WORTHY LIVING?

The rattling has always been the music of his life for the last five years! The foul odour has greatly eroded the mucosal lining of his nose. He can't imagine if these were the beckoning scenes, scenes of dismantle and virtual horrific movies. His face seems glittering from a distance when it's stroke by the rays. It was after his routine loitre, a tour of no definate destination full of intimidating rebukes.

The irritative thunderous music converging on his eyes almost tore his tymphanic membranes. They hardly gave him a second to diversify his mind, the situation was ardently static! Sitting on his ragged mattress supported by old woody bed, his gaze on the right-corner corrogated iron sheets walls of his small rest pen-like room. He was motionlessly watching a black shinny centipent that was speedily crawling from a hiatus on the corners of the room, it's destiny was the locality of his rusted light kerosene stove. Everything seemed to lack congruence with him. This wasn't a retaliation! It was a one-sided oppression! His mind was silently shouting this words as a reggae song 'prisoner' played persuasively in the adjacent room. He admired the past!

"I will make it!" His already guiltlessly arrested arrested mind couldn't give such a proposal. All what he could recall was the promising life he had in college. He was now seeing the deceitful life early treats it made for him. The memories of the strains of hope in the libraries were tearing his young heart. How could he tame them? He cannot imagine if he has missed a struggle with dunce populace. The people who the society considered as vagabonds! They had no certification yet they won the battle, the battle of the "slavery qualifiers!" Lifting the heavy construction block in persuit of few coins that are the basis of insolvency! He felt wasted, so unpunctual and idiotic for he owned a dully stamped university accredition papers and wondered if the promise of being a banker was to be real!

Jessein was the first born in the family of eight. He knew he was the only hope that mzee Mwaka had. The only bank account the family had. He knew he was the only expensive asset of the family-all cattle, land and other ownerships that were used to keep his stay in college. He wished for a reversal of the days, the days he had the conviction that education was all he needed! He wished for a chance to withdraw such convictions, rather he could not persuade his father for such a mess! As he was making these fantastic wishes, his little mobile phone was making an alarm. It was one of upleasing pop-ups which had been turning his phone off. It was a "please call me" message from his father. He wondered how long it would take to give a response, possibly in the next three coming days!
