11 Chapter 10

RAIN

My whole body ached when I woke up.

It's as if I slept for how many years. I could feel the pain that’s starting to envelop me. I had to breath a few times to calm myself and let myself adjust.

When I opened my eyes, I was dazzled by the light hitting my face directly.

I closed my eyes again to adjust to the light then sat up and opened them again.

I was surprised because this was not my room.

My walls were gray. But this room is a combination of gold and white.

What confused me the most was my bed. It was very soft and the blankets and pillows were pure white. The bed’s also twice the size of my bed.

Did they change my room while I was asleep? But that was impossible since I didn’t want anyone to even get inside my room.

"Where am I?" I whispered softly and finally stood up.

Suddenly, things that had happened in the challenge came rushing in my mind. We were inside the arena, I was with Storm, then the demon! And-

My eyes widened. "Storm!" I exclaimed and quickly left the room where I was.

I was about to take a step when I hit the wall.

Wall?

I had just opened the door and there was a wall just outside of it. What’s happening?

Puzzled, I looked up to see the entire structure. Only to find out that I didn’t hit a wall. Standing in front of me was a man with those dark eyes that could change into colors the same as mine, smiling gorgeously at me.

Those smiles...

"Storm!" I shouted and hugged him tightly then quickly let go to check him, "What happened? Are you okay? The academy? Sere? Diego and Derene? Are they okay?" I asked a series of questions that made him laugh softly.

My eyebrows met. "There’s nothing funny about what I said."

"Relax, Rain. I'm okay. The academy is fine. So as Sere and the rest of the elites. Thanks to you," he said laughing then looked at me earnestly, "You should be the one I’m asking that question. Are you okay?"

I thought deeply. Aside from the pain I was feeling earlier thaty just disappeared when I thought of him, I’m completely fine. "I'm fine. I was just in pain when I woke up. But it’s gone. Have you talked to the headmaster about what happened? How are the students?"

He frowned. "Why would we go there?"

I frowned. "To report what happened inside the maze?"

His eyebrows met. "For your information, that incident happened a month ago. Meaning, YOU were unconscious for almost a month."

I could not move in shock.

A month?!

That's too long!

"Serena! You're awake!"

I immediately looked at the person who called me by my real name. And there I saw Sere smiling widely at me and ran towards me then embraced me in a very tight hug.

"I missed you, dear sister."

I was even more shocked by what she said.

To my surprise, I did not realize that the two of us were floating until we reached Sereya.

"You’re too far for me to reach and hug," she said then I was just shocked when she cried and hugged us, "I miss you Rena!"

I was confused by what the two did.

'They knew about it. Look at yourself. Your true face is showing. We couldn't turn you back from your hidden image because we don't know how. We took you to the dorm after the incident to hide who you really are. '

I just burst into tears at what Storm said and reciprocated the hug my siblings were giving me.

Finally, I could hug them.

My sisters....

After a while, let go of each other and sniffed at the same time. The three of us laughed.

"Welcome back, Serena." Reya said still in tears.

I teased her. "Not calling me bitch anymore?"

She playfully glared at me. "You're still a bitch. How dare you hide your identity from us? That's why you were so familiar when we first met. You're such a bitch."

I laughed at what she said. "I'm sorry. If I show what I really look like, people might avoid me."

Reya frowned. "So you let yourself be hurt by those bullies. Tell me who they are and I will make them goats."

I laughed. "Don’t be mad at them. They stopped bullying me anyway when I was with you. It's no big deal for me. I'm used to it."

Suddenly, her face was serious. "I didn't know what happened to you. The two of us didn't know. Father stopped communicating with us ten years ago. Mother also disappeared. So you have a lot to tell us."

I sighed. "I'll tell you what really happened. But first, let me get something to eat."

They laughed at what I said and they me guided to the kitchen.

We found the other elites there smiling and looking at me while preparing the table.

"It's nice to see you awake, Rain. Or should I say, Serena," Erin greeted then rushed at me with a smile and hugged me.

Then she looked at the three of us in disbelief.

"Wow. I just saw triplets. And you three are so identical. If it weren't for the color of your eyes and hair we wouldn't know who’s who from whom."

We laughed at what she said. Then the others approached and greeted me, too.

"My goodness! You are really beautiful just like your sisters!" Nero exclaimed while looking at me in disbelief.

Everyone snickered.

Lu scowled at him. "Stupid! Of course, they’re twins! Identical twins! What do you expect? "

I shook my head while watching the two already bickering. These two shall be the most chaotic couple in the future. I was sure of that.

I smiled as they all sat down at the table.

"Let's eat."

I turned to the speaker and my smile widened.

"That's what I've been wanting to."

I looked at Storm who was in his usual poker face when he pulled the chair beside him and let me sit there. I could also feel the stares the others were giving me but I just ignored them and ate the food Storm put on my plate.

Storm Isaac may not know it but he's the most amazing guy I have ever met in my whole life. And nothing could replace him from that position.
