Few days Later

"My Lord, what was that noise last night?" Kalar asked. His curiosity getting the better of him still.

"Oh, just someone getting taught a lesson. Dreadful really. Was challenged to a little.." He paused a little to find the right words to say. Not really finding any really. "...how do you say fear battle? No that is not the right words for it. But it will have to do. Tell me about your findings."

Azul was pretty hungry but wanted to get the information as soon as possible. Testing himself the last few days, he realized he could go a week without food or water. His magic was constantly used to build the structures themselves. It was not used in sustaining him as the magic should. Cutting himself from the source of his magical power gave him.. a serious headache.

But defenses were more important than self-happiness. For now anyway.

"Before that, I need to hear your word of agreement." The rogue stood up front with his report. From Kalar, over the last few days, Azul knew the man to be Cozula. He and Kalar grew up togethor. Azul caught on a few instances that Kalar spoke with a twinkle in his eye about the man.

"Alright then. In exchange for you to stay. You and your cohorts will work for my Intelligence Hall. Gathering information of all sorts across the planes of existence. You are responsible for keeping up with agents and citizens who travel about as well. Passport agency if you will. Besides myself, Nocturne, and Kalar, none can give you orders. You have my word on my blood that we will uphold the agreement."

When Azul finished his pledge, out of his left-hand, blood poured out turning into a parchment. On top, the symbol was the header with the turquoise icon.

The letter floated to Cozula stopping in the air right in front of him. Grabbing it in his hands the rogue read over it several times till he was satisfied. He then passed to his cohorts who read it one by one. Azul's stomach started to growl something fierce. Grabbing some water he bided his time till each member finished.

"We accept the terms." Cozula said signing his name in blood. His cohorts followed suit. While they signed, he started to tell them about the information he was able to gather in the last week.

Finishing up in a few hours the group broke for lunch.

Grabbing ahold of a piece of bread Azul devoured it. He kept creating constant water from little traces of magic with the water vapor in the air. But things could not be that easy.

In walked a human member of the Alliance that washed ashore two days ago. He was pretty tight-lipped but agreed to finally speak. After a slight oath that didn't violate his honor, he decided to trade information to Azul.

Dismissing the others such as the workers and a few animals that wander around the keep, it was time to start the beginning of the serious work. Azul changed the chamber they were in. In the center, a circle table appeared.

On the walls imagines of the various places of Azeroth and its connecting planes formed. On the ceiling, all races that were present had a visual image.

"Ok, let's go over everything correctly. Everyone has had the chance to think on it. Ks has reorganized with the locals and the various miscellaneous information we received from our animal friends. This is the actual time period we are in." Azul moved his hands in the air creating multiple spheres that floated above them. "This is us."

Pointing to a small sphere signifying a small time of respite. In 90 more days, events would start to take place.

"What is the significance of this exactly?" Nocturne asked. The magic intrigued her, but she felt it was abnormal. To abnormal to tweak with.

"I slept way too long and was imprisoned way too long. This timeline, it is too much like the regular course. With time, we will straighten it out hopefully for the better. So many heroes are dead. So, it is up to us to change that." With a flick of his wrist, an image appeared. It looked like a typical Blood Elf. "This is my nephew Kael'thas. He failed in his effort to save my people. Thanks to the efforts of Lady Liadrinand and her Blood Knights, he was stopped."

"I am sorry my Lord. If I could change places with him, I would." Kalar said. Cozula thought the same from the side. Both would have been lost to nostaglia if it wasnt for the discussion and its importance.

"No, he made his choices. But we will fix that hopefully one day." Dismissing the depressing matter, Azul created images of a stronghold with several people conducting weird rituals. "The faction Twilight Hammer is on the move. What we need most, is to train some Spellbreakers to deal with that cult. Even if it is just a small one. They can not be allowed to gain a foothold." Looking to Nocturne he shook his head. It was to dangerous for her to do it. "You will train a group harder in the martial way. 10 will suffice Kalar."

"But my Lord I could...." Nocturne started to say. Taking it the wrong way, she wanted to prove herself.

"No. Your job will be with me. I will discuss that later." Azul said, stopping her before she made her plea. "The Dragon Onyxia has been slain by Varian Wrynn. Right now her soul is floating in her Lair and different planes. Cozula your cohorts will search for various ways to enter that lair and take her remains that are left. As well as plant these sigils."

Eight different stones with various inscriptions made it towards him.

"What do these sigils do?" Cozula asked. The lair was deadly already. Taking that sort of risk he hoped it would be worth it.

"They will allow us to teleport into that lair and take what we need. Only half are needed to be set. But the more that are set will allow us to manipulate the field more. From my understanding, the Alliance is a little busy and the Horde is having some trouble with The Black Temple."

"Ah, wait! Are we going to help them?" The little goblin asked quizzically. From what Disa knew, Azul didn't have any plans on helping either force yet.

"No. I am generally inclined to help the Horde but for now, they will have to wait. We need strength if we are going to stand as an ally with them. As for the Alliance, it will be some time before our politicians are trained enough to deal with the vipers." Azul said slightly snarling. Looking to the Human in the room, he watched the man nod in understanding.

