1 Shen Ling

ABC University, Girls Dormitory.

A girl was sleeping on the bunker bed, as another girl, hurriedly came into the room and tried to wake the sleeping girl up.

"Shen Ling, wake up!"

Seeing that she was not responding, the girl stood on a chair and began to shake her.

And so... Shen Ling's day began.

It was normal for her to wake up like this. She'd rush for classes and reach the class just on time.

And today was no different, except for the fact that she forgot her Vitamin tablet.

'Well, who cares anyway. It's just an iron tablet. And I've had Anemia for ages, but it had never affected me much.'

According to Shen Ling, nothing important happened that day.

She came back after her classes ended, and began reading Web Novels. No one would believe that she is in fact the one and only ten pointer in the whole Computer Science department in her University. She was too lazy to go out and interacting with others would drain her energy.

She didn't have any friends other than the one who came to wake her up. She longed to have siblings, but unfortunately, she was also the only child of her parents. She didn't have any hobbies other than singing and reading novels.

For the next few days, she never took her vitamins.

For Shen Ling, every day was a good day, as long as it wasn't 'that' time of the month.

Unfortunately, today was the first day of 'that'...

She would get really irritated during 'that' time. So, today she was very irritated.

Shen Ling was reading a new web novel that seemed really interesting to her, when she started the first chapter, her phone screen changed.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

It was her mobile ringtone... It was her mom who was calling...

"Hey, mom. What's up?"

"Xiao Hua, I'm moving there to C city. I'm not going to put up with this madness anymore."

"Mom, but C city is about 4 hrs travel from S city. And you can't get a transfer anytime soon. So, what will you do? And I'm sure any problem would pass. Wasn't it how the past 20 years have passed?"

"Xiao Hua, you know what? If not for you, I'd have divorced him long ago"

"Mum, please mum... He's my father. No matter what he does, he's still my father. The same as how you're my mother no matter what happens."

"I'm not forcing you. And you can't force me, Mum", Shen Ling continued.

"Okay, let's leave it at that. Have you had your breakfast? You are on your way to class right? It's about 7.55 am and you have class at 8.00 am..."

"OMG... Bye, Mum. Later"

She cut the call, gathered her books in her bag and ran out of her room.

Thankfully, her first class was in the building closest to her dorm.

At first, she felt tired, she ignored it as it was 'that' time of the month.

As she was running towards the academic building, she felt her vision fading.

'OMG, I forgot my tablets and my breakfast too'

That was her last thought before everything went dark.

Shen Ling felt that she had been asleep for who-knows-how-long as she tried to move her hands around.

She touched another pair of small hands, which was not hers.

Immediately, she felt shocked and kept her hands to herself, thinking that she might be hallucinating.

She tried opening her eyes, but she couldn't. She felt warm all over, as if she was wrapped by something incredibly nice. But the thing was, she couldn't even open her eyes, and she was afraid of situations like these, where she couldn't do anything.

She tried to think about what could be happening around her. Maybe after she fainted, she's in coma right now in some sort of hospital..?

It was possible. But there were a few things that didn't feel right:

1. She felt that a child was also wrapped along with her (in whatever she was wrapped.)

2. Her hands were also small, just like a child's.

At that time, she heard a woman's voice. It was just like her mum's, only a bit younger.

"Darling! The baby is moving!"

'So, I'm once again in my mother's womb, huh?'

'Heck! Even if I was, I didn't have a twin ... What the hell is happening?!'

Later, she got used to this warm feeling. She was a lazy girl after all. So, when she felt that there was no danger, she did her most important thing... sleeping.

Then, one day... She was pushed out...

(A/N: I'm not good at writing this part... So bear with this a little...)

"waaa... waaaa..." she heard her supposed-twin cry and just as she felt relieved that she was finally out of that place...Someone slapped her hard...

"waaaaa....waaaa...", she also started to cry and opened her eyes. She was handed over to her mother, while her supposed-twin was in her father's arms.

But she noticed a problem.

Something was different about her mother and father. They both looked younger, but that wasn't the problem.

The problem was... They wore ancient clothes as if they were in a costume drama.

Then she looked at the surroundings; it was also ancient... Like the bed... maids... everything.

'So... Did I come to a different world huh? Like in those novels? Interesting...'

"Wife, they look so cute! And we have daughters! Twin Daughters!", Shen Xin roared with laughter as she looked at his daughters.

"Shen Xin! Don't be too loud and scare the children!", her mother said.

Only then she noticed another thing... Their names were different from the original. And one more thing was different about her father and mother. They looked as if they loved each other. Not like in her original world, always fighting over some problem.

'That's good... Even though it is a different world, I can see my dream come true...'

Yeah, that was what her dream was. She didn't want to achieve anything big, but for her father and mother to live a peaceful and loving life. But it didn't happen. She was happy to see that, at least it happened in a different world.

And she had a twin too... How wonderful! She had always wanted siblings...

Suddenly, she heard a boy's voice.

"Mum, dad! How is my sister?"

She looked over and saw a little boy running over from the outside and was shocked.

'So I have an elder brother too...?! The most 'wonderfulest' thing that has happened to me!' She was overjoyed at this fact.

"It is not 'sister'... It's 'sisters'!", his father corrected him.

"Wow! I have two younger sisters!" Shen Qiu was also overjoyed.

When Shen Ling stared at him and smiled, he said "See, my younger sister likes me!"

Anyway... Shen Ling was too much happy over the situation which was happening around her, but at the same time, she felt that she was missing something.
