4 The Day of Awakening(2)
I changed the <Opportune> to <Extreme Luck> in the previous chapter. Mike has extreme luck now.
[1763rd year, 1st month, 1st day, Local time 5:00 pm]
There was a collective sigh. Around 500 youths relaxed their expression simultaneously, 5:00 pm is the time when Awakening stops, and as the Awakening stops, the constant pain also goes away. What comes next is a wonder. Wonder of seeing the world anew. The feeling is same as the feeling a blind feels when he sees for the first time, the feeling the deaf feels when he hears for the first time. And with this wonder comes the realisation, realisation that you have never seen the true world before. This is the point when out of the 10 senses 6th and the 7th are opened for the first time and a new world opens with them.
Mike like others was feeling wonderful, as he had read in school books, he is now officially a adult and is at mortal state. Once he starts manipulating mana and starts accumulating qi he will step into world of cultivation and enter the 1st Stage, 1st stage is also called as <body refinement> state. Only after he reaches <practitioner> stage, which is second stage, he will be able to sense the spiritual plane which contains the aura of life. Once someone completes Body refinement, due to abrupt rise of quality of his body, the lifespan of the person directly triples and since the efforts required to get to practitioner stage are very low almost every commoner is at practitioner stage. Most of the adults in Mike's village were at practitioner stage as well, since cultivating to this stage has best cost to benefit ratio for commoners and they can lead their lives easily.
Cultivating further after the practitioner stage is much more difficult and it takes a person with no talent his whole life to reach the next stage, the <Master> stage. This stage does not result in increase of lifespan, instead it provides large amount of power by enabling use of body's mana and qi to be used outside of the body. Since it does not benefit common people in any way, it unattractive for commoners, infact this is the stage till which most of the knowledge about cultivation is wide spread, knowledge about higher cultivation is mostly restricted. Mike himself only knew the name of the next stage, called <Sage> stage.

500 youths were sitting on a platform in meditating pose, holding a metallic plate with a golden sheen on their laps. These people have just awakened, and now they were trying to feel the mana and qi of the world, once they were done, the metallic plate they held started changing and some words started appearing on them. When Mike finished his sensing process, he glanced upon his Status plate.

The status plate was an amazing device created using world dominator system. It is supposed to be an identity card for every intelligent lifeform on the planet, if a creature awakens intelligence his first priority is to get the status plate, youths get identity card on the day of Awakening. Without status plate you have a status of an Slave or servant without basic rights, usually for children, their parents are considered their master, for other life forms without protection they are instead hunted or live life in seclusion. It automatically scans your affinity for qi and mana, also keeps track of your nearest affiliation.
The status Plate was created by the great emperor while creating the 'World domination system' and was used to keep track of every person on the planet, effectively making them his subjects. It is believed that the first thing the king's system does is to create fake copies of status plate an almost impossible thing to replicate without the system itself. only when a person is free of prison called status plate can anyone dream of true Hegemony.
As for the Ambition category, it is judged based on the user themselves. for example The bigger the ambition of the person is, the higher the grade will be. Usually basic system creation is rated as grade C. But there are too many with ambition A or higher its just that most will die before fulfilling their ambitions.
Mike was content seeing his status plate, usually Grade B is the best affinity category in the whole prefecture and very few Grade A affinity are there in the whole kingdoms. With grade B affinity he has great chance of reaching master class even if he farms whole life without cultivation. with cultivation he might even surpass a sage. As for Grade S, they are so rare naturally at awakening that the last one was grandmother of the emperor of Doscon she later took a treasure herb to raise her affinity to SS. She is currently strongest person in this continent.
Obviously affinity can be increased using various precious medicines and herbs, thats what every heir to emperor does to raise theirs to S grade. Mike was pretty sure that with his luck he would encounter many chances to raise his affinity but whether he will be survive those encounter or not will depend on himself.
Mike was only one awake, and caused a small commotion since he was a 'genius' who had grade B affinity and might even get best systems in the whole prefecture. Mike himself ignored that commotion as he knew he had his own goals. His grade SSS ambition was no joke. Every year millions of youths start with grade SSS ambition but in the nearly 17000 years of history of civilization not a single person has completed his ambition of SSS, the ambition of becoming a true God. Every few decades a person does complete a SS ranked ambition granting him the title of strongest person on the planet or the title world dominator but even they are unable to become true Gods.
According to the records left by the creator of this planet, the most difficulty in becoming a god is faced by the first god native of the planet. After first god achieves godhood, the planet can give birth to more gods much easily. Also the planet is 'locked' i.e. people cant leave the planet to meet other civilization before having their first god. It is ambition of millions of youths to unlock the planet by becoming the first God.
The thing was Mike had a greater ambition, higher than what his status plate showed. not only did he want to become a god, but he wanted to create a god creation system, the one and only system in the universe which can give even an ordinary mortal a chance of becoming a god. This was incomparably difficult than becoming 'just' a god.

It was 11:00 pm already. The last person, a frail young man finished sensing qi and mana, marking end of the awakening process at brook town. Mike who was enjoying the market fair, his last day of being a child was summoned along with all those recently awakened. It was about time they select their future. Those who wanted to live life using already existing system would select their starting system from book of system which will show them a few basic system according to their qualifications. These people will in future either live with their basic systems, have a fruituitous encounter to either upgrade their system or they will go on an adventure to get a better system.
For those who want to create their own system, they will get the soul form of 'empty script' which is like an artificial intelligence which knows nothing and will experience what you experienced and remember your actions according to the stimulus and your reactions to them. over time this script will gain personality and knowledge according to your own experiences. Your script can also absorb copies of other scripts which are unclaimed. many great scripts exist which are better than most of the systems but are still in script form because the original ambition of the script was not completed. After the death or when the last remaining host of script choses another system, the script becomes unclaimed and slowly lose information becoming a broken script. A script can absorb various systems in form of scripts too but is not recommended as the script becomes more corrupted by absorbing already formed neural networks.
Hence scripts absorbed should be as basic as possible and without personality. thats why it is many a times recommended to read and analyse scripts instead of directly absorbing them. Also few scripts and data are provided for those looking forward to make their own systems. Also beware, those who are making their own scripts have a disadvantage in beginning against those with systems. Be ready to be cheated or defeated by them.
The town mayor was finally done with his explanation and the young men and women scampered off to get their scripts or system.
