5 Chapter 4.

(Maika POV)

Pointless chatter was exchanged between us, nonsense spilled from our mouths as we laugh and yell down the hallways. We were making our way to our first class (luckily we had everything together) which happened to be maths, we stopped at the door looked at each other with concern then bravely walked in. The first thing I noticed was the starring, I mean it's human nature to look at a person you've never met before walking into the same room as you so I paid no attention, but Jasmine froze up a bit and I could see she was about to panic.. I grip her hand tightly and rub circles on her skin and she begins to calm down, the three of us make our way to the back of the class and sit next to each other carrying on our conversation from before.

Time skip~

Considering it was our first class it wasn't all that bad and now we were hurrying through a sea of students trying to get to the food court before we are swallowed whole. Luckily, we managed to get there and were now sat on a little ole table away from the others, we weren't saying anything until Jacob peeped up.

"What the fuck is this?! Are we at the fucking opera? Why are y'all asses so quiet?" We couldn't help but giggle at Jacobs outburst.

"Sorry Jacob but I was finding it difficult to find the right words to say so that it would be easier for that little brain of yours to understand" I calmly chirped in.

"Yeah Jacob, aha ya stupid" Jasmine cutely replies. We could see the rage fill up in Jacobs eyes and we knew it was time to get the fuck out of there so before anything else was said me and Jasmine quickly removed ourselves from the chairs and ran away from Jacob but was soon caught by the beast.

"Why I outta smack that shitty attitude right out of ya ya cheeky shit!" Jacob laughed/yelled. We spent the rest of our break chatting and laughing about the most random things.

Time skip~

Today was a good day, classes were okay and even made some new friends! I thought it would've been a lot worse but I couldn't be more happier! To think that such a small thing could fill my heart with such excitement and hope, I couldn't help but smile whilst walking towards the school to pick up the triplets, my head couldn't decide on what to think about: my day at school or worry about how the triplets are. I basically started skipping when nearing the school and I could see the triplets waiting with a teacher, a huge smile formed across my face as we made eye contact. I run towards them as they open their arms for a huge group hug between us.

"Ahaha Maika did you miss me that much? But I mean who wouldn't" Jess commented whilst smirking.

"Hey bro! I can't breath.. ah! You're killing me!" Kai wheezed out.

"I don't particularly dislike this". Ben calmly explained. I laughed loudly one more time before letting them go, I thank the teacher and leave with the triplets in hand. They told me all about their day and how much fun they had, I could feel my heart getting warm as I listened to how much they liked school and happiness for them filled my body.

"You know what?! Tonight we're having a feast!" I loudly pronounced as the triplets screamed in delight as it had been awhile since we last treated ourselves as I hadn't been paid until today. We finally made it back home with the triplets excitedly talking about what they're going to have. We were happy. Walking up to the door I had noticed... it was open.

"Stay here," I warned the triplets as I carefully creaked open the door, my heart thumping in my chest as I felt like it was going to rip itself from my body, my hands began to shake and my thoughts running around thinking of the most horrible things. But the one that kept throwing itself at me, the one in bold fucking letters.

"Dad?"