"Speaking of the Alliance, here." The human in the group said. He reached into his satchel and handed over his work he compiled last night. Reading it quickly, Azul passed the papers around.

The Alliance had started to reorganize after they received the warning that Azul sent about the Lich King getting ready to make his move in the next five years or so. Maybe even sooner than that.

For a little information, Azul formed a way to help slow down the undead under his control. Sealing it away he gave it the human who used a special spell that transported it across the planes. He promised the Alliance would get it soon. He didn't say how soon.

Following the debacle of the Lich King and his Death Knight attack across the lands long ago, there was a certain animosity for his death or execution. Taking the time to rearm as the Lich King became quiet, some members of the Alliance thought he had perished.

Several Expeditions had marched out to travel to Northrend to investigate. None returned. But word spread of a few Death Knights returning under their own control. This lead to more confusion amongst the forces.

"We could reach out to our Elven cousins. A peace offering or a chance to meet should help." Kalar said changing to a better topic.

"Fair enough. But what to offer in a trade?" Disa asked. "Resources are too scarce for us to hand over at this time."

"Offer them a small spell to help cure their forest. There is a slight evil creeping around." The demon said chiming in for the first time.

The demon was the separation from Nocturne that Azul took care of the first night. She refused to give her name. If Azul had not told them, they would not know she was a demon. Her appearance was that of a Blood Elf. Looking almost Identical to Nocturne but skin a little paler and eyes that looked like a cat. She went by Demona.

"I had one, it was originally going to be a trade with a small elven group, but two were killed instead. The rest were free to leave. Maybe they will report on it. Remnants from the time when the Lich King first attacked."

"Very well. See to it along with Nocturne." Watching the room seeing no further input Azul dropped the biggest news. "Now for the method for how we will grow in strength and power. Time."

"Come again?" Everyone asked.

"With the help of Ks, we will travel to the broken points in time that no longer hold true here. We will take what we can to strengthen our realm."

"Ah, we can save everyone then!" The little goblin said in excitement. Out of everyone in the room, Disa had the biggest heart. The entire room was happy thinking the same thing as her. It was short lived.

"We cannot. I am not that type of person. Nor is my design set for that. My job is to save Azeroth first and foremost. I can only take what will be a strength for me. Something that I can wield or what will aid me in my wisdom." Azul said directly to the little goblin smiling sadly.

He wanted to say on the knowledge that Athena approves can be saved. And only the destruction that Bane approves can be saved. They needed the power to influence once he arrived. And right now, he seriously lacked it.

Understanding and peace would help in the downtime but.. not with the Lich King, or with Deathwing on the horizon afterward. Athena fed him glimpses of the biggest threats to Azeroth. As well as planted memories from various denizens of the afterlife with Bane.

Bane also showed him the most important battles during the future. If he wishes to see more, he would need to use more magic. Which he didn't have. The other option was to build shrines for Athena and Bane. Without the spare resources, it would take to long.

"But why not? Surely with your strength, you can do with this ability whatever you want?!" Disa started tearing up. The little goblin tears started to run like a stream seeing his stoic face.

"I need way more power than I currently have in stock. Building this city and fixing just this little area is taking a lot from me. My power is to be used for destruction mostly. Yes, I will save some people but only to fuel my war effort."

Azul started to wonder about a quest that popped up last night. It would be for the best if he straightened everything out before starting.

"But why!? Why would you do such a thing? Are the stories true about you?"

The room became cold. Everyone started to think about the records in the library they read about. Yes, they were false documents but must have been an inkling of truth to them. "Because I am a Hellion soul. I would tell you more about it but I can not. Your loyalty towards me is way to low."

"My loyalty.. what do you mean?"

"I mean this." With a wave of his finger a translucent screen appeared. On the screen, various charts and numbers were displayed. It showed a quantified value of her standing with the places that knew of her. "If it makes you feel any better the only one to be able to see the values are me, Ks, and yourselves. Our people."

Reaching out she touched West Sanctum. It showed everyone in the city's name. By the names, a value showed in green or red. Green for positive feelings as well as trust towards a person. Red for negative feelings and distrust. The number was an interaction value and thought value.

"The number is high.... but the color is bad. Why is it changing back and forwth like this?" Disa asked in wonder.

"Perception. The way I view everyone is not constant. I am fickle in that regard. Also, my mind is weighing in on different timelines and planes of existence at once." Seeing everyones shocked faces, Azul figures it was a time to call an end to the meeting. Too much information right now would be bad.

If not for Ks, and the insurance from Athena, he doubts he would explain anymore to them than this. If the Alliance or the Horde found out about the abilities he possessed, it might make him a target.

"Nocturne with me. As well as you demoness we need to talk about the previous day." Azul started walking out of the room once it returned to normal. "As for you, our Alliance guest. I hope you decide to share more with us in the future."

"Yes. I do not see why the King wouldn't. Then again.. considering there are certain things I can't say just yet. I will wait here a little more. As an unofficial ambassador. Do you mind?"

This chapter is meant to come out after the next one but since a timeline needs to establish I figure why not.

I suggest people re-read the synopsis if they continue to follow this story in the future.
