2 Chapter 2 gifts
The man pulled another file from his desk drawer and put it on the table. This file was different from all the other ones. For starters, it was black with a thin red line covering its edges, it had a big white stamp on its surface that looked like two angel wigs crossing each other on the frontend, and the file's name was written on its backside. [Rule of engagement for unfortunate souls].
Nero couldn't help himself from cringing at the weird name of the file. He thought [just how many times did this happens for them to have an engagement protocol on standby].
The man flipped through the pages of the file looking for something. After a while of nothing but the sound of papers flipping from one side to the other, he stopped at a specific page. he found what he was looking for, he removed the page from the file and placed it in front of Nero. It had a big Black Handprint on one side and white blank on the other side.
[The man] "I need you to put your dominant hand forward please" he said politely
[Nero] "Why???" he asked suspiciously.
[The man] "There is no need to be alarmed Mr. Nero just places your hand on the printed place of the paper and you will see for yourself" he said with a smile
Nero had nothing to lose at this point so he complied with the man's demand. He placed his right hand over the palm print. The pepper started to glow with a bright white light. Nero had to close his eyes to protect himself from the intense light. After five seconds or so the light started to fade slowly.
[Nero] {What the hell was that} he thought.
After the light completely faded away the man yanked the paper from underneath Nero's hand and started to look through it vigorously.
[The man] "Oh holy boy!! Those are some pretty high stats!!" he said somewhat dramatically.
[Nero] "My, what is high now??!!" he said confused.
[The man] "The paper I hand to you is called the "analysis paper". It reads the potential, life force, luck, and karma and then displays them in an alphabetical score value."
[The man] "Normally when cases like yours happen we use this paper to evaluate the value of the sole. The higher your score is the better reassignment points you get to acquire at the [Reassignment Machine]...."
The man was starting to talk faster and faster until it became hard to follow what he is saying.
[Nero] "Dude yow!!! Can you slow down!! That is just way too much exposition all at once"
[The man] "Sorry about that sometimes even I get lost in my bantering explanations" he said apologetically
[The man] "Can you follow me" he said getting up from his desk.
Walking up to one of the walls on the side he taped his finger three times on it. All of a sudden a door appeared out of nowhere on that wall which surprised Nero. He then opened the door and signal to Nero to fallow him. complying with Nero's complainants this time around he started to explant things to him a little slower.
[The man] "The displacement of soles like you happens a lot lately due to some management problems. Using the analysis paper we evaluate the value of their souls. Using the values on the analysis paper we allocate them points through the [Reassignment Machine]"
[The man] "The [Reassignment Machine] is a machine that uses the analysis paper's average value and converts them to a numerical value. In the form of [Reassignment Points]. This {points} are used so you could get gifts. Depending on the number of {points} you can all most get anything"
[The man] "The machine works like a slot machine from your old world for the most part. It mainly has two slots [The world Slot] and [The Gift Slot]."
The whole while the man was talking he was also leading Nero through a small hallway. They continuing walking until they reached another wall. He again tapped the wall three times and a door appeared again. When they walked into the room Nero saw a big plasma screen like thing hooked to many big wires.
[The man] "And we are here this is the [reassignment machine] Mr. Nero" he said gesturing to the plasma screen.
Nero was a little overwhelmed with all this new information coming at him at the same time. This whole thing could just be a dream that he could wake up from any moment. Maybe this was just elaborate ploy designed by his subconscious. {I mean this couldn't be real right} he thought.
[The man] "Ah!! Are you okay Mr. Nero??" he said seeing the somber look on Nero's face.
[Nero] "It is just too much to take it all of this in, at the same time," he said sighing
[The man] "You can take all the time you want Mr. Nero" he said consulting.
[Nero] {So this is all real ha, and this is just like those novels I read. [Sigh] Well if I am starting a new life, might as well do it with style} he thought.
[Nero] "So how does this thing work???" he asked
The man walked up to the machine holding Nero's analysis paper. And said
[The man] "Oh, it is fairly very easy. You just have to put the analyses paper on the scanner and all the value will be converted to a numerical score which is the amount of {Reassignment Points] you will be getting. You will be using the opens on the [World slot] and [Gift slot]."

Nodding to what the man said Nero waked up to the machine and stared at it for a while. Even though he was trying so hard to trying to keep a calm demeanor outside he was freaking out on the inside. It is one thing reading about it and another thing experiencing it yourself.
He walked to the screen and taped the world slot. He wanted to try his luck first ad see what world he will end up in so he chose to use [1RP point] On the world slot.

You could never tell who is a threat. It all depends on the circumstances.
