83 Dropping

With every word Bree said, Enzo raised his head facing Bree's who was still embracing him tightly. He gradually lifted his arms to hug her back, "I don't think I have ever told you this, Bree. In this life I still was not your brother, I was you in our past life," he confessed.

She held his shoulders with her hands, and pushed him away, "What do you mean? What do you mean you are me?"

"I still am not your brother, Bree. Our fate did not change. I think it switched. You originally were my... fiancée who lived with us since birth. In this life, I am the fiancé to one of the 2 girls: You or Ami. And I think it was already chosen the day before I and Nixon came here. Mother called me and told me... It again was you, Bree. You again are my fiancée. I don't think this life is going anywhere different than the last one. Maybe our fate is not changing..."

Bree's eyes filled with confusion, " You're my fiancé..." She stabilized her body by putting her hands against the floor before she carried her body higher to stand. Enzo looked at her from down, "Bree..."

"NO! NOO!!" she screamed while clinging to the side of the long skirt she had on, "This can't be true... You're not dying before me. I'm not allowing this to happen." With all force, she stepped out of her place. The heels she wore on her feet tapped loudly. She ran out of the room, "YOU WILL LIVE, AND I TAKE THIS UPON MY SOUL!"

"AH... AAAAAH, AAAAH" He who felt mistreated by his own fate again cried his soul out. His hands collected together to cover his face. He bowed on the cold glassy ground. His calls for help rose with every minute; he cried for their life to be a different one. What could fate really be to them?

.

"Do I help him?" I questioned my attempt to Alden.

"I'll do it."

Alden walked to Enzo and hocked his arms with Enzo's. "Stand, Enzo... Come and sit on a chair at least. you can't be lying here for the whole night..."

"huh, I can't?"

"Of course you can't. Now, stand with me. Take it slowly if your legs feel weak."

He pulled his hand to grab my Dream Box from his side. Lowell approached him and took the box, "You take care of yourself first, stupid."

Enzo's powerful legs failed him for the first time in his life. He balanced his body on Alden's as they walked to the table's chair. His feet slid for he lost all means of sensation in them. Alden turned to the opposite side of the chair so Enzo could sit. With a fainting voice, he asked Lowell to place the box on the table.

"All that he left in the hole was the box... I don't have the key to its lock."

Alden touched his neck, then pulled out a vintage golden key attached to his necklace from under his shirt, "I have it... Bacia it's this key, right?"

I nodded my head in agreement.

Without hesitation, Alden placed the key inside it's sealed lock. A lock I had asked Loyal to craft my name on with the same mesmerizing engravements the Golden House embraced.

"Click" the box open. Inside the box was Arthur's book, my diamond ring, and an old worn-out picture of us. The first picture we had all taken together in Asami's sunflower garden on the same day she, Asami, arrived. Alden placed all three items on the table horizontally. We all glared at the memories those things stamped on each of us.

"Could we use this book to change this life?"
