Chapter 43

(POV Protagonist. Time: 5 days later. Place: Somewhere far away from the army of "Forged")
I have been fighting alongside Tyr and Odyn for days. It has not been easy to defeat Ragnaros with my current body, in fact, quite the opposite. But this is a good thing, because I've learned a bit of teamwork.

Of course, I still have a lot to improve in this area, but my battle experience allows me in a way to adapt more easily to the situation. That's why this body is more oriented to attack and defense than agility, since I'm supposed to represent a "Paladin", well, a "Dragon Paladin" ...

-The most frustrating thing about this battle is the constant interference from the other Elemental Lords. They just keep the attacks coming, forcing the "Guardians" to stop and focus on defense. This way the Elemental Lords can continue to charge their attacks and maintain retaliation.

-On the other hand, the elementals and elemental princes are engaged in battle against the "Forged". After they finished destroying the dark army of the small citadel they were attacking.

-Ughh, that hurt.
At some point, one of Ragnaros' blows had connected with my side. Ragnaros' blows kept coming again and again, proving that his mace technique had improved.
-Resisting the will of the "Elemental Lords" in their attacks tires me. Although, on the other hand, only physical damage can cause me some kind of damage. Otherwise, my body is practically immune to elemental damage.
Soon I was able to cut Ragnaros on his arm, causing a wound on his fiery body. All due to my sword, which consumed his energy and element, draining him little by little with each cut and feeding me instead.
"Argh!"
We had been trading blow for blow for days. But luckily for me...
*BOOM*
"Aargh, die bugs!"
He was not alone in this struggle.
-I can see how little by little Ragnaros is declining. Soon we will be able to defeat him. Once we do that we can end this long fight once and for all.

But before we could continue attacking, the earth vibrated and multiple lightning bolts struck everyone. And before we knew it, Ragnaros had escaped, teleporting to the battle of Therazane.
*BOOM*
"Aaaarg"
Ragnaros had managed to deliver a blow from behind to "Archaedas". This was thanks to his sudden fire teleportation...
- Why didn't I think of it before...?
Soon, however, a healing wave completely cured "Archaedas". This thanks to "Freya", who was next to "Archaedas" and who possessed many abilities related to healing.
But now two Elemental Lords were together, so they were momentarily at an advantage and Archaedas and Freya at a disadvantage, due to their elemental disadvantage. Even more so considering the damage Ragnaros could inflict on their stone body.
*BOOM* X10
And of course, Ragnaros did not miss the opportunity to cause large amounts of damage to his enemies, forcing Archaedas and Freya to try to defend themselves. Although failing in the process, as the fire lord had prepared this attack to cause a great explosion of fire.
"Aaaargh" X2
-I have to put an end to this at once. Playing the battle of attrition is not opportune, considering the great ability of the Elemental Lords to coordinate and help each other. They learn too quickly, and at this rate one of the "Guardians" will most likely end up seriously wounded.
With that in mind, I didn't take a moment longer to speed up and crash into Ragnaros, preventing him from unleashing another attack on the 2 wounded "Guardians".

My strength and the speed at which I was going generated a great impact, pushing Ragnaros and creating distance.

But soon large spikes of earth tried to break through us, at the same time some mountains formed, collapsing on top of us. Without much choice I simply grabbed the 2 wounded "Guardians" and quickly moved away.
Once I was a good distance away from Ragnaros and Therazane, I left them to allow them to recover quickly.
"I'll give them time so they can recover."
I said, looking both Archaedas and Freya in the eye.
"I won't manage to hold them off for long, so you must quickly join Tyr and Odyn in helping me."
They simply nodded.
"Okay... I have a plan, but I need you to get Therazane and Ragnaros' attention back on you 4. Please tell Tyr and Odyn as soon as you are here."
Without waiting for them to respond, I quickly accelerated against Therazane and Ragnaros.
*BOOM* X15
The collision pushed Ragnaros away and sent him towards Therazane. Crashing into each other.
-I'm glad I practiced my aim. *Laughter*
"Ragnaros, I hope you enjoy that intimate contact *laughter*."
"Traitor, how dare you!"
"Stop talking and come and fight, I'm already bored listening to you."
And before Ragnaros could respond, I synced up with what I'm sure he would say.
"Feel my wrath!"x2
And at that moment, Ragnaros saw me and I felt his surprise, which turned into even more anger and hatred.
"Traitor!" x2
"Hahaha, you're too easy, Ragnaros."
I said as we collided again.
*BOOM* X20
"But this time."
I said and turned my gaze to Therazane, who was raising peaks and mountains around me.
"I won't be easy."
*BOOM*
And we crossed our weapons again, only this time I had a move to make. So using one of the tentacles on my back, I took the opportunity to insert it into his chest and began to drain his elemental energy. Although now I had to deal with the full weight of Ragnaros' will.
"Argh"
Then 8 more joined in. Creating an even bigger hole and causing lava to flow from his chest.
"AAARGH"
"Feel the pain, Ragnaros."
His cry of pain drew the attention of Al'Akir and Therazane, who tried to help, but that's what I expected. So I quickly moved away in Therazane's direction, intending to use my weapon to penetrate her chest.

