1st person POV
It was 9 in the morning. I decided meet Cheryl's parents to see what could I do now. I went downstairs carefully and her dad was sleeping on the couch while her mom was cleaning the table.
"Good morning Mom." I greeted her.
"Why didn't you eat the cake, sweetie? Did you not like it?"
'Eat it?' I thought to myself as I did not know I should be eating it.
"No... I'm just... tired..." I replied.
"Let's eat the cake together now. Dad, wake up!"
"Ah... Okay..." Dad woke up with tired eyes and walked towards Mom.
I went to them and they started singing the "Happy Birthday song" to me. At the same time, Dad placed a candle on the cake and lit it up. I got scared for a second as I was afraid that the thing on top of the candle would hurt me.
"Make a wish!"
"Okay." I closed my eyes to make them believe that I'm making a wish, even though I did not know what to wish.
Right after I opened my eyes, Mom said, "Blow out the candle now!"
"Blow out?"
"Yes!"
"Okay..." I did as she said and leaned forward a bit towards the candle. I pretended to be not frightened and blew some air to the candle. The thing on top of the candle disappeared.
'Oh gosh... It disappeared!' I thought as Mom and Dad clapped their hands.
Then, Dad handed me a plastic knife and signaled me to cut the cake. I did it carefully and divided the cake into three pieces. Mom then gave me three plates and told me to put a cake slice on each of the plates. I did as she said. Afterwards, they both took a fork from the table. I imitated them and took one as well. They used the fork to eat the cake.
"Sweetie? Why aren't you eating?"
I imitated how they ate the cake and I was amazed by how it tasted. I could not describe how it tasted like as I had never tasted anything like that before in my world.
"It's delicious!" I said. I knew that it was how people react when they ate something good.
"Dad and I needed to visit your grandma later. Do you want to go too?"
"Maybe not... I'll stay home I guess..."
"Okay then. We are going to get some rest. If you need me, I'll be in my room. You can do your homework."
"Okay Mom." I replied. I knew it was Saturday today and I needed to go back to school on Monday. I went back to my room after eating the cake and started searching Cheryl's school bag to see what's inside. I saw a piece of paper that had "reflection" written on it. I puzzled a bit and I decided to ask Senior K what was reflection for. Imitated more than 10000 humans, she was one of the most knowledgeable in my world. I sent her a text to ask her via my monitor.
Me : Hi Senior K. I want to ask what's "reflection"?
Senior K saw my message and responded.
Senior K : Are you talking about a reflection letter? If someone did something wrong, he may need to write a reflection letter. Is it what you're trying to ask?
Me : I'm not sure... I saw a piece of paper with "reflection" written on it. Maybe it was a reflection letter?
Senior K : I think so.
Me : But I don't even know what Cheryl did wrong... What should I write?
Senior K : I'm still in the meeting now. Cheryl will come and see me later. Maybe I'll ask her then?
Me : Okay! Thanks Senior K.
Senior K : No problem.
I put the piece of paper on the desk and searched for other interesting things in Cheryl's school bag.
I took out a book with "Narnia" written on it. I had seen Cheryl reading this book in front of her mirror before. Therefore, I knew it was her favorite novel and she always read it when she was bored or sad.
"I'm bored too. I should probably read it too..." I said and tried to find a comfortable place to read. Eventually, I sat on the bed and started reading.
Time flew as I was entirely attracted to the book. No wondered why Cheryl loved reading it so much. It was a good book. I had never read a book in my world as I never knew the purpose of the existence of books.
At that moment, I started to think about the life in the human world. There must be a lot of stuff that I did not know the real purposes of. I looked at the calendar hanging on the wall. Tomorrow would be Sunday, meaning that it was still a weekend holiday. Cheryl usually went out to relax and did whatever she liked on that day.
I also wondered how was Cheryl now. Was she scared? Was she wanting to come back to her amazing world? Was she figuring out how to get back to her world? The answer would be revealed soon when Senior K was done with her meeting.
After long time of imagining, I came back to earth and back to reading the book in my hand again. Picturing the fictional scenes of the book in my head was probably the most fun thing to do now, besides looking forward to the coming Sunday.
