»» — [Shelter] — ««

Taehyung and Hoseok were walking through the rain together, headed for the distant light.

HS: "What should we tell them if someone lives there."

TH: "We should tell them about our situation, and then kindly ask if we can stay there until the storm has passed."

As they approached the house, they saw that it was actually a mansion and not a house. They walked up to the main entrance. The front doors were huge. A lighting flashed above them and they managed to see that the place looked old and deserted.

HS: "Think anyone lives here at all?"

TH: "I'm not sure. But we should still knock on the door first."

Taehyung knocked on the door, but it made no sound at all because the doors were so massive. After a moment he decided to hit the door as hard as possible. A muffled echo sounded inside the building. It sounded as if there was a big hall on the other side of the doors. The two of them were about to knock again when one of the doors slowly slid outwards. Dim light flowed out of the small crack. More light flowed out as Hoseok slowly pushed the door open.

HS: "Hello? Is anyone here?"

They stepped into a big and open hall with two big staircases running along the walls on either side, where they met at the center on the upper level. Under the balcony at the top of the stairs was another pair of huge doors. And between them and the boys, at the very center of the circular room, was a platform. It looked as if there had been something placed on it, such as a huge statue.

TH: "Looks like this place is owned by someone rich. It almost looks like a palace from the inside. Well besides the fact that it's much more dusty than it would be in a real palace."

HS: "It doesn't look like anyone lives here. Nothing seems to have been touched in a very long time. If someone actually lives here, they must be very fond of dust."

Taehyung grinned at his comment and put his hand on Hoseok's shoulder.

TH: "Let's explore that room to the left before going back to the others."

The room looked like a mix between a ball room and living room. It was huge and very spacious. If it hadn't been located in the middle of a forest, this room would have been very bright at daytime because of the huge windows.

HS: "Wow... It looks like this room is so tall that it takes up two floors."

TH: "I think it might do so. The people who have lived here have definitely been very wealthy. Maybe even high class people. Or royals."

HS: "I don't think any royals would live here in the middle of nowhere."

TH: "But where does the light come from?"

HS: "I don't actually know."

When they had entered they hadn't thought about the light. It didn't look like it came from anywhere. It was as if it was in the air itself.

HS: "Look here. There's a switch. Could that be for the light?"

TH: "Let's try."

They were about to flick the switch when a loud rumble sounded, and the sky flashed at the same time.

And then darkness.

Not only outside, but also inside.

TH: "What now... "

HS: "I don't know..."

The room flashed gently as Taehyung flicked the switch.

TH: "Never mind. Now we know that the switch works."

HS: "Yeah. We should go back to the others now. They're probably worried."

The car was completely silent. No one said anything. The storm was right upon them. Not long ago a lightning had flashed at the exact same time as the thunder has sounded. Another rumble and flash came and they were all blinded after the bright light when one of the doors suddenly opened and Seokjin cried out loudly which made the rest of them cry out too. It was Taehyung and Hoseok who had just returned.

SJ: "DON'T EVER SCARE YOUR HYUNG LIKE THAT AGAIN! I thought I was going to die."

YG: "Calm down man. You're overreacting."

SJ: "I am not."

TH: "Enough of that. We found the source of the light. It came from an old mansion. It's a huge place and there's more than enough space for all of us. No one lives there, but we should stay there until the storm settles. There's working light and all. I think it's quite nice place."

HS: "Besides the thin layer of dust."

NJ: "Then let's go before the storm gets worse."

YG: "Should we bring our stuff? I don't think we can carry all of it though."

SJ: "Let's just bring the most essential stuff, our tiny ration of food and some extra clothes."

After some more discussions they had brought all of their stuff in the end. Jimin threw himself down onto a couch as they slowly settled down in the big room. They had to use some random pieces of cloth to clean up all the dust. In the end the room looked quite nice and welcoming. They had lit a fire in the fireplace and moved all the furniture to the side and put out some mattresses on the floor. There had been a small room with bedroom stuff.

JM: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

JK: "Do you have to be so loud?"

JM: "I'm so tired now. We've been driving for hours. Does your phones work now? Anyone know how late it is?"

YG: "Nope. The phones are still blacked out, but there is a grandfather clock by the wall that says 1am. It seems legit, but of course, I don't know it it still works."

There was a short silence.

*Tic toc, tic toc...*

NJ: "Sounds like it's working all right to me."

TH: "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN-"

SJ: "Yeah. We should get some sleep. If the storm is gone by dawn, we will go on with our so called field trip."

They all agreed and went to sleep, without turning the lights off. After the long driving trip they were all tired and fell fast asleep.
