.

"Please come to the elites' room quickly. They need help. They need you."

After making sure he received my message, I cut our link to make sure he won't track me and immediately exited the room.

DERENE

As soon as my consciousness came back, I clutched my head because of the throbbing feeling inside.

"Thank God you're awake!"

Hearing that voice, I felt relieved and a sweet smile gradually appeared on my lips.

"Sere ..."

When I opened my eyes, gold pair of eyes met my blue orbs. It was full of joy and worry.

She gently stroked my hair and asked with a smile. "How are you feeling?"

Hearing what she asked, memories kept flooding in my mind.

We talked seriously and then there was pain in my brain.

"Where are the others?"

"You mean the other bitches and that jerk? You're just next to their bed."

I turned my gaze to the speaker. And a pair of red eyes met mine. Then I looked beside me. There, I saw Erin, Lu, and Nero still unconscious.

I just shook my head at the same time as a smile flashed on my lips when I saw the other three with her. Diego, Panther, and Storm.

They're back.

The elites are complete.

"You're back," I whispered softly.

"We are. And I missed you," Sere replied and hugged me.

I felt her warmth again. The feeling that only she could give.

"Fortunately, our mission was over. We were just about to enter the gate when someone spoke to Storm that you needed help. And instead of heading towards the headmaster's office, we rushed here to see you. We found you crouched at the table. And a ball of lightning was surrounding four masked men who were not moving. Good thing we had someone with us who could move anything, " she looked at Diego for a moment with a smile," We managed to make them move and talk. But the lightning was strong. Reya and I had join forces just to remove that. And Storm managed to talk to them, with force of course. And we found out they were not from here. They were just ordered to take you," Sere explained while still caressing my hair.

I looked at the stone man standing in the corner and smiled. "Thank you."

Storm just nodded and went back to normal. Frowning and cold expression as if deep in thought.

I just smiled.

Storm serves as our leader. He is also the president of the student council and holds the most powerful ability that even he himself cannot control.

Just like Sere and Reya, he was born from two opposite sides. If the two were from goodness and evil, Storm came from order and chaos. Those two were so strong that sometimes, he could not control his power.

That's maybe the reason why he remained a stone and never ever once shared his burdens to us.

He was so aloof and secretive that even Erin and Lucy couldn't tell what he feels and thinks.

And even so, he's the best leader I've ever met.

"Did you know who sent you the message bro?" Panther asked him.

He just shook his head and stood up straight. "She's great at hiding."

"What does she sound like?" Panther asked again.

"Her voice is like Sere's but venomous like Sereya's," he replied coldly. He hates someone asking him too many questions.

Reya frowned. If Storm does not want to be questioned, she does not want to be called by her full name. Like Lu.

Panther thought deeply. "I have never heard a voice like that before."

Diego stepped in. "Is there someone here who has that kind of voice as sweet as Sere and cold as Sereya? Is there really such a thing?"

I answered. "Let's leave her alone. Maybe she doesn't want to reveal herself. Let's just thank her because we were not taken."

They all nodded in agreement.

This is not just the first time this has happened. We were just new to the academy and have become part of the elites and someone was threatening our lives.

And even if the security of the school was very tight, there is still nothing we could do if those who want to take us were already a part of the academy. And no one knows who they are and why they needed us.

And maybe, because we are the children of responsible and well-known creatures so they wanted to take us.

And I hope, they won't succeed. 'Cause if they do, this world would disappear from the surface.
