38 Chapter 38

(WARNING: This chapter is more of an explanation and account of some events that occurred prior to the arrival of the Titans in this novel. More explanations throughout this chapter and an "important" explanation in the author's notes).

(POV Unknown - Time: ¿? - Place: ¿?)

(Narration)

In the beginning of time, even before the cosmos existed, there was only Light. Light existed as an ocean of unrestricted, ever-changing, living energy. However, as some of its energies faded and dimmed, pockets of cold nothingness were created. From the absence of Light in these spaces a new power emerged. This was the Void, a dark, vampiric force driven to devour all energy, to twist creation inward to feed on itself. The Void grew rapidly and began to move against the Light, and before long, the growing tension between the two forces ignited a series of explosions that tore at the very fabric of creation, giving birth to the physical universe....

...

(Author's Note: I must deeply apologize to all of you, but in my lack of knowledge about English, I would like you to help me "edit" this chapter. If you want and you can, could you point out how I can make this "POV" according to the idea of the one who speaks has no specific gender. The translator translated this as male and female because the text doesn't make the gender clear... If you can help me to correct it so that it is understood that the speaker does not have a specific gender, I would be very grateful ^^. )

(POV Figure of Darkness - Time: ¿? - Place: ¿?)

I was born at some point. I was born aware of my existence, even though I did not know who I was. I saw the emptiness around me and the deep darkness of this place as my home and my being.

I wandered aimlessly for an indeterminate amount of time. Until I felt something strange in the darkness, something different. A dot so small, that I could only realize its existence because of how different it was from the rest of the darkness I saw around me.

I felt that point in the distance calling me, and in my curiosity I moved in its direction.

...

I don't know how long it took me, but it was a long, long time before I could start to notice the spot growing.

Every time I got closer I could distinguish it more. Rays of it's existence expanded and furrowed in the empty darkness.

...

When I came even closer, I noticed that the rays expanding from that large point were larger. So I stretched out part of my being, and as I touched it, I felt the warmth it radiated... But I also saw how my being gradually faded in its presence.

I was horrified to see part of me vanish, so I quickly moved away. As soon as I did, I recovered and could see again the part that had been lost in the rays of that warm presence.

But now I felt it was calling me louder than before. So great was the feeling, so strong was its call, that I decided to come even closer. Although evading, the increasingly numerous warm rays that crept into my darkness.

...

As I approached, I could see how the rays of it's existence expanded everywhere, until they were lost in the dark void. The sight was beautiful and fascinating. But now the small dot was immense, even though I was bigger.

...

I reached a point where I could not get any closer. A large amount of it's warm existence divided everything into 2. The huge, empty and cold darkness, and it's small, bright and warm existence.

Even when I couldn't get close, I could feel it's call. It was asking louder and louder for my presence, it wanted me to come closer. So I hesitated.

...

I hesitated for a long time. I feared I would fade away as I approached, for it warm presence could make me disappear. Something in me told me that I should stay away and wait for the moment when it existence would be smaller, only then I could approach it without fear.

And as soon as I started to walk away, I could feel it's call, only this time was different. I felt a strange sensation that stopped me.

I didn't understand what this feeling was, but I didn't like it. It was strange, different from the comfortable coldness of the darkness and the warmth of the presence calling me. So I stood there, trying to understand what this new feeling was.

...

A long time passed and it´s call to me continued. The feeling would not go away and I was in great doubt. If I approached its existence, its warmth would embrace me and that would be the end of me. If I moved away, I could continue to contemplate its radiance and feel its warmth at my pleasure, although I would also feel its continued call and this uncomfortable feeling I have.

So I looked closely at what I called "Light" and waited, contemplating what I would do next.

...

As time went on, it's call felt more and more different. I understood at some point, that this thing I was feeling hurt me. The pain I felt, was now greater than the fear of fading away, so I decided to take a chance and soothe this pain, the pain that the light emitted.

So, with much fear, I took my first step into it's world, the world that the "light" illuminated. I felt its warmth again and watched as I slowly faded into its presence. But still I continued, for it hurt me more to walk away than to watch my own disappearance.

I resisted with all I could so as not to disappear, stretching the dark void in my path. But, even so, it didn't take long before it could no longer see me, now everything was it's light and I could only feel his warmth. And the closer I got to the core of it's being, the stronger the warmth became, the stronger it's presence... and it's call.

...

At some point, it's warmth was too much for me, but it continued to call out to me, almost desperately screaming for me to come closer.

With all the pain that it's scream brought me and the condition of my being, which was getting weaker and weaker, continue.

...

When I was finally at the source of it's call, everything changed. I could now clearly hear it's call.

"Don't leave me alone, please."

I kept repeating the same thing over and over again.

"Please."

It's plea fueled my pain. So I did what I felt... and hugged it.

I understood that it was always calling me with those words. Now I really understood that what I was feeling was it's pain. Something in me had made me take a risk until I could no longer see myself, I had vanished... However, soon something incredible happened.

I could see myself again, though now I was only a shadow of the great darkness I once was, but that was not all, for I also saw the being I was embracing. It was like me, just a spark of the great light it once was, though I kept seeing it smaller. It was embracing me just as I was, and from it's being I could finally feel relief and peace.

*SIGH*

I just smiled at these two new emotions. They were so great, that just like this shining being, I fell asleep in our embrace.

(POV The Voice)

(Narration)

... that gave rise to the physical universe, "The Great Darkness Beyond".

The cataclysmic birth of the cosmos sent fragments of fractured Light flying through the cosmos, permeating the newly formed planets of the universe with the spark of life and giving rise to innumerable life forms, the most common of which were the primordial elementals. From time to time, these fragments of Light would gather and form clouds of Light from which powerful beings emerged, among them the benevolent "Naaru".

