1 After The Massacre

[Konoha ]

{ Two days after the Kyuubi's attack }

It's only been two days but the damaged zones are mostly repaired and the village seemed as usual, as if nothing happened.

However, the same cannot be said about the people in this peaceful-seeming village, the fear, sadness and helplessness in every Konoha villager was so overwhelming that the whole ambiance of the village was suffocating.

Mitsuyuko still couldn't believe that she attended the 4th Hokage's and countless other victim's funeral just yesterday. The memory of the incident seemed distant yet it haunted her every everyday, every hour, every minute, every second.

She still remember looking at her brother's lifeless body as her sadness turned into hate, hate for the shinobi world that he belonged to, and especially hate towards that 9 tailed monster, that crimson devil who turned their peaceful village into a bloodbath.

Mitsuyuko was deep in thought as she looked at the list of recently orphaned children that were sent to her orphanage.

Among them, a certain name caught her attention.

' "Naruto?" Such an unusual name' She thought.

She then remembered the rumors that have been going around about how the Kyuubi's reaincarnation is an orphan from Konoha, they said that he even has whiskers like those of the Kyuubi .

'I think his name was also something like Naruto' She dreaded the very thought of that devil living in her orphanage with the children she considers her own.

'According to the list I have he's still receiving some medical treatment of sort'

[ The Sarutobi Clan mansion ]

"The seal is stable Hokage-sama" Said a figure wearing a white mask as it looked at a sleeping newborn laying on a table covered with different seals.

"Good." An old man clad in white traditional clothes said as he looked at the child with tender eyes that carry regret and melancholy.

"Take him to the orphanage and make sure his identity is kept secret"He ordered the masked figure before heading out of the room.

'It's the way I can completely protect your son from your enemies Minato.' He sighed as he thought about the deceased Fourth Hokage and his student's disciple.

It was no surprise that Minato has so many enemies as a powerful Kage-Level shinobu and one of the biggest pillars that support Konoha's place as one of the 5 Great Ninja Villages. Konoha's rivals and enemies would probably try their hardest to 'deal' with him before he becomes a second Minato.

'Such a pity he died so young.' He sighed again.

'Once the incident subside I will 'adopt' Naruto. By then people won't link the adopted son of the Third and the Fourth Hokage'

He has to do something about his hair though. Dye it ? Or is it better to use henge or a color changing seal ?

[ Konoha, 100 meters below the ground ]

Two emotionless young men suddently appeared next to a throne on which was sitting a relatively old vile-looking man.

" Danzo-sama, we have spread the information as per your order." They said respectfully, their paces and tone so similar that they could be mistaken a single person speaking.

"Make sure the rumour's origin is untraceable. You can go." Said the vile old man, Danzo.

"Yes Danzo-sama." They disappeared as suddenly as they appeared.

[ Konoha, marketplace]

"Did you hear the rumors that have been going around?" Asked a middle-aged woman a shop's clerk quietly as she bought some of his merchandise.

" About that demon's reaincarnation ?" Said the clerk, an old kimono clad man who is one of the most well-informed people in the village.

" So it's true ?" She put her hand on her mouth as fear and hate were apparent in her eyes.

"I believe it is. They say that it was one of the Fourth's loyal followers who broke the news. Apparently the demon was 'born' the day of the massacre." He tilted his head to both sides to check for any unwanted ears that may cause him trouble before delivering the shoking 'facts'.

"But don't say I told this to anyone, apparently the Third sent him to an orphanage. The Third is too kind for his own good. Even if it's a child, a demon is still a demon. Just watch as he grows up and bites the hands that had feeds him." The man whispered as quietly as possible.

The woman was shaken to the core, she didn't expect the truth to be something so outrageous.

'Bite the hand that feeds him'. This sentence suddenly filled her mind as alarm bells rang in her head.

'Quick!'

She had to warn her family and close ones before they get close to the monster.

The Hokage would soon know that plans for Naruto failed before they even starting...
