17 Spying on them!

The Lea family was living in a relative small house all this time. The 3 brothers were used to live in the woods and always being on the move. Lina instead, was used to luxury and grandeur, despite this she behaved nothing like what a young lady from an important family would. The fact that she was finally out of his fathers grasp made her extremely happy.

She had contact with his brothers during all this time as she was growing up, still, she had never seen them for long periods of time. As the curious lady she was, she decided to take her time to observe her brothers.

Her first objective, Leon. She loved how cool he was and his smile made her feel safe even in front of dangerous situations like when the Kriger guards tried to capture her back. She knew that her eldest brother was blinded in the past but he could still see faint shadows. So in order to be able to observe her brother, she focused on not making any noise as she got closer to him. Despite all her efforts, Leon lifted his hand and waved at her with a smile on his face. Her plan had ended in failure.

Lina walked next to her brother and laid her tiny chin on his shoulder while he sat on the floor. "How did you notice me brother? I was really careful!" said Lina with a displeased face.

"Silly girl, don't you know this yet? I don't rely on sight since my accident so I had to come out with new ways to 'see' and I realized that my skin became very sensitive after losing part of my sight. That is why I can feel when people get closer to me, because the air that goes almost unnoticeable for most, can be felt and read by me. This has it's pros and cons, but to put it in better words... when the air strikes my body it sends signals to my brain and I can faintly 'see' the things around me. This field of view's range is only about 20 mts, but it covers all directions. Still, if someone wishes to ambush me from afar, It'd be hard for me to recognize them unless I saw their shadow. Even like that, it'd be hard for me to know what's in front of me" Leon explained how his sight worked, in order to let his sister know that he was not a monster. Still, compared to humans this was a monstruos ability that had many uses.

"I see, and what are you doing right now brother?" said Lina as she opened her small mouth in an O shape. She thought her brother to be even cooler than before, specially since she saw the reaction the girls hard back at the gate.

"I am keeping an eye on those two unruly cats. I was hoping to gift one of them to Lufti and one for you, but they don't want to stay away from me. Still, they need training as I can not take them with me everywhere I go. That is why, I am sitting her and they are sitting over there. They need to be independant, we will never know when we will have to release them back into the forest once more" said Leon as he shook his head.

When the Lea family went to the meeting, he left the 2 cubs inside the house and locked it. Only to come and find out that some of the things inside were utterly destroyed. He decided that in order for them not to harm anyone or themselves, they needed training.

"I see, I would've loved to have a pet" replied Lina in a sulky tone.

"You will have one if you behave. We can go on a trip and find a cute one for you but only after you grow stronger and we finish our business here" said Leon as he patted her head gently.

"Okay brother, I will go spy on the other two. Wish me luck so they don't find me!" as she finished talking she got up and after kissing Leon in the cheek she ran away to find Leroux.

Leon thought to himself, "Silly girl, they're better at me so of course they will spot you as soon as you try to spy them" but he did not say anything at all in order to not crush her excitement.

Lina arrived at where Leroux was. It was like a big gymnasium where people could come in and out in order to exercise. It was one of the facilities the Amdel family had created. Normal people had to pay a small fee in order to use the facilities, but Leroux was asked to please enjoy his time. With his strenght and being the brother of the Lea family head, he was allowed to do as he pleased. Still, he paid all the employees with a golden leaf in order for them to 'close' earlier so he could exercise in peace.

As soon as Lina was going to enter the gymnasium, Leroux voice could be heard from inside saying, "Come here Lina, we haven't talked since I've arrived!".

Lina's face changed, her curved and smiling lips turned into a pout as her fair and delicate brows frowned. "Brother! I was going to spy on you! Why did you ruin it?!"

Leroux's face became pale white. He was the one that dotted on Lina the most. Despite his personality and how he treated other people outside of his family, he loved Lina a lot and often came into her room with gifts and all sorts of made up stories to tell her and make her smile.

"I am so sorry Lina, it was my mistake. What if your brother prepares something really tasty for you to eat later? I'll go outside and recollect some ingredients to make you a really sweet and tasty cake. Can your silly brother be forgiven if he does that?" said Leroux with 'pleading' eyes.

Lina tried to hold her pouting face but couldn't stop herself from smiling. She skipped towards Leroux and hugged him only to jump back as soon as she got close to him "Brother, you stink!" said Lina as she pinched her nose.

"I am sorry, I am training. Don't worry, I will go clean myself before making the cake and we can call Leon and Lufti so they can eat with us. What do you think?" as Leroux talked, all the employees were looking at him as a monster. Why? Because he was one! As he talked with Lina, he held a 2ton rock in his hand. Only one hand! What's more absurd was that he dug his fingers inside the rock to get a better grip. His strenght and endurance were off the charts.

The reason why there was a 2 ton rock, was because he himself brought it. The funny thing is that it wasn't the one that weighted the most. Rocks from 1 ton to 10 ton were brought in by Leroux and he used them to do different exercises. It was absurd for the employees but it was only normal for the Lea family.

"Okay, but take a good bath! You are a muscle head like Lufti said! You're always doing exercise and trying to get stronger! Stop fighting all the time. This place reeks, I am leaving to see brother Lufti and spy on him" said Lina as she run away with all her might to get out of that place.

Leroux let out a loud laugh and looked at the employees of the Amdel family saying, "Isn't my sister the cutest lady there is?"

After a looking for Lufti for a few minutes, she found him at the storage room at the back of the house were they lived. When she spotted him, she didn't move at all. Instead, she tried to held her breath and took her time to spy on Lufti. Despite Lufti already noticing her, he was better at understanding her than Leroux or Leon, and because of that he played around with her in order to not ruin her 'game'.

But Lina's curiosity gave in as she saw her brother put things inside a big bag. She was confused as she had never seen those seeds, herbs and different other plants before.

"Oh, Lina? Wow you surprised me. I didn't even notice you there!" said Lufti as he turned around and faked his expression. Despite all this, his acting skills were horrible and that made Lina realize that he had noticed her all along.

"You are so mean! Tell me what is in that bag or else I will not forgive you!" replied Lina with a pouting face.

"Haha, don't be mad, I'll tell you, I promise I'll tell you. Look, inside this bag there are different seeds, herbs and plants that can help livestock grow faster, stronger or produce more milk. The things I am preparing right now are going to be useful when I visit the Boer family. We need to show them progress, and that is what I plan on doing. I will 'buy' the rights to be the only one in contact to several of their animals and show them a comparison of how the ones I feed do compared to the ones they feed. Do you understand what I mean?" said Lufti with a smile on his face.

Lina knew her brother loved animals and collecting things a lot, but she didn't understand him at all. She had never been seriously instructed in many things despite being part of the Kriger family. Her face changed to one of confusion as she tried to think about all the things that Lufti said, "I don't understand anything about those things. Are you going to feed animals then? Can I go with you please? Leon promised that If I am a good girl and I get stronger I can get a pet so I can go learn about animals for when I take care of the pet Leon will get for me!" as she explained she got more and more excited.

Lufti rubbed his chin and looked up saying, "I don't think there will be a problem with that. What if we ask Leon at dinner before deciding it ourselves? Do you want me to teach you more about animals and herbs?"

"Yes! I want to know a lot about animals. But not lizards, they are weird and gross and I don't like them" said Lina as she shivered.

"Haha, alright. Don't worry about those, I will teach you all I know" replied Lufti as he laughed at Lina's power of expression.

That day made the start of a closer relationship with her brothers and Lina was extremely happy about it. She finally felt like she was in a real family, not like before where no one really showed concern for her. She could finally feel relaxed and safe and she wished that this would never end.
