(W.O.T.A.F.) EIGHT

He looked really handsome with his buttoned-down white shirt and black suit pants. His hair messy as always but it still looked good. He looked calmer, more relaxed, unlike his usual hard and passive look he has on all the time.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

I suddenly could find myself speaking.

"I hate crowds. Especially Alpha crowds." He said.

I nodded. I could see him coming closer to me under the willow tree. He stood beside me and looked at the lake.

"And you?" He asked.

"I am avoiding a particular alpha that I don't like," I said honestly.

I turned and saw he had his stone face on. I saw his lips twitch and his eyes squint.

"Amelia."

He looked at me. He had returned to his soft, yet refined look that he had earlier.

"I would like to court you."He said.

I didn't know what to say. Court me? As in a date? I looked away from him. I don't want to rely on a man, I don't want it to happen again, like what Markus had done to me. I could feel his fingers come under my chin and he made me face him. I could see how serious he was about this. Do I want this? Do I want to have this man? There is no denying that what I felt last night, was absolutely amazing.

I've never felt more comfortable with any man before. But am I ready? Am I willing to do it? His determination in his eyes told me he was 100 percent serious.

"Do I have your permission?"

He asked me. I do want this man. I'm willing to do it. But what of his mate? I can't, no. I won't be that person where I steal or take the right of his mate away. I won't ever do it to someone like what Markus had done to me. I pulled away from him.

"You have a mate."

I told him. He was obviously taken aback by this. I'm sure he didn't think of that.

"She rejected me."

What? Why would a she-wolf reject him?

"And yours?"

He wants to know about mine.

"He rejected me."

I told him. He grabbed my face and came closer to me.

"Say yes. Say yes and I will only think of you." He said.

He came closer to me.

"I will only spoil you."

He came even closer.

"I will only look at you."

He came to my ear.

"I will only give you pleasure no other man could ever provide for you."

My cheeks were turning red. I could feel his hot breath on me. He moved to my other ear.

"And I will only love you."

He moved away from me and let go of my face. I was already missing his warmth. He smirked at me.

"But only if you say yes."

There is no denying it anymore. I want him. This man before me. I want him, and he may possibly want me just as much.

"Yes."

Once I said that I felt lips smash onto mine. The warmth he was radiating, I couldn't get enough of it. He deepened the kiss and I felt his arms wrap around my waist. I felt safe in his arms. I pulled away from him and he rested his forehead against mine. He smirked at me. Oh goddess, what have I gotten myself into?

ALEXANDER

I came back from my nightly run. Damn Kade. He dragged me all the way here for this damn alpha meeting. I walked down the hall and saw a woman up ahead. She wasn't facing me, she wore shorts and a sports bra. I must admit, she has a nice ass. She turned around and I was in front of her.

She looked startled by my presence. The moment she looked at me, I was speechless. She is the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. I need to say something. I sighed realizing this must be the work of Kade.

"Did Kade put you up to this?" I asked her.

She looked at me curiously. I watched her look down at her outfit.

"You must be mistaken. Your present must be in your room." She said.

I smirked at her. So Kade must do this to her as well. She must be alpha, Blackstone. From Kade's stories about her, they give her no justice. He says she's a ruthless killer, but her standing in front of me right now, with no sign of fear in her eyes, I knew she was different.

"I think I like the present that is right in front of me," I said.

I usually don't say things like this, but I found a little of my courage to tell her my truth.

"Well this 'present' wants to go to her room." She said.

She walked past me to her room. I watched as she left, she swayed her hips a little and I smirked. She knew I was looking. Did I go to my room, wondering what kind of female is she? I guess coming here wasn't such a waste of time. I called Daniel.

"Get over here with Garrett," I said.

"Alright bro, we'll be there in an hour." He said.

I hung up the phone and ignored the female lying in my bed. She tried to seduce me but it wasn't taking.

"Out."

She got up a ran out of the room as quickly as possible. I laid in my bed, thinking about that woman in the hall.

Daniel and Garret got here earlier on. I didn't feel like staying here for the breakfast. I hate crowds with way more alphas in there. It would get really dangerous if I even stepped foot in there. I began to walk out of the room and roam around the halls. I looked at the time and saw I am late for the meeting.

I walked over there and saw Daniel and Garret standing by the door to the meeting. They both had their ears up against the door.

"What are you two doing?" I asked them.

They looked at me and motioned me to come. I sighed and an annoyed look on Daniel started to form.

"Alpha Blackstone and another alpha, Richards are going at it."

I could feel the tension in that room, a deadly aura radiating from someone in there, and it was definitely not alpha Richards. Then the tension just suddenly dropped and an overwhelming sense of fear kicked in. I opened up the doors and walked in, Daniel and Garret behind me. Without knowing it, I found myself looking around the room and set eyes upon a gorgeous pair of hazel and blue eyes.

I found myself smirking at her as she looked at me. She turned her eyes away from me, and somehow I felt like I was missing them.

"The rogues have been targeting small packs. Already, they have taken out 5 packs." Kade said.

I tried focusing on the conversation, but her presence was distracting me. I could see in the corner of my eye that Daniel was looking between us. His own smirk forming.

"I've seen it. Our ally was attacked and we responded to their call for help. But when we got there, everything was already up in flames and bodies were everywhere." One alpha said.

Kade nodded.

"The council has discussed this. We think it's best if we could combine two or three packs together, aside from the Blackstone pack, Argo's pack, and the royal pack." Kade paused for a moment.

"We also discussed that the combined packs will move closer to Blackstone and Argo's pack. To make sure we are all together, Blackstone and Argos with merging their pack lands." Kade ended.

I looked to Daniel who had a smug look on his face. When did he and Kade meet up about this? Kade told me but I declined this idea. I zoned out of this meeting and left. It was boring me. Daniel and Garret stayed behind as I slipped away unnoticed. I managed to get out of that damn meeting to only feel dread as I stared at the one person who left me.

She stood before me, with a smile on her face, telling me she was happy to see me. But I didn't want to see her. She left me for another without even knowing who I really was.
