Chapter 12

After I wake up I notice that there is only 4 hours until I go to the next mission, not 7 days like the last one, which causes me to be annoyed at losing training time due to that. Whatever, I will just train during the mission or something.

Four hours quickly passed and I was covered in a white light and teleported from my private room. When I open my eyes and look around I seem to be in a house, or at least what seems like a house. There is a single window and a door in this room I am in, so I just lay down and wait silently for a while.

[Mission #2, Betrayal.

-Description: General Sha Gu has betrayed humankind and sided with the monsters. Your task is to slay General Sha Gu and the monster General.

-Time Limit: 5 days.

-Mission Difficulty: E

-Rewards: 12000 points. 12000 xp. 50 stat points. 1500 Karma.

-Failure Penalty: Loss of 35% of stats.]

Is this mission linked to the first one? I remember General Sha Gu, he was one of the 3 Generals in the army I was in last mission. The missions are linked now, huh. How annoying. Just hope nobody tries to get friendly with me because it is a pain. Literally.

I stand up off the bed and stretch my body slightly while tightening my sword into my belt and then I go and open the door. When I open the door I see a few people running around with medical supplies and food and caring for the injured.

I ignore this scene and leave the building before asking around. According to the people here, General Sha Gu and the monster General are both inside the forest somewhere. I simply enter the forest after finding out and walk around it to look around for them.

I kill a few normal monsters along the way and after 2 days I finally found where they were. They were not in the furthest area of the forest like I assumed but are rather gathering all their monsters and leading an attack on the base.

I look at both Generals and I can tell they are at the same strength as the me from mission 1, which surprised me slightly. I figured they would be stronger than that, but they are pretty weak. It would take me a little while to kill them, but dealing with all the monsters would take even longer.

I guess I will need about a day or 2 to skill them all, how annoying. Whatever, since my targets are here I should begin. I take out my sword and use Solitude Movement to teleport 10 meters from my spot and appeared above the monster army.

I land directly behind General Shu Gu and thrust my sword forward towards his heart from behind. Lucky for him, he managed to react in time and blocked my thrust with his saber. Even so, he still got pushed back a good few meters from the attack.

By this time the monster General noticed me so it screamed out in it's language and the monsters surrounding me all charge at me. Perhaps before I completed the first mission this would be a bit hard for me, but now it is very easy to deal with.

I swiftly cut down a few hundred monsters that rushed at me before running to the monster General. I stab my sword at it's chest and it blocks me with it's claws, but I still messed up one of it's hands from the force of my attack.

I didn't wait for it to react and thrust my sword out a few times . It managed to block most of them, but 3 still passed by it's defense. One stabbed into it's chest, one into it's right shoulder and the other entered it's forehead.

The monster General looked at me with confusion before it fell to the ground, dead. I ignore it's corpse and rush at General Shu Gu who is trying to run away. I block his way and stab my sword with my full speed at him. He tries to block it by placing his saber in front of his chest, but I changed my target at the last second and pierced his forehead.

His dying eyes look at me with disbelief and fear before he falls to the ground. I quickly clean up all the monsters around who don't know what to do before I get teleported back to my private room. I thought it would take me a day or 2 to kill them, but it only took me a few hours.

They were weaker than I thought, huh. I lay on my bed and wait for the screen to show up.

[Congrats! You completed the second mission! As you could probably tell, all the missions from now on will be linked one way or another! Here are your rewards!]

Two more levels, huh. I put 11 points into endurance and the other 43 into vitality before bringing up my status.

Looking at my 20000 Karma, I decide to buy the second skill from my Throne shop, as I have no other use for Karma, and I am curious about what skill I will get this time. So, I bring up the Throne shop and use my 20000 Karma to purchase the second skill.

Similar to the first time, I felt pain assault my mind for a few minutes before information about the skill appeared in my mind. I was a bit excited by what I got this time, so I grabbed my sword and ran down the stairs to the large training space.

Once there, I head over to the training dummies and point my sword at one while focusing. After a moment, a black beam shot out of my sword and smashed into the training dummy, completing destroying it.

Looking at the strength of my first true sword skill, I felt very excited. This skill is called Solitude Sword and it can send out a black beam like the one I just shot out. I can use it 2 times a day right now since it is only level 1, but if I got it to level 10, I could shoot out a hundred beams per day, which is crazy.