(Image of a Naaru, Here)

The most unstable energies created by the cosmic explosions merged into an astral dimension known as "The Twisting Nether" or "The Endless Void".

Light and Void collided and bled at the edges of this realm, throwing it into chaos. Their energies would give birth to the first demons. "The Twisting Nether" or "The Endless Void" is the only place "#$%#&#$$....

Although "The Twisting Nether" or "The Endless Void" existed outside the boundaries of the physical universe, its volatile energies occasionally tore the veil of "The Great Darkness," flooding reality and warping creation.

(Image of "The Endless Void" and "Demons", Here)

The Titans are one of the most powerful creations of the cosmos. They are colossal divine beings made of the primordial matter from which the universe itself was born. Imbued with the pure power of creation itself, they roam the cosmos as wandering worlds.

World soul, sometimes world soul. It is the name given to the powerful and nascent soul of a "Titan". The first and most vulnerable stage of a titan's life. World souls originate as masses of energy that spread out into the Great Darkness Beyond. The soul sleeps for years within the fiery core of the planet, flooding the planet with its energies as generations of living beings live and die on it, before finally awakening as a living world.

(Image of a sleeping "World Soul", Here)

"Aman'Thul" was the first titan to awaken from his slumber, though no one knew how or why the first titan awakened. He was alone in "The Great Darkness," but he knew in his heart that other titans must exist, so he set out to explore the myriad worlds of the universe in search of others of his kind. In time, he discovered other nascent world souls and lovingly cared for them until they awakened and joined him in his travels. Eventually, "Aman'Thul" and his brethren became known as the "Pantheon," and in the early ages of the universe they ordered and reshaped countless worlds in hopes of finding other titans.

(End of Narration)

"Is this how the whole universe begins?" (A Small Voice)

"This is how this magical universe is born" (The Voice).

"And what's next?" (Another small voice).

"What do you want to know?" (The Voice)

"I want to know what's going on with the Naaru" (a small voice).

"I want to know what happens to the demons" (Another small voice).

"Better tell us what's going on with the Titans - what has the "Pantheon" done?" (Some other small voice)

"*Laughter* All right, I'll tell you about all three. But how should we choose which one first?" (The Voice)

"Me, me first..." (A small voice)

"No!, me first!" (Some other small voice).

"You have only spoken about the "beings of light", you should now tell us about the "beings of darkness", such as demons." (Another small voice)

"*Laughter* But there are even more beings of darkness besides demons" (The Voice).

"Really, which ones, please tell me, I want to know" (some other small voice).

"*cough*All right. Since your explanation has been very logical and the others seem curious, I will talk about the dark beings." (The Voice)

"Yes!" (Another small voice)

"Very well, listen. I will speak about those whom the 'beings of light' face with devotion, those beings whom the demons fear, those who are the cause of great betrayal. I will speak about the dreaded "Lords of the Void" and their dark plans..." (The Voice)

...

(POV Protagonist - Time: 300,350 Years after the revenge - Place: The top of some great mountain on the surface of the earth)

-Meditating always brings me some peace. It helps me to face my fears, doubts and this suffering that eats me up inside.

*SIGH*

-But what brings me the most peace is this beautiful view. As much as darkness and corruption have taken over this world, I can still clean it up for a while. In my presence, clearing a few miles of air and earth is easy. Then I will be able to observe the majestic starry sky and the moons of this world.

"Thank you, Elune. Thank you for painting this silver night. It is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen..."

-I don't know if she hears me, but it doesn't matter. The sight, the color, the peace I feel when I observe all this is enough to make me want to thank her for her existence. It is partly thanks to her that I am able to witness this and I lose nothing by thanking her.

Although I know that maybe, no, most likely I want to talk to someone. Although Elune never speaks to me, she always seems to answer me on beautiful full moon nights, bathed in silver light and adorned with glittering gemstones.

*SIGH*

And so I stayed, placidly watching the moon and the sky. Lying down and curled up, trying to feel some kind of warmth with my own body. Trying to fill some emptiness... the emptiness that this beautiful sight caused me and I would surely want to share... with someone.

Author's Note: Chapter Edited thanks to the help of "DragonkingKyo"y "SnowmanOfEternity". Thanks for your help and patience. ^^

If anyone else find any problem with the texts, don't hesitate to ask me and I'll do my best to explain everything. ^^

Before you decide that this chapter is no good, you should know that I didn't plan on posting anything, why, not because I'm going to stop writing or anything, just that I need more information about the titans and what happened. That's why I want to listen to some videos I watched some time ago. I wish to refresh my memory about some facts.....

I don't plan to continue the story without first seeing them and listening to some audios about the titans. I don't plan to make any mistakes on this and would rather you wait and update what you might consider "filler" before I update something that might not be true.

On the other hand. Yes I plan to make the MC affect the world, but you must wait, this takes time, so I ask you to be patient. Anyway, these "filler" chapters have "substance" XDDDD. Kind of like "Naruto" the "pastry master" XD.

Seriously speaking, I hope you liked this chapter. I really enjoyed writing it and it also kept me thinking about it for 2 days. Yes... it's not just any "filler".

The important thing, until when will I update with "filler" chapters...? Well, until I get my HDMI cable back and I can listen to the videos and audios. Let's pray for tomorrow, AMEN. Anyway, tell me, is the chapter bad, give me your thoughts. Express yourselves freely, but have respect for all of us.

As this is "filler" I'll just say: Destroying is something we can all do, but guiding, only the wise ones. Have a great day or a good night ^^.
