Back From The Dead

The room was filled with tension and anger. Six boys and four girls standing by the round table looked at the boy and girl by the door with fierce gazes.

The girl looked around the hall like she came for sight seeing. She then looked at the people staring at them like they did something wrong.

"Are you sure we're at the right place Edgar?"

"Ofcourse."

"Sorry to come uninvited. I am Pinai and this is my partner Edgar. We're the new rulers of the demons taking over Gina and Carl who died from the hands of those you keep protecting. We came to inform you about our plans to break the human demon barrier soon. So prepare well and choose a side wisely. Cause we won't be merciful even though you're our kind."

"Who sent you?"

"You must be the leader. We came on our own free will. Nobody dares to command us. Well except my father."

"What's your intention for coming over? And why use those faces as disguise?"

The girl and the boy had a dumbfounded expression on. Weren't they listening? The boy took in a deep breath and spoke.

"Like she said it's just to notify you. And our faces, what are we supposed to look like?"

"I think being with the humans for long had affected their brains. Our work here is done. Let's go find that ruler that keeps making father look like an angry bulldog."

They turned around and prepared to leave.

From what they were saying, they might be looking for the ruler here. Which is the king. One of the boys threw his chains at them and tied them.

"O my."

They tried to break free but it wouldn't work. Rather, it started heating up.

"Who sent you?"

"You guys are really stubborn. No one sent us."

"Then why are you targeting the king?"

This time was one of the girls that spoke. They looked at her for a while and smiled.

"Look it's the girl whose picture father keeps staring at."

"I wander how he'll feel if we brought her."

Their leader, George, glared at them but didn't do anything. He just waved his hand and two other boys moved to Pinai and Edgar.

"I think this is the one Merlin said is the most reasonable?"

"Sort of. Are you Albert?"

"--"

"I'll take your silence as a yes. Our teacher asked us to find you and tell you that she's not dead. You'll know what to do."

The boy named Albert stared at Edgar not knowing what he meant. She's not dead?

"Who's not dead?"

"I don't know. I just passed the message. Now if you can just let us go. We have other people to meet."

"People?! You said it's just that ruler!"

"I did? Okay it's people."

"You.."

Pinai kept struggling with the chain. Her eyes flickered from blue to red over and over again until she finally broke the chain and pulled Edgar's hair.

The others immediately tried to catch them but with a snap of Pinai's finger they all fell down looking in extreme pain. George and Donald held the table for support and stood up.

"What did you do?"

"Don't worry they won't die. And even if they did I'll just send them back from the dead."

Pinai smiled and they disappeared.