For the next 3 days of the break I train all my skill and I just barely got the Solitude Sword skill to level 2, allowing me to shoot out 4 beams now. My Solitude Movement also hit level 5, allowing me to teleport 15 meters instead of 10 now, which is also great.

A few moments later I am teleported out of my private room by a white light. I open my eyes and look around. I am in a room that looks demonic as heck. The room is all red and black with all types of weird looking things that would belong to demons inside it.

There are 9 other people with me in this room, which is annoying somewhat. Whatever, lets just see what the mission is and whether they have a use in it or not.

[Mission #3, Demon Butler Gorgath.

-Description: Demon Butler Gorgath is the butler of a powerful Demon King. Your task it to slay Demon Butler Gorgath so he cannot gather an army of demons and invade the humans, who are already dealing with enough problems against the monsters.

-Time Limit: 6 hours.

-Mission Difficulty: E

-Rewards: 10000 points. 10000 xp. 50 stat points. 2000 Karma.

-Failure Penalty: Loss of 40% of stats.]

Just a rank E mission, not hard for me then. The other 9 are probably just cannon fodder here, so I don't need to bother with them at all. I get up and open the door before leaving. I could hear the other 9 getting up and following me, but I don't care.

It took me 3 hours to find where this damn butler was at, and before I could do anything, the other 9 cannon fodder with me rushed at him like morons. Why the hell are these people always so stupid? Or is it just greed? Who knows.

The naturally couldn't do anything against the butler and they all quickly died within a minute or 2, but they did leave a few cuts on his body. He looks at me while I look back. I don't wait for him to do anything and appear behind him with my Solitude Movement, stabbing my sword at his chest.

He twists his body and blocks it with his arm, as a result his arm got cut off cleanly. Hey, at least he saved his life. Well, for now at least. Due to losing his arm he couldn't block my attacks that much, but he at least blocked over 10 of them, which is surprising.

I finally managed to pierce his heart with my sword and he died from it. If I was correct, this guy blocked about 19 of my attacks, which is damn surprising. The Generals could block about 7 before, and that was when I was weaker than I am now.

Rather than rank E, he is probably at the peak of rank E, nearly rank D. I sit down on my bed when the white light teleports me back and look at the screen.

What a small amount of stuff from this mission, huh. I put 25 points into both strength and agility and the remaining 2 into vitality before bringing up my status.

My vitality is nearly at 100 now, which is nice. I would have 4 stats over 100 at that point. The time I have for a break is only 4 hours, which makes sense. That mission was too easy, so why would I get a long break?

I simply lay down on my bed for the four hours, and I get teleported away by a white light eventually. I open my eyes and find myself in a cave, which is a first. I look around and see some skeletons of humans and monsters, so I wonder what I am killing this time.

[Mission #4, Python.

-Description: A Python has evolved immensely due to the new world and it has been feeding on many humans and monsters during the last year, increasing it's strength further. As the monsters in it's surroundings are diminishing quickly, the Python is about to attack a human settlement. Your task it so stop and slay it before then.

-Time Limit: 2 hours.

-Mission Difficulty: E

-Rewards: 10000 points. 10000 xp. 50 stat points. 1500 Karma.

-Failure Penalty: Loss of 35% of stats.]

A Python this time, huh. Whatever, since it is only rank E it will still be easy. Where are the harder missions at, so annoying. I left the cave and followed the marks on the ground and found the Python after about an hour. It was killing a boar monster and was distracted, so I just rushed at it and cut it in half with my sword easily.

I got teleported back to my private room directly after and the break time was once again only 4 hours, meaning another easy mission will probably come. I sigh while looking at the screen.

[You cleared Mission #4, Python.

-Mission Rating: B

-You gained 10000 points.

-You gained 10000 xp.

-You gained 50 stat points.

-You gained 1500 Karma.]

My lord! The mission was so easy I didn't even get extra rewards. I lay down while sighing and wait for the next mission to begin. I open my eyes just after I got teleported and found myself laying down on the ground somewhere random, so I sit up and look around.

[Mission #5, Survive.

-Description: Your strength has grown to be too much for the current missions, as a result, this mission has began. You will be assaulted by a 5000 strong army of missioners. As a penalty, your stats will be lowered by 35%. Good luck!

-Mission Difficulty: C

-Rewards: 30000 points. 30000 xp. 100 stat points. random skill.

-Failure Penalty: Death.]

...What? What is this bullshit! I mean, sure I am strong, but this is just stupid! Is it my fault that the missions were too easy, allowing me to get strong? Fuck!