Therazane managed to defend herself with her mace, for the mountain she had raised in defense was easily pierced by my charge.
"Sorry for what I'm about to do, "Mother Pétrea", but it will soon get better."
"Traitor, you..."
I did not give her a chance to ask. Taking advantage of her momentary state of confusion, I had wielded my sword in such a way that she lost his mallet and his hands stopped protecting her chest. So I took the opportunity to suddenly increase my speed and thrust the sword into her chest.
"AAARRGH"
Therazane's cry, coupled with that of Ragnaros, had caused Neptulon and Al'Akir to attempt to approach, only to fail in the attempt, as the "Guardians" using their magic and abilities, managed to prevent them from being able to help.
"Don't worry "Mother Pétrea" I won't kill you, I just need you away from the conflict for a moment."
So, looking her in the eye, I lowered the sword. From her chest to her stomach a large fissure could be seen in her.
"!ARRRGH!"

A sudden big explosion sent me rolling away from Therazane.
-Ugh... I was distracted by Therazane's pain.
"Traitor, you'll pay for this!"
Without paying attention to his words, I quickly devoured the fire that was trying to consume my body due to my momentary state of daze.
-Dealing with two great wills quickly and relentlessly will surely take its toll on me....
I got up slowly and using my light I healed the damage to my body. With a smile I said to Ragnaros.
"Did you not like being consumed, Ragnaros?"
"You dirty, treacherous insect."
"I am no longer beneath you Ragnaros. I am no longer beneath any of you 4. I am now an opponent you should respect and fear. What you think of as betrayal I see as revenge. You mocked me for my weakness, but now you will not be able to do so again."
I said to Ragnaros staring into his eyes.
"*Laughter* What's more, you can no longer prevent me from mocking you now, Ragnaros. That I mock your weakness. For now before me, you are "WEAK."
With a big smile I said to Ragnaros.
-I am no longer the "Minion" who must plan in fear and act obediently so as not to lose power.
As I thought like this, I could feel my emotions as well as my pride rising.
-Now I am truly powerful.
And as I got deeper into those emotions, I heard something.
#Now you can be the one they kneel before. You can be the one they fear and obey. Just devour them and become who you are truly meant to be.....
- Who am I meant to be?

"Watch out!"

A warning came to me, but the series of attacks fell on me first, as I was distracted thinking and listening.
The attacks hit me suddenly and unprepared, so they quickly wrecked my body.
"You will always be a treacherous little "Minion." Nothing will change that, nothing!"
This body had not died, but I had lost my limbs and only part of my upper torso and head remained.
"*Cough* Hehe, how interesting that you think so. *Cough* Because I don't care what you think about me, Ragnaros. You're just one of the 4, without the help of the others... *cough* You're weak. *Laughter*"
"May the fire purify you!"

But the attack was blocked.
And as I coughed from the piece of stone that pierced my throat, soon the "Guardians" appeared. They all watched me momentarily, but had to continue fighting Ragnaros and Therazane. Tyr stayed for a moment.
-I suppose you may be concerned about my last words.
But before Tyr could say anything, I said.
"*Tos* Don't worry buddy. If you manage to distract *cough* Ragnaros and Therazane *cough* for a moment *cough* I'll be fine... Just give me a moment."
"I'll handle it."
Tyr said in a confident voice. He looked confident and ready for anything.
-Just how a paladin should look. *sigh*. The voices still affect me in this light form, I still have a lot of room for improvement. I cannot allow myself to fall to the darkness, I cannot allow myself to lose control, even if it is to my own pride. I am still weak, I still must plan to obtain the blessings of the "Titans".
*Sigh*

