2 Chapter 1: Mother, Birth, and innate ability.
Some time, in the womb;
Edward's time continued to pass while he was in the womb. growing, meditating, and thinking.
Months passed, and he was already close to coming out as a fresh newborn baby.
He already felt the undulations and the walls contracting and pushing him to the light.

Hospital;
"AHHH! COME OUT!"
A beautiful red-haired young woman was lying on the bed screaming, grabbing the man's hand next to her, almost crushing it.
"You're doing great honey, just a bit more, just a bit more,"
The man next to her is soothing her quietly, whispering to her ears in-between her screams.
The woman's face contorts greatly, her face an unnatural red, and gives her final push,
*Pop!*
*Slap!*
"Waaaaa!"
In a while, a cute baby's cry rings out, echoing through-out the hospital's operation room.
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Ashford, you've got a healthy boy!"

Operation room;
Bright! Too bright! Too Loud!
That's what baby Edward was thinking when he came out.
After that painful slap on his butt and embarrassing cry, he was handed to his mother who was looking at him warmly with her deep blue eyes, finally calming him down.
"He's got your eyes, honey."
"Yes, and baby Eddie will be as strong and healthy as me, hubby. I just know it."
Charles Ashford raised an eyebrow, staring at his wife's eyes,
"You already decided on his name?"
"Mhmm, I wanted to name him Alexander at first, but Eddie suits him better."
Marley Ashford was grinning widely, love and expectation coming out of her eyes.
Baby Edward, Now baby Eddie closed his eyes and went to sleep at that sight of his mother, satisfied.

1 Year, North of Raccoon City, Home.

Marley Ashford is mature and responsible since young. She had been a troublemaker when she was little, but she matured through taking care of her little sister. At school, she took care of her classmates and kept them in line; the children listened to her, their parents loved her, she quickly became popular. She took part-time jobs babysitting the kids and taking care of the elders in the neighborhood through her highschool years. She became the big sister of her part of town through the years.
When Marley graduated from university, she aimed at becoming a doctor of umbrella corporation, it was an ideal job. Caring for others, it became an instinct in her life.
Unfortunately, they rejected her, so she aimed for the next best thing; a doctor's assistant, and succeeded. There, she met Charles Ashford; A wheel-chaired, but handsome and smart young man. They spent three years working together, then married, finally giving birth to the baby boy Eddie.
Marley stared down at her boy, thinking about him, while inwardly sighing. He was a lively boy since his birth, swinging his arms and calling out to them whenever he sees them watching him. When he became 2 months old, children his age would barely be able to sit up, but he started crawling and already said his first words. When he became 4 months old, he started taking his first steps and already talking fluently. They were naturally happy and proud of him, although he took up the habit of throwing things around every 2 seconds. It was alright for them, he grew quickly and they were happy to have a healthy boy, until his sixth month.
During his sixth month, she woke up to find Eddie taking on unnatural red skin, and was burning hot. Naturally, she checked on his body and concluded that he got a high fever. She took care of him for a few days, and looked up several symptoms of his; he is as lively as ever, the quantity of food he intakes increased 10 times, his size is increasing several millimeters every few hours, most importantly; his fever is not going down. She immediately called her husband, informing him of her baby's condition, and he immediately came back. He first checked on his condition, then took them down a basement she didn't know they actually had. In that basement, she recognized the numerous medical machines from Umbrella, except with higher technology. Efficiently, he took a few scans of her son, and concluded that her son is in some state of a growth spurt, and he needs more nutrition to get back to normal. In the next few days, they did not notice any other abnormalities. they felt relieved, but aware that their son was not normal. They both agreed to keep this incident a secret.
Now that six months passed from that incident, nothing much changed except for his increasing demand of nutrient filled milk, and his look of a 3 year old child. Still, she needs to watch out for him.
'But, ahhh! Why's he growing so quickly?!'
She's thinking that while still staring really hard at the boy.
"..."
"Come on Eddie, let's get you some appropriate toys!"
"Y-yahh!"
Marley took her son out of the house for the first time.

Eddie's mood has been relatively good so far; he had been reborn, with a super cheat of an innate talent too.
The talent that awakened within his soul is quite similar to one of the most overpowered main characters of the novels he read in his past life; the talent of the protagonist Lin Sheng of the novel 'Way of the Devil'.
He's not sure if he got the same talent as Lin Sheng, but he knows that his own talent is one that allowed one to advance directly to the next level of something one has knowledge of, in case of martial arts; advance it and apply it directly to his body. If he feeds the talent soul force, it could work like a super computer and deduce the next level on its own, going beyond the complete technique and creating something anew. It is very broken and considered a cheat, therefore he named it 'Devil's cheat'.
Since he got that talent, he has been worried about the world he reincarnated in. He kept on getting insecure, and devised a light method to train his newly born body.
He kept on moving as much as he can, eat as much as he could, and expand his six senses as much as he could; which resulted to his parents giving out weird eyes as they stared at him while he yelled, stayed still, run, & thrown various stuff at the walls.
He didn't know what kind of world he reincarnated in; He knows that he reincarnated in an another version of earth from their language, but if it is in a version of a horrifying world filled with ghosts, demons, and gods like Lin Sheng, he would definitely, surely, 100% die without preparing for it. Hell, even Lin Sheng survived that far in the novel mostly with luck.
He also did not know martial arts, all he knew was brawling and kicking; Add in to that fact that this is Earth with a few or none of internal martial artists, he would be insta-dead in the eyes of any ghost.
Eventually, he kept on theorizing until he came to a conclusion and decided what to advance with his cheat;

Blood Enhancement Lv 10: Endurance +1.0, Vitality +1.0, Intelligence +1.0, Strength +1.0, Agility +1.0.

He believes that foundation is the thing that produces potential, without it, there would be no potential to hang on to.
A body's essence is its cells, he bet on that as long as he enhanced them, the body would upgrade on its own. he bet right.
He had his knowledge as a former doctor, and used it to create the path for his blood cells to get enhanced. Although blood cells would only promote 0.1 of the body's attributes a level, it would be an upgrade on all aspects of the body.
The massive nutrients needed to upgrade his blood cells were replaced by soul force, and all he had to do was to eat a lot of food to minimize the repercussions of the rest of his body.
He was lucky he swallowed the other souls in the void; without them, he wouldn't have dared to use his cheat so early on and got so much soul force to prepare for the future.
Unfortunately, he did not foresee that his body upgrading would be so obvious; he freaked out his parents and they scanned his body with crazy sci-fi equipment. Luckily, his upgrade was only of the first few levels and they only found that his metabolism increased.
He also found out a crucial information of this world and his outing with his mother only confirmed it.
This world is Resident Evil.
