26 Chapter 24: Only One Can Live

"I should have known what you really were" Captain Feilds said "I knew something was off when we were fighting but for some reason I could not put my finger on it."

The Brown bear showed a creepy smile. "You were slightly stronger than I expected, but it's not the first time I've delt with people of your proffesion"

The beast looked directly at him "Your kind always priorities strength over knowledge, so it not surprising for you to defeated by my kind, dieing like this should be expected, no?"

Fields was about to say something but an odd tingling sensation started to spread from the injury in his arm. He looked at his arm and one thought came to him "poison."

.....

Not far from the two of them by some bushes hidden in the dark someone was observing all of this transpire, Aiden was behind the bushes watching all this happen.

He has been observing the current series of events unfold since the beginning, carefully not to make a single sound least he draw attention.

The fight between those two beings had completely removed any doubt about this place being a different world, the abilities they displayed were something no human in his old world could do, it both estonded him and made him more fearful of this world.

He wanted to leave this place as soon as possible, but he knew he could not do that. Whether it be fear of either the beast noticing his presence or it be the guards in black chasing after him, he did not know; but he knew if he wanted to leave here alive he needed to take a risk.

Aiden looked in the direction of the beast and captain before trying to locate the other guards.

They were fourty-five degrees west of him silently approached the creature, he saw them and tried to come up with a plan.

He pondered over he matter for a while before inspiration suddenly struck him, quickly taking out the alchemy pistol he had carried with since escaping from the Triads lab.

.....

The guards slowly approached location of the beast and their captain.

It did not take long for them to reach near the two of them, they were fourty-five feet from the two before they stopped.

They could see the Brown bear leaning over the Captain, one of guards wanted to rush in but the one leading the charge lifted his hand and formed a fist signalling for him to stop.

The one leading them now was Twenty-eight after the death of both Thirty-seven and Twenty-nine he took over leading the rest of the team.

He knew they could not act rash, they had already attempted to attack that creature but it did not go well.

It resulted in the death of two of there own, and he knew their alchemy pistols would not work on the creature.

He was about to tell the rest of his team about his plan when a bright blue light shot right past him and headed straight towards the creature striking it in the back.

The creature roared in pain and anger when the energy landed on the creature it created a blue flame that destroyed it's hair and scorched it's skin.

Twenty-eight and the rest of the guards were both shocked and confused by what just happened.

However they did not have the time to think about it, as the creature turned around to face them.

It's red eyes glowed in the dark, those red eyes were killed with overwhelming bloodlust as it stared at Twenty-eight and rest of his team.

Not that far away from them hidden in the dark was Aiden, he was breathing heavily while holding his alchemy pistol in his hands.

When Aiden located the group a plan formulated in his head one that would allow him to get rid of all of them.

And the plan was a simple one it was to let them kill each other, from watching their fight earlier he was able to see that the Brown bear was a little stronger than Captain Fields

Aiden knew he had no way of killing them himself but if he could even playing field, by weakening or even simply distract the creature it would give the Captain a chance of criticaly injuring the creature or even kill it.