As I watched the "Guardians" again face the "Elemental Lords", I just thought.
-For now I am weak, and I will remain so if I cannot control myself. All the power I possess, only to be distracted by my own vanity at a critical moment. *laughter*.
*Sigh*
-Now that I know my mistake I can improve, I just have to focus. I will achieve anything, I just have to try and try hard.
Soon my body began to regenerate rapidly.
-I'm tired, I hope to finish this soon.
As soon as I was whole again, I summoned my sword with a thought. It had fallen far after the explosion, but it quickly returned to me.
-Then let's put the plan into action.
"I will initiate the plan!"
I shouted. I could feel his emotions of doubt.
-Well, in the end they really don't have any plans and it's time to tilt this in our favor.
So, without waiting for an answer, I took flight and disappeared into the clouds.

(POV Tyr, "Guardian")
As soon as I saw the fight between Ragnaros and our ally, the hatred was evident. But as we battled together I understood that this warrior was someone who fought alone. His movements and tactics were good, but his lack of experience in fighting with allies was evident.
As time passed, our ally began to improve in that aspect. But I could still see his great accumulated hatred as he fought. Throughout our fights I noticed his effort to get the attention of the elemental lords and receive the attacks. Many times they were helpful in lowering the pressure the rest faced, for which I am grateful. He was a brave warrior, willing to help with all his effort.
I soon watched as he ran to defend 2 of my brothers from an attack by Ragnaros, who had fled our fight, joining the earth elemental. Then depositing them in a safe place, thwarting the combined attack of both Elemental Lords.
Then he began to fight alone against the 2 Elemental Lords. With all the actions he had done so far, I could understand that this being was good. Although he was constantly called "Traitor" by the Elemental Lords, which made us distrustful of our new ally.
As we approached Freya and Archaedas, we heard that apparently our new ally had a plan. Although apparently we were only supposed to keep the Elemental Lords busy... As we got closer to where they were fighting, I could see for a moment the darkness radiating from our ally. We were all struck by watching as his white light gradually dimmed, releasing shadows from his being.
But I held out hope that our ally would overcome this situation. Although we soon saw that it stopped moving. Increasing even more the darkness that radiated. Moment that was quickly taken advantage of by our enemies, so I only had time to try to warn him.
"Watch out!"
But it was too late and his body was hit and shattered by multiple attacks. We quickly approached and as soon as we saw that Ragnaros would attack again, we realized that he might still be alive.
"Block him," I said.
*BOOM* X10
The attack had been blocked by Archaedas, in a timely manner. And as soon as we approached we could see what was left of his being.
The rest had to continue fighting, but I was left wondering if this would be the end of our new ally and if he would say any last words. Although it didn't last long yet, I could appreciate his help in this conflict. But before I could say anything to him, he said.
"*Tos* Don't worry buddy. If you manage to distract *cough* Ragnaros and Therazane *cough* for a moment *cough* I'll be fine... Just give me a moment."
I was relieved to know that he could recover, knowing how far he was willing to go in order to help us. So I confidently told him.
"I'll handle it."
And I left to face Ragnaros with Odyn.
It wasn't long before our ally, now fully recovered, told us.
"I will initiate the plan!"
Although none of us knew what he would do. So we hesitated, and from one moment to the next he left for heaven. And although I could feel a certain sense of betrayal from others, I kept my faith in him.
-I have seen how this warrior fights and I am sure he will not run away.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, he's gone, he's left them too!"
Soon Ragnaros began to taunt us.
"Now you know you can't trust a traitor, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha."
"We are more than enough to beat them."
I said with conviction.
-It doesn't matter if he really left, this has always been our struggle. But, even so, I know he didn't betray us.

I want to briefly explain the reason for the survey on the number of members in the "Harem" that I made.
First of all, it wasn't a vote. I just wanted to know how many women you would prefer the MC to have on his side and who they would be. That doesn't mean that there will actually be that many or anything like that.
I must tell you that so far only 2 characters are confirmed to be with the MC, 1 of which is "Elune" because of the "vote" that was held and everyone wanted. As for the other character, you just have to wait a little longer and you will know who she is.
I have no plans for the MC to have 7 women by his side or anything like that. Partly because it would be too complicated to write such a number and partly because as many have said, the personalities of the important women in the WOW universe are very strong and independent. There is just no easy way to add them to a Harem, possibly not even caring about having a real relationship... Anyway, my point is that the harem survey was out of my curiosity and not because I was going to make it happen. Also, I was also looking to get some ideas using your arguments on who should be a part of it and why. I thank you all for participating in that.
