62 Gather Up

Lucius opened his eyes after resting a bit and noticed that Lily had just moved.

"You're awake, aren't you? How are you feeling?" Lucius asked, glancing at Lily while pretending to fake sleep.

"Yawn, what did you say?" She yawned and stretched as if she had just woken up.

Lucius focused on her face and fell silent.

"What has gotten into you?" Lily asked, noticing the complex look on Lucius's face.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was you, my neighbour, from years ago, Liliana," he replied, looking a bit perplexed.

"Oh, that?" Lily paused for a moment before examining his face. "You can call me Lily, for now... After what happened, I shortened my name."

Lucius nodded in understanding and put his hand on her forehead to check if she still had a temperature.

As Lucius helped Lily up, she blushed lightly and calmed down. "It seems the fever has passed. Can you walk?" Lucius let out a sigh of relief.
