8 Chapter 8 - Entrance exam

"Next."

The person with glasses said as he wrote the name of the boy in front of luan's team.

'That guy who's taking The registration is in Qi gathering 5, why don't he just see our cultivation?' Thought luan.

The team stepped forward and the guy asked.

"Name?" He said nonchalantly.

"There are three of us. I'm Luan, she is Angela and this is Kai."

The person wrote their names as he looked at Kai with Intrest.

"Beast tamer? Those are rare."

"Yeah" He said with empty confidence.

"Here place your hand on this and we'll know your cultivation realm."

Luan did as he said and a light blue colour shinned from the ball.

"Qi gathering realm 2? At age 10? that's insane I didn't thought someone with that talent could come from the lower continent" he said as he looked at him with great interest.

But luan found it creepy and showed a disgusted face really quickly. It was Angela's turn and she did the same as luan. This time, the colour was a little bit lighter than luan's.

"Hmm, pretty good. You're in Qi gathering 1 that's amazing too, even considering the higher continent of the same age group"

As the person then gestured them to sit on the side of the arena. He didn't register Kai.

"Wouldn't Kai also register for a sect disciple?"

"Tamed beasts are not a part of the sect, they are the property of the person who tame them." He said as he registered the next participants.

"I see" Luan said as Kai sat close to them.

After a while when everyone was present on the place, the person went on the stage and said.

"Today you all have come to this place to register for the 10 flower sect. So we expect great results from each and everyone of you!" He exclaimed.

Although he didn't use his Qi to speak clearly, every single participant could hear him. There were a total of 1026 participant there waiting for what's to come.

Now we will hold a competition to decide who is worthy of joining our sect!"

"Come forth when your name is announced."

The competition was simple, the people will fight among others in a one on one fight and top 300 will have place in the sect. People who will win more the 3 out of 5 matches will win.There were people of age group between 10 to 20 and some were even in their 40s while Luan and Angela being the youngest. But other's cultivation was of no threat to them as only a few even reached the Qi gathering realm and they didn't had as much experience as the team.

"Match 94 Start!"

It was luan's time to fight, he wasn't nervous at all as his opponent was only in foundation establishment 4. The match finished in seconds as he used his Qi technique which he learned from the system to defeat his opponent. Luan made sure to hold back.

"What a beast! How can we even defeat someone in the Qi gathering?!"

"Match 95 start!"

It was now Angela's number, even she finished the match in seconds. Her opponent was also a person in foundation establishment 4. She holded back more than luan.

"Wh... Who are these people?! They are just defeating everyone in a few seconds!"

As expected, Luan and Angela won all 5 matches. And respectively became #1 and #2.

At the end of the day, everyone was tired except the two and some more people.

"Ok, ok, now everyone who won please get on this side." The person with glasses said as he gestured them to move to his side.

"This is non sense! Those guys we're beasts! how are we supposed to beat them in an one on one fight?!" A random person who was not satisfied with the results shouted at the guy.

"Oh? Did you not get selected?"

"Ye-Yeah! I am sure if we get another chance, we'll definitely win!"

"If you're not selected then you don't have a say in anything, so shut up"

The person said as looked at the people with cold eyes. Suddenly every single person felt intense fear from him as if their life didn't had any meaning in front of the superior being in front of them. Everyone got on their knees and started apologizing.

"P-Please spare us sir!! We have crossed our line this will never happen in the future"

"We're sorry forgive us!!"

Even luan and his team became terrified of the killing intent he emitted.

"Is this what a Qi Realm 5 can do?" His eyes widen as he looked at the person. He had a cold gaze as he looked at everyone. It didn't even seem he was one bit tired. The difference between their power was just 3 minor realms, but luan knew he couldn't defeat the guy.

"... Scary" Said Angela as she stepped behind luan. Kai did the same thing. Luan saw this and thought, 'One wrong move from me could be a catastrophe for them. I should never let my head get big because I'm killing weaker enemies.' He said as he looked at the guy, "He's not even the strongest person in this world, far from it, but he could still kill everyone here without sweat including us..."

Suddenly, the person withdraw his killing intent and everyone could breathe again.

"Now that you don't have any problem, let's go" He spoke as he looked at the 300 people behind him.

The people went outside the arena and opposite of where luan and the team came. They were going into the higher continent.

"It will take us 2 weeks to get there, we will have to use a carriage for the first week then the travel will be in ocean."

The person said as he looked at luan who was deep in thought as he looked at the people around.

"If you want something the do it. We have quite some time before we reach there."

Luan who was thinking came to the realization he was being watched by the person.

"Ah no, I was thinking if the sect will only recruit these many people?"

"Ohh so that's what you're thinking? To answer that, no there are 5 kingdoms including this and three hundred people from every single one of them will be selected. 1500 disciples in total."

"... I see" spoke luan as he went into thinking deeper.

This world had 2 continents in total, located in southern and northern hemisphere.The continent in the Northern hemisphere is called higher continent and vice versa. Two super powers dominated the higher continent. One of them being the 10 flowers guild and the other being the Divine Kingdom of Vazujdus.

The other kingdoms in the lower continent weren't strong enough to pose too much threat to any of them if they're alone. The three kingdoms in the lower continent were, The beast kingdom, The kingdom of elfs (Betania) and the kingdom of humans (Todi).

'Considering my progress in the past month, I'll probably be in the peak stage of the Qi gathering 2 even considering giving half of it to Angela.' Luan thought as he looked at Angela who was sitting with her legs crawled looking down, 'She has also been cultivating but her realm hasn't increased, all that Qi is going inside my dantian.'

Luan has noticed that when Angela cultivates, the Qi she gathers all goes to his dantian and when she uses the Qi, luan's Qi is consumed. That is because they are connected by a single dantian. Her realm wouldn't increase if luan didn't give her enough Qi.

'I'll give her 50% of the Qi I gather to help her.'

With this, the team started moving forward in the carriage, with the person with glasses sitting besides them. There were a total of 60 carriages and 5 people were in every carriage with the team's being the only exception with 3 people. Kai was of course walking.
