Chapter 2 - Another World! (2)

I was getting uncomfortable in my sleep. There's a suffocating feeling like when I rolled myself up in a blanket like a sushi roll, and then made it tighter by flailing around. It's still cold though, and the bed is shaking, but I don't want to wake up...

*Slap* I feel something smack me across the face, and I wake up from the stinging pain. I would have preferred being woken up with a kiss, or breakfast in bed... Not that I know what that's like.

Looking up, I see a fair skinned man. He has light brown hair, hazel eyes, and the tall and slim body of a Korean drama star. He would definitely be popular with the ladies from my world.

Curse these kinds of winners in life! ...I definitely take back the thing about wanting a kiss though. Ugh, so hateful!

"Who are you, and what kind of man goes around slapping a sleeping person?!" I tried to get up as I say this, but realized that I'm tied up with rope. The only movement possible it to wriggle like a worm, so I just relax and look at this stranger.

"○○○ ○○○○○ ○○?" The man crouches down and asks me something, but I don't understand what he's saying. I start panicking, who's ever heard of playing a video game in a language you don't understand?

After a several minutes of failed communication, I'm reminded of a time I bought a Gun••m game that was only released for Asia that wasn't available in North America. It wasn't even subbed so I didn't understand the story at all because I couldn't speak the language! This is the same problem!

"Uh, sorry but I don't know what you're saying. I doubt you know what I mean either, you uselessly handsome bastard." I reply to the guy who's got me tied up.

He frowns and looks me over from head to toe a couple of times. He then walks to my side and flips me over on my stomach. I feel one of his hands on my Hsu as his clothes rustle. Hey! This isn't that kind of story!

I then feel that the rope has been cut from around my legs, and he pulls me up to my feet.

"○○○○ ○○." He beckons me to follow him, and leads me by a rope that remains tied to my torso.

We walk in silence since we wouldn't understand each other anyway, and I was too distracted to have a conversation anyways. I see giant flowers, plate sized butterflies, and glowing birds all around us. As we walked, the trees moved their roots to make a pathway for me and my captor.

Seeing something in the trees, I call out to the man. "Hey look, over there!" Hefollows my nod, and a green light gathers into the shape of a bow in his hand. He immediately pushed me into a bush and started firing off green volleys.

The figure was incredibly quick. Dodging all the shots, it raced down the trunk of a tree, and into the man. Thinking this is dangerous, I tried calling inventory and was able to pull out a pin er. As I hear fighting in the distance, I struggle to cut my hands free as soon as possible.

Right now I'm just easy prey! In my anxiety I fumble a few times, but eventually cut my bindings. Now that there's some slack, I push the looped rope up and off of myself.

It's eerily quiet now. I'm nervous. My heart is beating like a drum, seeming to be the loudest sound in the entire forest. I strain my ears, trying to catch any other sounds. My eyes are darting around for any signs of danger. I hear a snap up ahead, which makes me flinch a little.

I see the man, his hair now disheveled. I notice that his ears are quite long and pointy. Ohh, he's an elf!

Whishhh-bam! The elf is slammed by a gray shadow that appeared from the side!

I now see that it's a huge werewolf that's wrestling with the elf. The beast is at least 2 meters tall, covered in gray fur, has muscles rippling along its mody, and has claws like daggers with light glinting to show how sharp they are!

The werewolf is above the elf, both of its hands are restrained at the worst by the elf's hands. The werewolf is snapping at the elf's face, but he is able to evade by moving his head.

This is bad... What are my options? Just as I'm about to pretend to have seen nothing, the elf looks directly at me and yells something. Now the werewolf is looking at me! Dude, why do you have to drag me down too?! I doubt Mr. Wolf will ignore me now... Since I can't run away, I'll have to help kill it, I definitely won't be able to get away once the elf is dead.

Pulling out the second pincer for my off hand, I charge at the werewolf.

"Double Daggers:Viper Strike!" I yell out to pump my self up. With both pincers held sharp end down, if this lands it will look like a big snake bit this wolf. I run up from behind, the wolf kicks back with its right let, which I dodge by stumbling to the left!

As I'm falling, I put all my weight into my weapons and stab down...

"Waoooorgh!" I may or may not have had my eyes closed, but what is for sure is that one pincer was stuck in between the werewolf's left shoulder blade and spine, while the other was completely driven into its lower back below the ribcage.

Pulling on them and stepping back, I'm only able to pull out the pincer from the lower back. "How do you like that?! You may have taken one weapon, but I have another technique that I can still use: Bloodline Destruction!"