[Oh~ You already got this mission, huh? It is very early.]

"You knew this would happen? Why didn't you tell me?"

[That's against the rules~ This happens on every planet a few times. Yours is just very early. I expected it to happen around Mission #20, but it happened on #5. Here, I will show you the other mission.]

[Mission #5, Lonely King Zhao Feng.

-Description: Lonely King Zhao Feng has increased his strength too quickly and as a result this mission was created. Your task is to kill Lonely King Zhao Feng so his strength doesn't increase any further. No need to worry, his stats were all lowered by 35%.

-Time Limit: 3 days.

-Mission Difficulty: C

-Rewards: 50000 points. 50000 xp. 100 stat points. 5000 Karma.

-Failure Penalty: Loss of 70% of stats.]

Fucking bullshit. My mission rewards are low as hell compared to theirs, and I am the one who is alone, while they have 5000 people. Such stupidity!

"There he is! Get him!"

"We found the Lonely King! Over here!"

I suddenly heard shouts behind me and quickly turned around to look. What I saw made me instantly start running. What the hell! How did they find me in just a few minutes! Such bullshit! I run as fast as I can and dodge the arrows that are shot at me while at it.

[You can't run forever, you know. There is a tracker that will tell them wherever you go, so even if you hide it is pointless. Running will just make it easier for them, remember you stats were all lowered by 35%.]

Fuck me! A tracker is on me or something? This mission seriously wants to kill me, huh! I keep running for an hour but I can't go any further due to a ravine blocking my way. The fuck! Why would a ravine be in the middle of this place! Fuck me!

"Hahaha! Heavens are helping us! Get him! He is blocked by a ravine!"

"Hahaha! This mission is easy!"

Fuck it. If I can't run, I will just kill you bastards. I pull out my sword and use my Solitude Sword skill, sending out 2 black beams. The black beams wrecked havoc on the enemies and killed a few hundred of them easily, which surprised me.

I guess my skills didn't weaken, which helps. I still have 2 beams left, but I have to save those for later. I rush at them when they are disoriented from my beams and start a slaughter. I might have been weakened, but these trash are still trash to me!

I cut whoever is in front of me down with a slash of my sword and entered the center of their army. I slash my sword around me and heads go flying off their bodies constantly. A few people backed up, but more and more of them rushed at me.

I kept cutting those who rushed at me down, but they still had too many people for me. I got injuries all over my body from them, but the flexible armor blocked most of them for me thankfully. I continued cutting people down when I heard a shout.

"Gah! This bastard! Mages, bomb the fucker!"

Mages? The fuc-

BOOM!!!

I got sent flying from a sudden explosion that I couldn't react to. I raise my head and look somewhere and spot 5 people with staffs pointing them at me and whispering something. I instantly realize them as mages, which confuses the hell out of me. People can use magic now? The heck is this!

I was directly hit by a spell just now, so I am really damaged due to it. I managed to dodge 2 more spells, but the explosion still hit me, sending me flying. I could see that they didn't even care about the lives of those in their group, killing them to damage me.

I got angry as hell, at both these people and the mission for sending me to my death like this. I felt rage overtake me as I stood up and started mumbling something without realizing it. I could feel that my body isn't under my control, but I don't realize it due to my anger.

My body pointed my sword at the large group of people and 2 black beams shot out again. Only, this time they are many times larger and stronger than before. The black beams directly blasted many people into pieces and landed right in front of the mages, blowing them into bloody pieces.

My body suddenly appeared in the middle of the enemies and slashed my sword rapidly, cutting those around it into pieces. My body was about to continue the slaughter when I heard a whisper, causing my body to freeze up.

As a result, my body got pierce through by 10 swords or spears. My flexible armor blocked it slightly, but my body still got pierced into. One sword pierced into my heart by chance. I regained control of my body at this time, and I looked down at my body.

Seeing the 10 bloody weapons inside my body, I suddenly felt heavy. I whisper something nobody can hear and raise my sword. A blue glow appears on it, and I shot it out. The place I shot it out was directly in front of my body, causing a massive explosion to happen.

Everybody near me was burned into ashes along with their gear, including me. My flexible armor turned into ash, my body following it. My sword was covered in a white light and disappeared before it was turned to ash, so I guess the screen interfered with it. I looked up at the sky for a a moment and laughed slightly before my consciousness disappeared.