Stepping close again, a driven pincer finds its soft target between the werewolf's legs. Mr. Wolf bucks his head as a silent scream escapes with his soul, his tail stood up rigidly in pain. After a few seconds, it falls limply on top of the elf.

*Ding, ding, ding, ding!*

I hear the sweet rings of system notifications. With so many at once, I must have leveled up!

The elf pushes the werewolf off of him. Taking out a dagger, he cuts across the werewolf's neck to confirm the kill. He looks at me and gives me a nod and a cocky smile. A breeze blows by, lifting his hair and needlessly raising the tension. He knows I am the one who killed the werewolf, doesn't he?

He pulls out the line from the werewolf's shoulder and hands it to me. Then with his dagger, he cuts out a small red stone from the monster's chest and pockets it.

I want to say something about the loot, but keep my mouth closed as he's obviously stronger than me, and I wouldn't be able do do anything against him anyway.

This time he leads me through the forest without tying me up. After a short walk, he stops by a large tree. Correction, a HUGE tree. It seemed to stretch into the sky, and was as wide as half a basketball court.

The elf walks up to a side of the tree, chants something, and touches a glowing finger to the trunk. Part of the tree swings open like a door, revealing a platform within. He steps in and beckons me over. I walk in and the door closes behind me.

After a moment of darkness, small veins in the tree light up with a gentle yellow lights, like Led strips guiding the way. The platform rises, and my feet feel heavy for a moment like on an elevator. After a minute, with a split second feeling of weightlessness the movement stops and the 'door' opens again.

We step out, and are greeted by a dozen or so armed men and women. They all carry either a spear or bow and are wearing leather armor. The entire crowd has shades of blonde hair, they all also have pale blue eyes. Each one was a knockout in the looks department, you could only see this many beautiful people wear warrior attire at the same time in a Hollywood blockbuster.

My escort elf says something to the others, and they seem to come to an agreement. He gives me a 'wait' sign with his hand and walks away with one of the blondes. I don't particularly mind staying here since I've got all this eye candy, *cough-cough* beautiful nature around to keep me entertained.

After a half of an hour, the two return with a slightly older woman. Don't get me wrong, this lady barely looked to be in her early 30s. She had long silver hair reaching to her waist, silver eyes, and a curvaceous figure with ample gifts. She was wearing a hooded light green dress that hugged her curves.

Staring hard, I gulp put of nervousness when she addressed me and broke me out of the trance. "○○○ ○○ ○○○ ○○?"

Confusedly I look at the elf who brought me with him, and he seems to explain my situation. The lady elf gently smiles at me and closes her eyes. Reciting some kind of chant, she lifts her right hand to point at me, and a green light coalesces onto me from the surroundings.

My eyes squeeze shut as a sharp pain shoots through my head. "Aghh!" I fall to my knees, but the pain passes mid-fall. I get back up feeling a little embarrassed.

"Can you understand me now?" The melodic voice of the elven woman catches my attention.

"Wow! Yes, I can understand you! How did...?" I stare at her in puzzlement. I can hear her voice soaking a different language, but I understand her all the same.

"It's a Nature series spell to help communicate with different races. It's temporary, but should last for the day at least." She beckons me with her hand, "Come with me, I have some questions for you, and I think you might have questions as well."

I nod my acknowledgement and follow. "My name is Delilah," she tells me as we walk. She asks about who I am, how I got into the forest, and other such questions. I tell her I'm from another world, and that I woke up in the 'Cave of the Forgotten God.' This seemed to shock her, as I saw confusion in her clear eyes, though she tried to conceal it. Not being able to answer many of her questions, our talk ended up with mostly her talking to tell me about this world. Here's what I learned:

The wold is called Thursu. In this world, there are three continents surrounded by vast oceans, how vast, was unknown to Delilah. The continent I was on is called the Spring Continent. The weather here is as though it is always spring. Magic is real, so are dragons! Delilah did not know much about the affairs of others outside the forest as the Elves are isolationists. Last thing, is that I can't stay with the elves because I'm a human.

Due to the rules of the village I'm not allowed to stay here. She did promise me that I'll have a place to stay separate from the rest of the village while they prepare supplies to help me travel.

That led me to a small tree house with one room, brought in some food, and told me to stay. These elves showed kindness to a stranger like me. Even though I had to leave this place filled with beautiful girls, I was still thankful for the food and supplies.

I felt sleepy, and the fatigue from killing a werewolf made me want to take a nap. Feeling safe and warm, I decided to sleep until dinnertime. I dreamed about wizards, Knights, dragons, and beautiful lady elves...
